This woman struck the "Rock (Type of Christ - typified the Cross)," she spoke to the "Rock (make your request known)," and she sung to the "Rock" (with her worship); she received the "Water of Life" which is the Holy Spirit that healed her daughter.

See Exodus and the Book of Numbers what God commanded Moses to do (Strike - Speak - Sing).
None of this makes any sense whatsoever.

I'm trending that this member is a bot and not real. In any case he is unreal in continuing to cut-n-paste the ravings of a serial adulterer and shyster. Probably nobody reads this stuff anyway. I gave up reading it when I noticed that it was written by JSM and not the member himself. Perhaps this member has no original thought. He is still an unknown entity because he never talks even a little bit about himself. It would be nice if he would lighten up a little, get real, and join the rest of the community. Time to get with the program.
I'm happy at least nowadays he puts JSM at the bottom of most of his posts. A few years ago several members intervened with him because he use to just flat out plagiarize, never mentioning the source of all his copy-paste posts

I'm also happy that I've been able to get him to actually interact with me now as tho he is an human being, and though I am of course unhappy to see what kind of vain imaginations and accusations came out of him, it is a start. :)

Is English your first language? A simple yes or no will do.
But let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ (indicating that you are a 'yes' man) and your ‘No,’ ‘No.’ (indicating that you are (disagreeable and contentious) [Matt 5:37 KJV]

If you believe that the "Blood of Jesus, i.e., The Finish Work At Calvary Cross doesn't save and redeem, then you are not save. Your Father is Satan!
I wasn't saved by those things. I didn't pray to the blood of Jesus. I didn't pray to the finished work of the Cross.

I prayed to the Lord Jesus Christ and He Saved me. He didn't tell me to go back and worship the Cross.

The Blood of Christ and the finished work of Calvary are the means by which we approach God. They aren't God who Saves.

They aren't un-important but they aren't God Himself either.

The Lord Jesus says come to Me and I will give you rest. He doesn't say come to the Cross and it will give you rest.

The Lord Jesus says without Me you can do nothing. He doesn't say without the Cross you can do nothing.

Do you see the differences?

Hmm I think a few people are at 'cross purposes' on this thread!

Am not going to argue.

just A few things though. Moses did sing a new song. As do the saints in revelation, the 144,000 sing a new song only they know. MOses has a salvation song. See exodus 15. Its also in Psalm 90. All the israelites were meant to sing this after God parted the Red Sea for them, it was like their national anthem.

The Blood of Jesus saves us.
PEters argument with Paul was because Peter wasnt fully trusting in grace and going back to the works of the law by not eating with the gentiles. PAul reminded him he had been crucified with Christ and had to live by faith.

One thing christians need to remind ourselves is that Jesus died on the cross for us, and he didnt die in vain. With no cross and no suffering and no blood shed for us, we cant be saved. jesus had to give his life, his blood for us. He wasnt just a good man doing good deeds as an example. Otherwise we would all be like religious buddhists, trying to earn merit. He went to the cross.

Even Moses, great prophet and leader he was, cannot save or redeem us. Moses did not give his life for his people, even though he led them. JEsus did. Why do we call him the lamb of God. Because he was without blemish and spot, and he was the sacrifice for us. Lambs were acceptable sacrifice to God for sin.

Passover...when the isrealites left egypt, possibly thousands of lambs gave their life so that tisraelites could survivie the ten plagues, especially the last one that killed all the firstborn. . The blood of these lambs had to be on the doorposts. It wasnt anyone elses blood, it was the lambs.

Study for a bit on what Jesus sacrifice, representing the lamb means to you.

In the Bible, God recognizes faith that was unaware of the cross: in Abraham, Naaman, David, Elijah, Barak, Jephthah, Samson, Samuel, and many others.

We are only righteous through faith in Jesus Christ, Who died on the cross, but you have elevated the cross above its rightful place and made it an idol. Or, perhaps, you have uncritically embraced Jimmy Swaggart's idolatry and thereby committed the same error.

Recognize that the cross (NOT capitalized!) is an encompassing metaphor for the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and it is a wooden implement of execution. Put your faith in Jesus Christ, and when you use the metaphor of the cross, remember that it is nothing without Christ.

It was the faith of Christ working in them that did make them aware. Not of their own selves( no false boasting) But rather an imputed faith as a work giving us ears to hear what the Spirit says to the sects. The ceremonial laws were designed as shadows using the things seen the temporal to give us the things not seen the eternal understanding …..faith principle. They received the end of a faith the salvation of their souls that comes from hearing God called the "hearing of faith" (cant see faith) in Galatians 3. Just as we do today they looked ahead to a suffering savior as a our bloody husband used to define the circumcise ceremony . Those who walked by sight stumbled over the cross as they do today. They required a sign before they would believe. Jesus said rather... walk by faith. Sign confirm unbelief.(no faith) Prophecy confirm belief (faith)

Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls. Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you: Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow. 1 Peter1:9-11

The time of refomation has come.

I Peter 1:18-19 – “Forasmuch as you know that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold (presents the fact that the most precious commodities [silver and gold] could not redeem fallen man), from your vain conversation (vain lifestyle) received by tradition from your fathers (speaks of original sin that is passed on from father to child at conception);

“But with the Precious Blood of Christ (presents the payment, which proclaims the poured out Life of Christ on behalf of sinners), as of a Lamb without blemish and without spot (speaks of the lambs offered as substitutes in the Old Jewish economy; the Death of Christ was not an execution or assassination, but rather a Sacrifice; the Offering of Himself presented a Perfect Sacrifice, for He was Perfect in every respect [Ex. 12:5]):”

It is easy in ministry to fall into the habit of preaching about the Gospel, but not preach the Gospel itself. The Gospel Message is Christ, who He is, the Redeemer and Saviour, and what He did, die on the Cross for my sins as the Only Sacrifice God the Father would accept.

