the Day of the Lord is the last year of the final 3 1/2 years (1260 days) before Christ returns.
it Follows the 6th Seal, the heavenly signs which stops the total destruction of all mankind.
It is the 7th Seal in which are the 7 Trumpet plagues, the 7th trumpet is the 7 last plagues
the 7 Trumpet plagues end the rule of the Gentiles and punishes them for enslaving the 12 tribes of Israel.
and by the end -- earth is in total ruins with 90% of mankind dead.
Christ return and fights the battle of that great day of God Almighty.
are you aware after Christ has returned there will be a Second Exodus to Jerusalem, so massive the first will not be mentioned any more?

It says blessed is he that has part in the 1st resurrection, not the 2nd or third resurrection. Also this first resurrection happens at the LAST Trumpet in revelation, at the coming of Lord Jesus . So this is the last day it all fits together.

It's as if Satan has prepared a plausible explanation with supposed alien abductions. For some reason, aliens are drawn to drugged up rednecks with 5 surviving brain cells apiece.Agreed about the great tribulation and the pre-trib gathering of the church. I believe that once people on earth realize it, there will be a "sensible" answer. Maybe AI? Maybe there will be a vaccine available to keep people from disappearing.

over the last 6000 years no one has been "lost" --- God has only been working with the few,
Christ told His disciples it is the few given eternal life, not the many, at His return.
The many are raised to physical life by a 2nd resurrection to then be given their one opportunity for eternal life.
very few will not make it -- and be cast into the Lake of Fire.

I happened to come to my understanding of the 1st resurrection, by reading the Bible not listening to theories of men which are endless genealogies. As Jesus said my sheep hear my voice and they follow me . I heard Jesus in John ch 6 loud and clear and I still follow his voice found in the scriptures. Thanks for your time prayer for understanding is so important when reading the word of God . By the way George muller and others dismissed JN Darby as an innovator of scripture. I found that out after reading for my self in the Bible ! Praise the Lord continue in his word and the truth will set you free ! Amen I have utmost peace and confidence in the truth ! Read 2 Thessalonians carefully whole book . 1 v 10 end of verse , “in that day” that’s the day Jesus spoke of . Read verse 2 v 3 Let no man deceive you by any means : “for that day “ shall not come , except there come a falling away first , and that man of sin , be revealed , the son of perdition… KJV the false teachers at that time claimed that Jesus came and they where left behind , so it’s not a new doctrine. But take head the anti christ comes before “that day “
The Plan of God is simple, but complex at the same time plus God gave us His Word in ways making it difficult to comprehend with the carnal mind of man.
the Bible is not to be read like a book as I am sure you know.
Rather then scriptures allow me to use facts, logic and paraphrases first
man has been on earth 6000 years so far. the web states around 100 billion have lived and died or are alive to date.
Of those how many has God worked with and given His Spirit during the OT, a guess, maybe under 1000.
Like in the time of Abraham it was Abraham and his wife and then one son.
so what happens to all those folks? who knows how many died in the flood and then from there until Christ came the first time. even while Christ was a child --- many died!
Revelation 20 tells us after the 1000 years "the rest of the dead" are return to physical life by a 2nd resurrection, no the term 2nd is not used but it follows the First one.
Ezekiel 37 foretells of the 2nd resurrection back to physical life.
logically, the rest of the dead, must be everyone over the 7000 years that were not converted or died before adulthood, died at birth or aborted or what ever.
one other fact to add, the Name Jesus Christ is the only name given by which salvation is possible. So in the last 6000 years the vast majority never heard the name. In OT it was Christ that met with Abraham.
So just looking at the numbers -- it is the few only that have made it so far--- Is God that weak?? absolutely not! and even today out of 8.5 billion only 25% are so-called christians.
If God is attempting to save the world -now - it is not happening. and a war with Iran may start today and many non christians will die, are they lost?
the fact is God has not yet begun to "save every human" this is "A" day of salvation, not the only day.
God's Plan is 7000 years in length with a short period after the last 1000 years when the last day of salvation comes, this is the huge harvest .
I will stop here to see if this makes any sense.
Please post the specific verses you're using to support your claim. Which verses in Ezekiel 37? I still don't see it?
