Hello brothers and sisters, this statement has a LOT to do with trusting God, obviously, and the more that I've come to know and understand God over the years, the more I've become convinced that this is some of the best advice that I've ever been given.
What say you? Pros/Cons?
BTW, I believe that Dr. Ferguson's quote is also an excellent and practical way to help us better understand and apply Proverbs 3:5-6 to our daily walk.

Hello everyone,
The same old stuff going on here. However, yesterday, one of the young, expensive car driving, thinks he"s is the greatest, black drugsters (dealer,etc.) made a mistake in front of a law enforcement type. He did not know that person was there and just about really messed up. However, it was just more verification. God worked this in an interesting way. They tend to hang out in the alley around this one house and across the alley at an apartment complex across. This morning, two patrol cars were out and coming up the alley. I don't know what was going on, but the officers were not happy.
These people are ghetto. And, they bring there ghetto life style with them. This was a much better area before they started showing up. Some never lived in the ghetto, but, that life style is lived anyway. I'm typing this and I can hear, periodically, a youngish black male speaking.
The officers know how stupid these kinds of people are, but they can only do so much. On a side note, they guy that made the mistake would not have any reason to try to speak to me unless he was one of the low life roof stalkers. So, I think it is very likely. And, he has a laughably high self opinion. So, I'll let you know where it goes from here.

Ferguson doesn't say in that excerpted quote. Without context the remark is meaningless.

The Bible, God's word, lists things that are to be done and not be done.
Some of it is guidance, others are, thou shalt not.
If human laws allow anything that is against what is written in God's word, don't do it.
Galations 5 has a list of the kinds of things people do that will not inherit the Kingdom of God. And, there is the ten commandments in Exodus 20, etc.
If a thought that is no good, enters your mind, just cast it out like the trash it is. And, we obey God's word because we want to . Obeying God's word just to not go to hell will get you in hell because that would be by works.
God's wants His people to love and obey Him. When you want to do right by God because you love and understand His word, it is much easier than just doing because you have to to avoid eternal damnation.

Yes to the first question and I'm not going anywhere, they'd, the psychos, would just follow anyway. These are very mentally sick people. I'm in my house, minding my own business and swamp cooler running. Pot smoke came into the house from the psychos on the roof. I told them to take their pot and go to the devil, so to speak and the smell has gone, but I need to was my arms and face because I'm itching. Be right back.

So yes, choosing to always be obedient, "to God", even when you do not know where such obedience may lead you (was the principle point .. IMHO anyway).

We know we should be obedient unto God but are not always and are indeed incapable of being fully so because we are still humans operating on this earthly mortal plane where God permits Satan to roam about seeking souls to devour.