REDEMPTION

In Verse 18 Peter states, “Forasmuch as you know that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold,” presents the fact that the work accomplished by Christ on Calvary was all of Him and none of us. We play no part except as it regards sin. Man in his guilt could not atone for man’s sins. Therefore, God became Man, sinless, perfect, spotless, and blameless. He died in our place because He was sinless, God accepted His Death as a Sacrifice, with His Blood atoning for man’s sins, past, present, and future.

The word “redeemed” means to set free by the payment of ransom. This term refers to the buying of slaves in the slave market. Peter, by the use of this word, clearly states that all before Salvation are slaves to sin, Satan, passion, and self-will. No matter how educated fallen man may be, no matter how much money he may have, no matter how cosmopolitan and sophisticated he may be, without Christ he is a slave .

SILVER AND GOLD

The highest form of commerce that man values and strives for is silver and gold. However, no matter the worth of silver and gold, they are worthless when it comes to purchasing man’s Spiritual Freedom. The value of a human soul is so great, so valuable as to defy all description. The soul of man is so valuable that there is nothing on Earth that can redeem it. Therefore, God had to become Man in order that man could be bought back. His Death, His Body broken, was the only Sacrifice God could accept. “He Who knew no sin, became sin (Sin-Offering in the Greek), that we might be made the Righteousness of God in Him” (II Cor. 5:21).

VAIN CONVERSATION

This statement refers to our former lifestyle before conversion. Vain means “empty nothings.” Solomon said, “Vanity of vanities; all is vanity” (Eccl. 1:2). Life is meaningless nothings without Christ.

TRADITION

The phrase, “By tradition from your fathers” refers to the Mosaic Law, even though perfect and given by God to Moses, was taken by man and perverted until it had become nothing but tradition. The Law, even though from God, could not redeem man, but only point out man’s futile endeavors of perfection and good.

Our Faith must be placed and maintained exclusively in who Jesus is, the Redeemer and Saviour, and what Jesus has done, died on the Cross for my sins as the Only Sacrifice God the Father would accept.

THE PRECIOUS BLOOD OF CHRIST

Now Peter tells us the only thing that can redeem a slave of sin is “The Precious Blood of Christ.” Precious means valuable, honored, costly. His Blood untainted by the Fall was pure, and it could do for man what silver, gold, tradition, and the Law could not do. His Blood was the payment, which proclaims the poured out Life of Christ, all on our behalf. His poured out Life is the only thing that could satisfy Divine Justice. The Blood of Christ is precious, valuable, costly, and honored because the Blood of Jesus has done the following for all who will say “yes” to Him.

His Blood is precious because:

1. Through His Blood we have God’s Atoning Grace.
2. His Blood has washed away our sins.
3. His Blood has given us the Promise and Power of a redeemed, regenerated life.
4. His Blood has made us Holy, Righteous, and acceptable.
5. His Blood has justified us, and sanctified us.
6. His Blood brings healing to the mind, the soul, and the body.
7. His Blood frees us from the guilt of our past.
8. His Blood makes it possible for the Holy Spirit to live and dwell in man’s heart.
9. His Blood has made us acceptable that we may now enter into the very Presence of the Throne of God.

Yes, my friend, the Blood of Jesus Christ is the most precious substance in the world. As the songwriter wrote long ago:

“What can wash away my sin? “Nothing but the Blood of Jesus. “What can make me whole again? “Nothing but the Blood of Jesus.”

where was Moses commanded to sing?

he was told to speak to the rock, but instead he struck twice, and it was sin.
1. God told Moses to smite the "Rock." - Exodus 17:6
2. The Lord told Moses to speak to the "Rock." - Numbers 20:7-8
3. Moses and Israel sung (praise and worship) to the "Rock." Numbers 21:16-17

My question is why have you fallen away?
why do you accuse a man who says he trusts nothing but Jesus Christ, the One crucified & risen, of having fallen away?

because he eschews Nehushtan?

i wonder if Jimmy Swaggart™ ever preached much on Nehushtan?

maybe a reminder of what this is, is in order:

as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must that Son of man be lifted up,
that whosoever believeth in Him, should not perish, but have eternal life.
(John 3:14-15)
he took away the high places, and brake the images, and cut down the groves, and brake in pieces the brazen serpent that Moses had made: for unto those days the children of Israel did burn incense to it, and he called it Nehushtan.
(2 Kings 18:4)

You were saying something about certain saints not being aware of the suffering beforehand as it seems . Quoted below .

The faith of God that worked in them it made it aware beforehand and the glory that followed. They were receiving their salvation from the beginning when they first believed just as we today .We look back ..

Yes the law of God represented by Moses spoke to the Rock Christ by striking it as the father poured out the cup of wrath . One strike was all that was necessary . Because Moses struck it twice as a way of striking Christ speaking to the law for our sin, it was like crucifying Christ over and over .God used that parable to help us understand the law represented by Moses will not enter the new order (eternal promised land). Until then not one jot of tittle can be removed. Out of the rock came the living water of the gospel

While I agree that the faith they expressed was genuine, I'm not aware offhand of any Scripture to suggest that they were aware of God's plan of salvation... dying on the cross and rising again to life.
