Thanks for that. I am open to any and all ideas of a god or creator. I just have not found one that clicks for me.
Have you ever prayed and expressed to him you want to believe but find it hard to. As well as asked him to reveal himself in a way so you will believe.

We might just have to disagree that life is meaningless. Spending time making the world a better place is a worthy goal for all humans. I hope that you all can see that someday.
This is clearly a post where you present yourself as superior as if you alone affirm that life has meaning, after misunderstanding and overlooking multiple times what is being presented to you. You hope I can see that someday? LOLOLOL Yeah, that was your deliberate attempt to insult.

Yes you have erroneously accused more than one person of holding the views they merely try to clarify for your understanding. I could tell you what a Satanist believes but that does not mean I believe what they do, yet that is basically exactly what you did regarding the naturalistic worldview when shown to you what it logically promotes. My pointing out your error is not me being overly aggressive and insulting, I am simply pointing out your error.

You said you have read the Bible many times. My apologies for misstating your case.
Thanks for the apology.

I dont even know what a naturalistic world view is to be honest. I have read the satanic bible. I find that treating oneself as their own god is the wrong way to live life. Its a really selficous way to live life. Of course its not an actual religion either.

Can you copy where I accused someone of something. I can admit my own mistakes, but I am just not seeing this.

You're welcome. A naturalistic worldview is what you hold in denying there being a Creator.

That was in reply to someone saying that nothing mattered. I should not have judged someone for saying that. That was my bad.

I am glad also that you have admitted to not knowing what a naturalistic world view
is. We have been attempting to elucidate you on what it is exactly but you have
mistaken our attempts to explain it to you as being what we actually believe.
I really do hope that you can see how we see your mistake as nonsensical
in light of the fact that Christianity actually promotes love as the highest value.

Yeah actually I am really confused. I am a big fan of love also. Glad we can agree on that.

Love is of God. That you hold it in such high esteem speaks quite well
in your favour. I have said to you before that you seem to have a heart
inclined to seek after God, yet you have come to the conclusion that He
does not exist. I was once too as you are. I am concerned for your proclivity
toward the occult, as we were discussing in your other thread. I fear that
even if God were to reveal Himself to you, your rational mind might not
accept your experience. That is what I did initially, sought to rationalize
it away and find some other explanation for it. When you have decided
against Him already it makes it all the more difficult to overthrow all your
opposition to Him when such time comes, but still it is not impossible.

I stand here today to attest to you that there is hope for you yet :)

1 John 4:8 - Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.

The love you are able to give others comes from God

I'm very glad that this thread has settled down a bit, I was starting to get embarrassed as a Christian by some of the responses that I have read. He VERY clearly don't have a lot of actual bible knowledge by some of the things that chickenkiller has said. God sees everyone, even atheists as being worthy of Christs blood and is patient with them in hope that they might also be TAUGHT by someone so that they too might be willing to repent and turn to God. I think he holds some of the core values of a Christian, but maybe just in a state of confusion about the whole big picture of it. Why don't we just try and help him?

[h=1]2 Timothy 2:24-26English Standard Version (ESV)[/h] [SUP]24 [/SUP]And the Lord's servant[SUP][a][/SUP] must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone, able to teach, patiently enduring evil, [SUP]25 [/SUP]correcting his opponents with gentleness. God may perhaps grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth, [SUP]26 [/SUP]and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, after being captured by him to do his will.

I gotta remember to use this verse the next time I find myself in a shoot out on here. Looks like you won!

I find the subject interesting as well as the people. As a pacifist I am just not into violence. I bet that will help you understand.
I mean no disrespect but with a name like Chickenkiller just what kind of a pacifist are you? lol just amused me that's all...found it funny.

Max is aggressive? Dude, you haven't run into the most agressive members here yet. Max is tame compared to them..lol

I can see atheists doing that. There are times when they give other skeptics a bad name.

Im glad you are not offended, you had just gotten so aggressive that I had thought my ideas troubled you.

Just one of my Blond views..

Lots of folks like to equate violence and killing to God and I don't buy that... here's why...

In the beginning God created a planet to sustain itself and made all the preparations for man before he made man in His image. We had everything we needed to be happy and healthy and God set it up for man to live forever with one little request not to eat from one tree in the garden. If we had not eaten from that tree we never would have died and probably be living in the Garden of Eden today - but man didn't leave that tree alone and we will never know now will we?

But it was man - Cain killing his brother and not God and Cain did that because sin had entered the world and he was jealous of his brother Abel.

Folks are so quick to label God as being vengeful and killing, but it's our fault that sin entered the world. God said don't do it and we did it and now we pay the price and have pain and violence and suffering.

When people truly follow God they are peace loving, learn to turn the other cheek, people see Jesus in them as Jesus came to earth to show us humans what God's character was really like which is that God is a God of love to seek and to save those who are lost.

What are we lost from? We are lost from having a perfect loving relationship with God as he intended back in the Garden of Eden.

Religions aren't God and many of them are a poor example of what God's character is really like.

Anyway the wolves will be here shortly to tear this to shreds an I'm used to it.... but the pure fact is and you will never be able to change it is that God loves you and every human on the planet and has made a way out of this sin sick violent world in the form of His Son Jesus and it is a matter of choice to accept the gift of salvation that is offered or not - just that simple and God will not force you to take it. He loves you enough to let you make your own choice.

Welcome to the site and hope you find what you are searching for. Blond....

Is there a way to block people from posting?
You can't block them from posting but you can block them from reading what they post. You can go on their profile and hit the ignore button then unless someone else posts on something the person you don't want to read you won't see their post anymore.
