Actually, they were boils on their bodies. Is Arron's budding rod mentioned anywhere other than Hebrews? I am not aware. :unsure:

boils = H2914
טְחֹר
ṭechôr
tekh-ore'
From an unused root meaning to burn; a boil or ulcer
Yes, Aarons rod and event in the OT and why it did

I shoot from the hip and don't mind being corrected .. Moses had put the staffs/rods of the leaders of the tribes and God chose among them
Right here it is it budded and produced almonds on the morrow, next morning:

Num. 17:8 "And it came to pass, that on the morrow Moses went into the tabernacle of witness; and, behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi was budded, and brought forth buds, and bloomed blossoms, and yielded almonds."

The reason was to prove that God had chosen Aaron's tribe and to qualm their murmurings.

Well, Mary's cousin, Elizabeth was married to Zachariah who was a priest so he would have to be a Levi. So, Mary would be a Levi by family marriage however, her father's line would need to be Judah..........I think :unsure:

Family trees get confusing after a while.....lol! :giggle:
Hi, Lafftur, may I join in? It's nice to see you in the forum again. I've been a bit unwell until recently, and feeling better. Been reading here, family trees, rabbit trails, and trying to hold on...

Not easy to get going in the morning. Trying to follow the discussion here. Sounds like something is upsetting you, reading between the lines, and my own crazy days.

What can I do to help? You don't sound like the same happy Daughter of Zion. I hardly know you, but caring, and hearing the spiritual warfare. Praying the Lord will give you a sign of His peace this eve.

Eve of Christmas Eve. It's gonna be ok.

Yes, the rod that exposes rebellion swallowed false prophecy with the Pharaoh and with Moses staff. And the ground swallowed them up when Aaron's staff produced fruit of the living.

Gen 15:6
Tough one.
Definitely, Paul says this scripture a lot! Great question, you're right - tough to answer! :love:(y)

Genesis 15:6 King James Version (KJV)
6 And he believed in the Lord; and he counted it to him for righteousness.

Not quite sure if I understand garee's comments........ but, interesting......:unsure:

Why do you suppose God chose an "almond" branch/rod? (This is NOT a Bible Trivia question, just a question for comments)

According to scripture, put Moses, Miriam and Aaron in birth order.

(HINT: You'll have to research how old they were when they died.)

Also, for extra fun, put them in the order that they died....:unsure:

I would guess King David yet, he got in a mess.....

Maybe Able and his sons yet, they were not of Israel yet....

Hmmm..... perhaps it is a priest and his sons.....

I give up. Tell us who was always loyal to God.

Hello dc,

Thanks for your question!

Here’s the “To do” list for Adam prior to receiving Eve:

1. Dress and keep the garden of Eden;

2. Name all the animals;

3. To work the garden and take care of it;

4. Eat from all trees that would bare fruit, except Tree of Life because it had no fruit yet and not the tree of the knowledge of good/evil because Adam obeyed God and did not eat of it;

5. Looked for a suitable helper but found none;

6. Supplied God a rib to create Eve.

7. Received and named the female “woman” and “Eve.”

That’s all I can find but, fun stuff to ponder!

Eze 44:15.

Zadok and his sons. There are more scriptures that speak of Zadok and his valor to King David. Can you find them?

I see your point.........

The Events of the 6th Day, according to scripture (Genesis 2) and the order in which they (might have) happened:

1 - God creates Adam from the dust of the Earth;
2 - Breathes into his nostrils and Adam becomes a living soul;
3 - Places Adam in garden of Eden to dress it, keep it, and take care of it
(Note: Adam is told he can eat of all trees except Knowledge of Good and Evil, the tree of life is also in the garden);
4 - God decides it is not good for man to be alone;
5 - God creates all land animals and birds (not to be confused with "fowl" which were created and the 5th day);
6 - God brings all the animals to Adam to name them;
7 - No suitable helpmate is found for Adam among everything that God had created;
8 - God puts Adam to sleep and takes one of his ribs;
9 - God creates a female from Adam's rib;
10 - God awakens Adam and gives him the female to name and determine if she is suitable;
11 - Adam says yes, the female is suitable because she is bone of his bone and flesh of his flesh;
12 - Adam names the female "woman" and calls her "Eve."
13 - God blesses them and says they are to become one and multiply
14 - God is well pleased and that concludes the 6th day.

Amazing that Adam could name all the animals in less than 24 hours!

One thing new that I learned was the difference between "fowl" and "birds." I always thought ALL BIRDS were created on the 5th day but, no. All fowl were created on the 5th day and all the birds were on the 6th day.

Interesting...............:unsure:

Interesting recap of the 6th day. Where are you reading that Adam was to "determine if she is suitable" (#10) and subsequently said, "yes" (#11)?
