Elijah to come vs Antichrist

In 2 Thes ch 2 if you read it over and over you will see that the Antichrist is not revealed till after the rapture...and Elijah to come in Mal 4:5-6 must come before the rapture and restore all things...which he cannot do during the 7 year tribulation when the world will be blow apart....

top Christians know this....yet the world is looking for the wrong man first...which is not surprising...few are looking for Elijah or a Elijah like man....

and the Whole Bible says the same thing to everyone for its of no private interpretation....if you master all 66 books and 31,102 verses over lots and lots of hours reading and studying and implimenting the whole thing in context you can hold all truth that is promised in the Bible

So given the rapture can not come till One man Elijah gets here....and given Daniel makes it clear where the Antichrist comes from...Rome...and we know the Vatican rules Rome and the golden cup...the commentaries are clear....but maybe in a modern world now all religion is accepted as equal....but for the NT saints we know who the great whore is...The Vatican and Catholic church....

So we will have a John the Baptist like man that must come on the scene and do things...and the church won't be here for knowing who the Antichrist is...for that's after the rapture....the question is...why not learn the whole Bible and not worry so much about this TV world and cyber mess that is about to be destroyed....God bless

Have you considered the two olive trees that stand by the Lord in Zechariah's book? Consider this along with the prophesy of the second woe in Revelation. The two witnesses, who come down from heaven, testify against the wicked world, are slain, resurrected, and ascend back up into heaven.

I appreciate you bringing up Malachi. I haven’t read that book in awhile. I must admit I need to brush up on the Daniels prophecy and Johns concerning the “ Man of Lawlessness”. I have also seen documentaries that indicate the The Scarlet Harlot as the Vatican. Would you consider the city of Babylon in Revaluation as the Vatican?

I don’t know if Jerusalem would fit what scripture says. The Beast out of the sea indicates a Gentile from a Gentile nation. I would have to say the Babylon the Great would also be within a Gentile nation.

"The disciples asked Him, “Why then do the scribes say that Elijah must come first?”

Jesus replied, “Elijah does indeed come, and he will restore all things. But I tell you that Elijah has already come, and they did not recognize him, but have done to him whatever they wished. In the same way, the Son of Man will suffer at their hands.”

Then the disciples understood that He was speaking to them about John the Baptist.

Well, unless Elijah is prophesied to come two times, I would have to say prophecy fulfilled. Remember, it says "before the coming of the great and dreadful Day of the LORD." How long is before? So, he did indeed come 'before' the great and dreadful Day of the Lord, which I coming up.

Let's take a closer look at Malachi 4:5,6, which must be fulfilled in the future:

5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD: 6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest [or else] I come and smite the earth with a curse.

So this passage does not say that Elijah will restore all things. What is does say is that Elijah's ministry will be to convert the hearts of Jews so that fathers will be reconciled to children, and children to fathers.

However, if that does not take place ("lest" "or else") God will come and smite the earth with a curse. And Elijah's coming will be before the great and dreadful day of the LORD (which is actually the curse which will come upon the earth). So in fact, Elijah will not actually accomplish what he as been sent to do, since the unrepentant will remain unrepentant as we see in Revelation 11, and the Great Tribulation does come upon the earth (which corresponds to the day of the LORD).

It is in Revelation 11 -- which is after the Rapture -- that two unnamed prophets are sent to the earth. But the clues to one of them being Elijah and the other being Moses, are also given to us in verse 6.

These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.

When Elijah was on earth during the reign of Ahab, that is exactly what he did. And now he will do it again during the reign of the Antichrist.

Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. (James 5:17)

The anti Christ is the pope , The pope & the Catholic, Killed And persecuted , God saints Till the Pope GOT the deadly wound in 1798, When he was put in prison where the pope died, This was the deadly Wound that separated Church & state , That He was using to kill & persecute the saints with, About all the reformer tell us that it is the Pope.
These reformer will tell you Who the antichrist. And this is just a few of them, And some of these were killed by the antichrist.

Daniel doesn't make it clear that the Antichrist comes from Rome at all. None of the prophets indicate a Roman Antichrist. The Roman Antichrist theory is a modern Western interpretation.
