Why is it that we imagine the virgin mary as having worn clothing similar to a veil, yet if someone else dare suggest the idea, it's icky? I mean, hello, most blessed among women, and errwun else who does it has cooties.

I know ladies who never take their head coverings off, except to shower and to sleep.

comes from a conviction they ought not pray without it, and one prays on and off all day.

hi el....ya.
the instruction from paul is in church.
i wouldn't go that far with it i'm pretty sure.
but to each their own. long as nobody's pressuring anybody else to do what they're not led to do i reckon.

That's how I am. I like all the time, but I don't ask anyone do so because scripture only mentions within the church.

and agreed. no pressure from these ladies, though. they know it's personal conviction, and the fact their husbands asked it of them.
nice women. and they can make me laugh.

I knew of one man in the ministry who used to get horrible demonic dreams at night. They stopped after his wife started wearing her covering to bed.

my mother used to wear what we called a kerchief whenever she went out...while we were little.
then it stopped (prolly right about the time the MSM lied about the vatican saying no more head coverings:rolleyes:) .

Not really, Scripture says the covering should be worn "when praying of prophesying." My wife prayed at various times throughout the day so the wore her covering all the time.

i'm not a hat person, but i do wear scarves anyways - especially in winter, and often wrapped around my head like that.
then what...take it off to go into church! duh...wrong! LOL:rolleyes:

Hi everyone,
So I couldn't resist popping back in here. We've been talking about women's head coverings. What do you think about this: (I don't want to totally derail the thread, but are men with long hair disobeying God too?)
From 1 Corinthians 11:14: "Does not nature itself teach you that if a man wears long hair, it is degrading to him..."
Also: what is Paul saying at 11:16: "But if anyone is disposed to be contentious -- we have no such custom, nor do the churches of God"?

Also, just to let you know, Save and Blessed and I are all good :)

I don't believe a man should have long hair.
