If I may just say this one thing . . . Condemning someone for doing something that doesn't actually affect you, because it's against your religion, is a bit like condemning someone for eating a donut, while you are on a diet. Just sayin'.
You don't get gay by getting raped... or are you now blaming the catholic church for all homosexuality in the world. They seem to like to bugger little boys.
You might be taken more serious if you stopped twisting and misconstruing half the things people said.
He never even mentioned the catholic church. I mean, seriously, where do you get this crap?
Yet, as you often do, you take this extreme view, twist it into something it was never meant to be and throw it back in that persons face.
I've watched you do this time and time again. It shows a weakness that you have to make such pathetic attempts to discredit people who are a challenge to you or that you simply dislike what they have to say.
It saddens me at the Christians arguing on this site.... over little things.
This is not a little thing...
This is not a little thing...
I mean it is not a little thing since it is on so many christians minds. I seldom hear people talking so much about all the lying that goes on. But the homosexuality.... oh that is a big subject!
Upfront (not that it matters), I am not gay.
That being said, I don't know how I feel about whether or not being gay and acting on it is a sin or not...but right now, I'm thinking that it's not. Again: I DON'T KNOW ECACTLY HOW I FEEL.
I know all of the verses that people use to point out that it is wrong and not how God created it.
BUT, I've also heard views on the other side of it. I also study a bit of ancient history in school and know that man-on-man action in the Bible wasn't what it is today. Then, it was talking about rape and that has never been ok. (I also don't have all the facts on this.)
I know Christians who are gay and are ok with God. They feel that it is not a sin (and I know they aren't justifying their sin by saying this--they've actually experienced God's comfort in who they are with this...meaning that they are gay).
So, I was wondering if anyone on here is gay and would like to share how they feel in their relationship with God on this.
Comments from straight people are welcome, too, of course.
I've just been incredibly curious and confused about this for a while.
Man puts the degree on what sin is worse then others. SIN is SIN! In God's eyes no one sin is greater then another. We all struggle with sin. The bible is very clear on God's position on homosexuality, as well as other sins. God loves the sinner, hates the sin in us.
