jesus is not God

yes we wont know the depths of God but we can get enough from the bible to come the the conclusion that God is not a trinity he is one not three .

You can come to that conclusion, not we. My conclusion is that we can come ultimately come away with the fact that God is God, and we are not. After that, I see that the Father sent the Son, who, along with His Father and our Father, sent His Holy Spirit into our hearts once we believed.

God is not a person. nor do three person make up God. understand what Deuteronomy 6:4 says.

"Hear O Israel, the LORD our God, the Lord is one."

Yes...one person? One being? Doesn't say, does it?

i do not deny the deity but support it. jesus is my saviour and God THEEE ALMIGHTY GOD. there is no distinction

Um, well, usually when you say another is "not a follower," that means yes.

i am simply saying that jesus did not teach about the trinity so WHY teach something that jesus did not even instruct us to do
he told us to preach and baptize in the name of the father the son and holy spirit and what is that name ? well itsts jesus christ

That's your interpretation. How I see it, it's clear that the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit is one name - that name is YHWH, God.

jesus is the name that was given to men in which all must be saved in. if that is not the name which Mathew 28:19 says then why did peter say in acts 2:38 to baptize in the NAME of JESUS CHRIST for the remission of your sins .

the bible says one lord one faith ONE baptism.

p.s i believe that yahweh is the name of God, jesus is an extended form of that name.

Ephesians 4:4-6

(5) One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
(6) One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

In the context, the one that they did not "understood not that he spake to them of" was the one who "sent" Jesus and the one from whom Jesus had "heard" the words He was to speak - this was the Father. It's not saying that Jesus is the Father if that's what you're trying to get at.

Alright - except that many people had the name Jesus. You can't argue on His name alone, though we confess His name.

oh an i do acept that many people are called jesus i never denied it like i said there is a famouse christian singer that is called jesus adrian romero. i mean my cousin to is named jesus johan.

the difference is they dont have any power but only jesus our saviour does.

From the beginning of the bible it is about “being holy as I am holy” so we can live with Him. We are human, not holy. The bible is about ways to cleanse us. From the beginning blood represented life. Sin represented death. Blood was used to represent turning from sin to life.

Then God made it easy for us, for God gave us Christ who shed that blood.

After Christ lots of men started their own religions on twisting who Christ was. Don’t be fooled. Christ gave His blood, Christ lived as a man and was God. We repent of sin, Christ gave His blood to represent life, through Him we live.

You can look to history to see how it worked out. Books on the history of the Jews show their specialness that is more powerful than men could do. The story of the beginnings of America certainly shows God can be trusted. Even Will Durant, the great history writer who wasn’t Christian most of his life said at the end of his life that no one could read history and not believe.

Actually right now I'm going through the process of being baptized - there's classes I'm going to for it right now (not that I don't know what it is, but the church, Bethlehem Baptist church, wants those who are going to be baptized to have a full understanding of it and the gospel before they go through it).

Not that everyone has to - look at the man in Acts who was baptized by Philip, for example.


And amen - only Jesus our Saviour has the power and the glory forever - the only Jesus truly worth the name :)

Amen and Amen! We must repent and believe in Him to be washed with His blood and be saved.

If you are looking for something that says Jesus and God are separate, that may be your best bet.

This does not show a separation between the father and Jesus. the son is in reference to the incarnation which God dwelt in when he was on the earth. God the father was reconciling the world in the son (the flesh)

I have, and it actually strengthens my belief that they were separate.

"For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things"

I read that is that God did exist in his son. But it doesn't say that the son WAS God

Amen, God is in us too, but that don't make us God.

This has been asked before but, If Jesus is God then who is His Brethren?

Rom 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

Col 1:15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:


Gen 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.


Question, .... Who is this talking about?

All mankind? The Son? Jesus?

Or All of the above?
