Hey, if I am joking and hit the misspelling emoji/like button, that doesn't take away from someone in any way does it? Because I will probably be hitting it every six seconds when talking with EG...
It probably counts as a negative reaction. I'm pretty sure that even the zzz counts as a negative :(

There is nothing figurative about it. You are reasoning dyadically. Scripture is quite clear that Jesus bore our sins for us in his flesh. Whether or not we understand how this is possible does not diminish the fact. I do not have to understand how God accomplished in order to believe he did. Christ bore our sin in his flesh on the cross, not symbolically but in actually. If Christ did not bear our sins, who did?
That could also be language that he bore the burden, the curse, the penalty of our sins. It doesn't have to mean that he literally bore sin by becoming sin. I think you'll agree he bore the penalty for our sins.

Agreed. Christ paid the penalty (death) for our sins. He became the sin offering for our sins.

He did not "become sin".

I'm outa here for awhile....
Okay, talk to you later bro. Thanks for the conversation. :)
And for making me laugh. I need to laugh more. I'm too serious most of the time.

I agree. It's the same difference as in 2 Cor 5:21. Was Christ "made sin", or was he "made a sin offering"?
Apart from acts of disobedience, sin is a spirit who is satan. I can't fathom anyone agreeing that Jesus became satan.

Yes, He bore our sins - bore the penalty for our sins, our sins were paid for by Him. This doesn't mean He turned into my sin. He didn't become my sin - He paid for my sin in His body, bore the punishment I deserved.
To put this plainly, our sins were transferred to him and he bore the penalty for those sins in death. The shadow of this was the Azazel in Lev. The whole point of that animal was to have all the sins of Israel placed on the head of that animal to bear them away from the people. Like all sacrificial animals, the Azazel was the symbol or shadow of the reality. Christ is the reality.

"He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed." 1Peter 2:24. Peter is not speaking metaphorically here. He is offering a statement of fact. This is not symbolic or figurative language.
It's a statement of legal fact.

Yep. My only differing was in when people say He became my sin/turned into my sin. I don't like to hear that. I don't understand why they need to state that.

Yes, I read your post about how both animals represented Christ and I agreed with you. And actually, I saw a correlation between the one that is sent into the wilderness out of the camp and the verse about removing your sins from you as far as the east is from the west. :)

LOL. Dyadic reasoning is man's attempting to rationalize reality based on human lived experiences. Dyadic reasoning is a belief structure that attempts to refine and conceptualize the question of cause and effect based upon observable conditions.

Are you sure you're spelling it right? I thought dyadic referred to something with computers...
