Why do you think I asked it?
I wanted to know how they think we are saved.
If I was asked that then I would say.
We are saved by faith through grace and believe Jesus rose from the dead for the forgiveness of our sins.
That's how we are saved.
Then that faith will produce works.
Quite simple really isn't it.

I have had many people ask me that question.
Shame you are your cohort went at me for a simple question I asked.
When Jesus walked the earth he was asked that question.
Would you and your friend respond to him like you did me?
No loving God makes him happy and works will follow.

Let me give you a couple analogies because because I know you love analogies
If you trust someone, you will act loyally toward them. Loyalty is the natural outcome of trust, not a forced rule.
If you run regularly, your stamina will improve. Improvement follows naturally from the action.
