So confused what is that third persons name?

JESUS said in Mark 16:17 they shall speak with new tongues;

Not some, not maybe but shall.

No reaon to try again, just whated to show you vesers that says what happens when people are filled.

Have a BLESSED DAY.
I said show me a verse where it says ALL believers will speak in tongues. You failed to do that. Please explain what Paul is saying here:

“Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it. And God has appointed in the church first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, helping, administrating, and various kinds of tongues. Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles? Do all possess gifts of healing? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret? But earnestly desire the higher gifts. And I will show you a still more excellent way.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭12‬:‭27‬-‭31‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Do you understand how a “body” works? Does man see with his ears or talk with his eyes? Do we walk on our shoulders and taste with our hair? Every part of the body has a different specific purpose and different ability. Just as every part of the body of Christ has different purposes and different gifts.

The trinity is confusing. It can be hard to understand. But the Trinity is beautiful. We learn about love, respect, relationship, sacrifice, and trust through the relationship and so much more. We see how a Father loves His Son. We see sacrifice through Him giving His Son up because He loves us so much. Have you ever thought about why God didn’t tell Abraham to sacrifice hisself? So much of how He desires us to live and treat others can be learned by just looking at the Trinity of the Godhead.

Now from modalism we learn how to talk to ourselves and love ourselves which turns into narcissism. A few examples:
Speak to Himself (John 17)
Love Himself (John 3:35)
Send Himself (John 8:42)
Obey Himself (Phil 2:8)
Abandon Himself (Mark 15:34)
I find this way more confusing but also where is the loving relationship. Did God really offer for sacrifice His one and only Son for us or did He just give us a mode?

No scripture.

Only personal remarks.
That sure does say a lot.

Like I said...

AMEN, I was baptized first, then filled.

I think GOD talks to us and leads us before we even think about him.

But since HIS word is clear we cannot be saved without both.

When you say you were in a covenant with HIM what do you mean? You were reborn?

You don't have to think anything when speaking in tongues.
No knowledge is imparted.
It does not make you smarter....

So what is the new covenant?

GOD set up HIS rule book.

JESUS said, we have to be born of water and of spirit to enter.

The new covenant is us repenting, and removing our sins via being baptized in JESUS name and JESUS filling us with the Holy Ghost.

It started when JESUS accended the second time in Acts 1 and will end when HE returnes.

Not my rules.

This is the new covenant:

The Holy Spirit also testifies to us about this. First he says:

16 “This is the covenant I will make with them
after that time, says the Lord.
I will put my laws in their hearts,
and I will write them on their minds.”[b]
17 Then he adds:

“Their sins and lawless acts
I will remember no more.”[c]
18 And where these have been forgiven, sacrifice for sin is no longer necessary.

That's the foundation of it

I did show you.

The body is hands, feet tongue etc.

When we get filled we will speak in tongues and we are part of the body.

Which part? some will heal, some will prophesy in church, some will baptize some will preach.

But you can't get any of those gifts if you don't have the spirit.

The trinity, believe what you like, it got started by men in the year 325, follow them fine with me.

1 Corinthians 12:3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.

I’m not trying to be offend you brother. I’m just trying to share truth with you because I love you. I’m way more concerned about who you believe God is compared to what you believe about baptism. Jesus the Son of God died for our sins on the cross. Modalism gives us two choices. Either God died for 3 days which is impossible as we know God is eternal and reality and life would have ceased to exist; or God didn’t die for our sins therefore we are all still bound for hell. Just please open your mind and think about it. God loves you so much that He sacrificed His own Son for you. He didn’t just switch modes for you and pretend to make a sacrifice for you.

But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. Eph2:4&5

A believers righteousness is faith in Christ. That righteousness is instantaneous when you ask Christ to be your saviour. You are then in a saved state. So, at that point the Holy Spirit dwells in you, for you cannot be in a saved state if he does not(Rom8:9)
But there is a secondary event available for believers, what evangelicals term the baptism, or filling of the Holy Spirit. The already saved can have that experience

@Genez

Look,,,,even Gemini knows the Christian RELIGION more than you do !!

Based on 1 Corinthians 13, charity (love) is the only one of the three theological virtues that will remain in heaven, as it is the eternal essence of God and our relationship with Him. Faith and hope are realized or fulfilled upon seeing God face-to-face, rendering them no longer necessary in their current form.
Faith, Hope, and Charity in Heaven:

  • Charity (Love): Remains forever. It is the greatest virtue and represents the perfected, eternal communion with God and others.
  • Faith: Will not be needed in the same way because faith is "believing without seeing". In heaven, faith gives way to direct vision of God.
  • Hope: Will be realized. Hope is the anticipation of future goods, and since the ultimate good (God) is possessed, hope is fulfilled.

