Which it appears as if Peter did not understand that salvation is also for the Gentiles when he first started preaching to the circumcision, so maybe the circumcision did not understand it either.

But Peter understood salvation is for the Gentiles when Paul got in his face.
Peter knew that salvation was also for the Gentiles which you have pointed out in the Book of Acts. When James sent the Elders from the Church of Jerusalem, the scripture says Peter withdrew and separated himself, fearing them which were of the Circumcision (Gal. 2:12). Meaning they were proclaiming Jesus and the Law of Moses, which means they accepted Jesus as the Messiah, but gave no credence to the Cross whatsoever. This is what we see here on this form; they are proclaiming Christ, but forsaking the Cross. They are fearing they will not be accepted by others who are enemies of the Cross.

of course.

thank you for posting some of your own words.
If you believe that you were on the Cross with Christ when He died for our sins, why have you misplaced your faith and agree to the things that appeal to the flesh?

“3 Know you not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ (plainly says that this Baptism is into Christ and not water [I Cor. 1:17; 12:13; Gal. 3:27; Eph. 4:5; Col. 2:11-13]) were baptized into His Death? (When Christ died on the Cross, in the Mind of God, we died with Him; in other words, He became our Substitute, and our identification with Him in His Death gives us all the benefits for which He died; the idea is that He did it all for us!)

4 Therefore we are buried with Him by baptism into death (not only did we die with Him, but we were buried with Him as well, which means that all the sin and transgression of the past were buried; when they put Him in the Tomb, they put all of our sins into that Tomb as well): that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the Glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life (we died with Him, we were buried with Him, and His Resurrection was our Resurrection to a “Newness of Life”).”

5 For if we have been planted together (with Christ) in the likeness of His Death (Paul proclaims the Cross as the instrument through which all Blessings come; consequently, the Cross must ever be the Object of our Faith, which gives the Holy Spirit latitude to work within our lives), we shall be also in the likeness of His Resurrection (we can have the “likeness of His Resurrection,” i.e., “live this Resurrection Life,” only as long as we understand the “likeness of His Death,” which refers to the Cross as the Means by which all of this is done):”

why do you accuse me of these things?
Why? Because you have left the faith like Demas and entered back into the world. You are being used by Satan to carry out his plan to steal, kill, and destroy. Those who belittle the Cross is not your Brothers or Sisters in Christ, but of Satan. YOU BELIEVE THAT IT IS YOUR LIFE THAT BRINGS THE VICTORY BECAUSE YOU BELIEVE IN CHRIST! WRONG! WHO HAS BEWITCHED YOU?

It is the life of Jesus Christ that brings the victory through us by the power of the Holy Spirit that delivers us unto Christ, death, burial, and resurrection so that He will manifest His life through us by the power of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit who is God does this when He sees that we are exhibiting Faith in Christ and the Finished Work at Calvary's Cross where the victory was won.

For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh. 2 Cor. 4:11

If you continue in your wicked ways (forsaking the Cross) the law of sin and death that gives Satan his power will destroy you and send you to Hell! Remember - Return - and Repent!

Your post is replete with hogwash. People who disagree with you are just that: people who disagree with you. That doesn't make us of those who have left the faith or being used by the enemy. Stop insulting people and start acting like the Christian you claim to be.

The Holy Spirit called your name twice, which means you are in covenant with the Lord; see post #10. If the Temple (you are the Temple) is not being built by Grace through Faith (Christ and Him Crucified), then it is misplace faith that God will not recognize. In other words you cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: you cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils (1 Cor. 10:21-23). The convicting power you are feeling is from the Holy Spirit; don't ignore it!

Wow... there's some serious self-delusion going on in the camp of Swaggart today.

News flash: you aren't the Holy Spirit either. That was you, not the HS.

11 But when Peter was come to Antioch (Antioch Syria, the city used by God to spearhead world Evangelism), I withstood him to the face (means Paul openly opposed and reproved him, even though Peter was the eldest), because he was to be blamed (for abandoning the Cross and resorting to Law).” Gal. 2:11

God only recognizes Faith in Christ Jesus and the Cross of Calvary where the victory was won, i.e., “The Finished Work, i.e., The Blood of Jesus.” Romans 4:5
Well, then again there was mention of some Canaanite woman pleading with Jesus to heal her daughter.

Matthew 15:26-28
But Jesus replied, “It is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to the dogs.” “Yes, Lord,” she said, “even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master’s table.” “O woman,” Jesus answered, “your faith is great! Let it be done for you as you desire.” And her daughter was healed from that very hour.

Nothing whatsoever to do with the Cross of Calvary which is only a piece of wood used in Roman executions back in the day. Jesus praise was because of her faith in Him that He could heal her daughter and not about the cross which would come later.

fixed it for you.

do you think Peter didn't have faith in Christ & His work?
you only quoted a small portion of the

wait, i'm sorry, not you

**fixed it for Jimmy Swaggart**

Jimmy Swaggart only quoted a small portion of the narrative of Galatians here, but the greater context i think presents a picture of Peter certainly being a genuine believer, however not acting in the best way that he should have, in this particular matter. this isn't questioning Peter's faith but correcting Peter where he was acting wrongly -- perhaps not having thought things through, and from the right perspective. this is clear to me because Paul says that he argued with him telling him that he was acting like a Jew at that moment even tho he lived like a Jew when these other men from James weren't around, and Paul calls that hypocrisy and says it originated with fear ((vv. 12-13))

so does Jimmy Swaggart think Peter didn't have faith in Christ & His work?
why does Jimmy Swaggart present this as though the Bible is saying God didn't recognize Peter's faith? Paul doesn't say anything about Peter's faith. he calls him out for being hypocritical and inconsistent, not faithless. he just tells him he's acting dumb, not that he's an unbeliever. not that his faith is misplaced. not that he is faithless.
Wasn't Jimmy Swaggart a serial adulterer and shyster? I would not take anything that guy says seriously because he has no credibility.

is @MessageOfTheCross a real person or a bot run by the Jimmy Swaggart Ministries™ Corporation?
I'm trending that this member is a bot and not real. In any case he is unreal in continuing to cut-n-paste the ravings of a serial adulterer and shyster. Probably nobody reads this stuff anyway. I gave up reading it when I noticed that it was written by JSM and not the member himself. Perhaps this member has no original thought. He is still an unknown entity because he never talks even a little bit about himself. It would be nice if he would lighten up a little, get real, and join the rest of the community. Time to get with the program.

There is NO belittling of the Cross going on with the Christians who are posting to you.

What there is going on is putting the Cross into perspective for you.

The Cross was/is a tool. It is NOT to be worshipped.

It is Christ Himself who we worship. And that must be emphasized and NOT "belittled" or made to seem less than the Cross on which He was Crucified.

It is NOT the Cross that Saves. It is the Lord Jesus Christ that Saves. It is NOT the Cross that Redeems. It is the Lord Jesus Christ that Redeems. The Cross was the instrument used by God to show His Love. We don't worship the instrument. And we aren't making light of it.

Just trying to put it into perspective a little.

It is good for us to remember that without the Lord Jesus we can do nothing. But we don't need to worship the Cross in order to remember that fact.

If you believe that the "Blood of Jesus, i.e., The Finish Work At Calvary Cross doesn't save and redeem, then you are not save. Your Father is Satan!

This woman struck the "Rock (Type of Christ - typified the Cross)," she spoke to the "Rock (make your request known)," and she sung to the "Rock" (with her worship); she received the "Water of Life" which is the Holy Spirit that healed her daughter.

See Exodus and the Book of Numbers what God commanded Moses to do (Strike - Speak - Sing).
