"the bus came by, and i got on"
i didn't pay for the ticket. it was already paid for, waiting for me.
so there's this question, did the ticket have my name on it?
"the bus came by, and i got on"
This is such an excellent, spot-on post it needed to be shared again.Do you know why someone started this thread? Because this passage thoroughly REFUTES Calvinism.
Denying that Jesus Christ is the Messiah, the Son of God, is blasphemy because you’re calling God a liar. Blasphemy is unforgivable. If Jesus dies for the sins of the "whole world" as Arminians understand it, then did his death actually pay the price for the sins of all people? Did he bear those sins on the cross and atone for them? If so, why do some go to hell? They would be repaying a price that has already been paid.
The Bible teaches that Jesus Christ bore the sins of the redeemed in his body on the cross:
1 Peter 2:24
"He himself bore our sins" in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; "by his wounds you have been healed."
So how do unbelievers end up in hell?
Ezekiel speaks of the Israelite people and the passage has nothing to do with the Gentile (your out of context again and again). I do think, you need to rightly divide the word my friend. Use context to understand what it says. Because you don't want to quote the entire passage in context you are confused my friend as I see it. Your Ephesians 2:5 will point you to Eph. 2:8 that by grace takes faith to be saved. Taking one text without consideration to the other text will con you.Being regenerated, being born again, given the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. All three of these are included when God takes the heart of stone out of the natural man and replaces it with a fleshy heart, Eze 36:26. Eph 2 explains how this procedure is accomplished, while the natural man is still dead, spiritually, and unable to respond to the things of the Spirit, Eph 2:5.
Wrong my friend. God uses means to save the elect. The means is the gospel. I am a Missionary Baptist and it’s my belief in the TULIP that drives me to witness to ppl. His sheep WILL hear His voice.
Then Jesus sending us all out with regards to the great commission it’s just a waste of time because the elect will be saved nonetheless. duuuurrrrr.
"the bus came by, and i got on"
God is not omnipotent enough to do it Himself? God needs our help? Seriously?Wrong my friend. God uses means to save the elect. The means is the gospel. I am a Missionary Baptist and it’s my belief in the TULIP that drives me to witness to ppl. His sheep WILL hear His voice.
That’s not what I said. Yes God could do it Himself. But He uses means to accomplish His will. The gospel is the means by which the lost are saved.God is not omnipotent enough to do it Himself? God needs our help? Seriously?
Wrong my friend. That’s not what the Bible teaches. Whom(this is ppl not the method) He foreknew He also predestined. What God predestined is the method not the people.
This is Primitive Baptist/Hardshell teaching my friend. It’s also called hyper Calvinism.God is not omnipotent enough to do it Himself? God needs our help? Seriously?
From a Primitive Baptist website...God is not omnipotent enough to do it Himself? God needs our help? Seriously?
What God predestined is the method not the people.
He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love: having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, wherein He hath made us accepted in the Beloved.(Ephesians 1:4-6)chosen us.
predestined us.
made us accepted.
the 'method' is His glorious grace wherein He did this to us.
the 'method' is His glorious grace wherein He did this to us.
The body of Christ has shepherds appointed to oversee the flockThe body of Christ is never referred to as sheep. You’re going back to the Jews before the cross.
The body of Christ has shepherds appointed to oversee the flock(See Acts 20:28)
