Accountability is great. I think every couple needs it. However, there's accountability and then there's stalking. ...
There's also the big difference in Holding Yourself Accountable to someone else and being held accountable...
It's sometimes the difference between showing that you are responsible and being treated like a child.

I can see value in dating outside the faith, but insisting on Christian values in the relationship & upholding christian boundaries in the relationship, but holding out for either a conversion or a different person when it comes to getting serious (unequally yolked, what?). For me, myself, however...
If I ever do date again, it must be someone who has a foundation of Christian faith. My relationship with Christ is so important to me that I feel I need that as common ground with someone to be able to build a lifelong relationship with them.
Secular friends in my life? Sure.
Secular woman on a date? None for me, thanks.

but then, I may be disqualified from this conversation anyway since I am uncertain if I would ever consider dating again.

Nah! You're not disqualified. I may never date again, and I'm commenting up a storm.

Muslims don't worship the same God, Jewish people do. But aren't Messianic people Jews who also believe the Messiah has already arrived (in Jesus)?
Though we may not follow their scriptures [Qur'an], they have the same roots as us regardless of how you look it. A branch of a tree cannot grow without its roots and there are many branches.

Messianic is quite a broad term, because there are people of multiple backgrounds in us, for example Jewish, Gentiles, even some Christians [I do not identify as these myself]. The thing we all share in common in Messianism is that we do not see an old and new covenant, rather we see it as continued, so we still follow the Torah laws underneath the fulfillment by our Messiah Yeshua [Jesus].

Faith and law together. Like when Abraham was first called by God, he acquired his faith then in his heart, but it was through the law [In this case circumcision] that was the seal of righteousness. We see the laws in this case as our duty and faith is in our hearts and minds.

Flirt to covert baby! hehe
Missionary dating for life, girrrl! Haha
Just kidding. I'd really rather wait it out because I want to be with a man of God though I personally see nothing wrong with getting involved with a non-believer.
I have known and read about some incredible people that developed a relationship with Jesus because of the faith of their spouse. I have a Christian friend who stayed friends with a girl for years, she got saved, he respected her space and her relationship with the Lord and eventually they started dating. They got engaged and are getting married in about two weeks.
So I mean, I guess there is no "black and white" example of what will happen if you date a Christian or a non-Christian. In fact, the most unpleasant relationship of my life was with Christian guy (no offense, fellas! haha) Not saying that these examples are the standard but you get what I mean :)
I just think that no matter what, you've got to know what you want, who you are and above all consider the relationship prayerfully regardless of whether the dude knows God or not.

I don't know. I don't think you should go out of your way to marry a non-Christian but if you become a Christian during your marriage, then don't divorce the non-believer. Missionary dating isn't a good idea.

My 2 cents...I was married to a non-believer (we all know how that turned out lol) so,no I wouldn't marry or date a non-believer again. In the same breathe,I wouldn't marry a woman just because she was a believer either,if that makes sense?
I can't be with an uptight, polystyrene hat wearing, precious moments,as for me & my house we will serve the lord plaque hangin over every door in the house decorating woman. That all feels a bit too stepford wives-ish for my taste.

I have dated guys who SAID they were christians and weren't. That was tough enough. Can't imagine how unpleasant it would be to date someone who was an unbeliever.

There was a time when I might have considered dating someone who was seeking God, but would not have married them. At this point in my life I don't think I could do that because I would really like to be with someone who is spiritually mature. I don't want to be the leader in the relationship.

I've never dated so I don't have any personal experiences to share, but I don't think I'd ever consider dating a non-believer (shun the non-believer! Shunnnnnnn*). Like Tintin, I talk about God and I ask questions and like discussions about the Bible, so if I couldn't do that with my boyfriend, well, I just wouldn't like it very much.

I'm not sure I've even ever been seriously attracted to someone who wasn't a Christian. I just think being close to our Creator is so attractive so if a guy isn't (or isn't even a believer), I'm just like "...meh."

I think it'd be a dangerous road to date them while attempting to convert them. I certainly wouldn't encourage marrying a non-believer, and since I think dating's purpose is to look for potential marriage partners, I'm not sure I see the point in it.

*Before anyone has a fit, that's from a weirdly funny Youtube video. Props if you know from where. :D

I could never collect Precious Moments figurines or collector's plates. I need the space for my katanas and gun racks ;)

Dating non-christians could provide more valuable information. Besides, there are more options to convert meself a wife.
Convert yourself a wife? That's not how it works! :p

I might go on a date with an unbeliever, depending on the woman's attitude towards God and religion and faith. In other words, I don't want a disciple of Richard Dawkins or an absolute heathen. The women I'd most like to date are out of my league, anyway.

When I see people from church date unbelievers I lose all respect for them spiritually. I immediately label them as "wolf in sheep's clothing" they keep that label even after it doesn't work out.