Hope is part of faith.
Example:
I talk to you about my son enjoying chocolate ice cream.
You believe me and have faith that not only that I have a son but that he likes chocolate ice cream. You HOPE he likes the chocolate ice cream you have reserved for him when you meet him.

Hope is different from faith. Very much related....but different at the same time.

Now here is where things get troublesome.
Jesus told us the two greatest Commandments that literally ALL the Law and Prophets (how we should live our lives to the Jews) was given to us to be our overriding guide.

Now then....

People CLAIM that because they love God and Jesus they got an "All Access pass" into heaven. BUT many of these people have actually have zero evidence that they fulfilled the 2nd greatest Commandment....in fact their violation of it is completely apparent and outstandingly definitive of their lives on Earth. (No love for fellow man except in an objectively theoretical sense)

They have faith and yet a false hope that Jesus is going to be happy once He sees them. And that's because they never had a truly saving faith despite their scripture knowledge and talking about theology ad nauseum.

Huge difference between the two types of "believers". One has a belief similar to that of Satan: That Jesus exists and is all powerful.
The other not only believes Jesus exists but does everything possible to show as much love, grace, mercy, forgiveness and etc to those Jesus loved so much that He died for them. Because that type of love has become their whole identity as a person.

AND
This is why it's somewhat possible to "lose" salvation....it's just not very likely.

It's not possible to love God and show hate to people and consider yourself "saved". But that how John 3:16 gets twisted the most....by using "Born Again" instead of the proper "Born from Above" terminology.
Born from Above suggests loving people the same as God does....because that is God's focus...
"Born Again" suggests simply becoming more moralistic because you believe God exists and you believe that this is how you show love to people at the same time.

This is the type of believer I believe might be better categorize as dogs, which will be put out once the Master returns. You could write a perfectly scriptural holy spirit inspired commentary, and such as these will always come along just to take a quick sniff with the only aim to take a piss on it.

I love how you always separate tongues from the rest of the gifts as if it’s just special. We all have to speak in tongues but only some heal and some prophesy? You twist scripture to make it fit your view. We have to speak in tongues but we don’t have to drink poison and play with snakes is just picking and choosing which parts of scripture you want to follow.

And no you didn’t once point out that ALL would speak in tongues. And the reason didn’t is because it doesn’t exist in scripture.

The trinity is found in scripture. The word trinity was coined in 200AD. Modalism came around later 215-250 and was completely rejected as heresy. These heresies such as modalism, adoptionism, and Arianism were the reason that the trinity was affirmed in 325.

Amen. If one is baptized before they believe and are saved then they are simply getting wet for no reason.

Now....
A question concerning Corinthians 13:13....

I can see the confusion.
You cannot look at this verse in an isolated fashion or discount Paul's "shifting" of the way he speaks/writes.

Verse 13 is poetry. Yes....very much so.
Considering that over half of scriptures are some sort of poetry or explaining poetry or even quoting more poetry as it tells you another poem....

Paul is going to recite and create poetry as he was led to do so.

Of course faith will be realized the same as our receipt of more than what we had been expecting. There won't be anymore faith or hope. Zero need. But the love is going to continue.

GOD set up HIS rule book.

JESUS said, we have to be born of water and of spirit to enter..

How long have you been saved?
Three weeks?
Why are you perpetually stuck in the maternity ward?

Realize this.
We are saved.
How you believe it happened does not matter.
For we are born again.

In the meanwhile?

There are thousands of doctrinal teachings yet to be learned.
And, you are still sucking on the milk bottle, and arguing over it?

We need to grow up.

Like I said...

The moderator of this sub-forum requires no help from you.

You've stated that to use scripture is to be self-righteous - or something to that effect.

You can stop posting to me whenever you wish to.
You are not obligated.

Yes sir.
Faith and hope are different.
No problem there.

We have faith here right now because we cannot see God....
it is by faith that we believe in Him and trust in Him.
In heaven this faith will no longer be necessary because He will be present and thus faith will become useless.

NOW...if by faith a person means to TRUST someone - which indeed TRUST IS a part of FAITH....then, I'd have to agree since we will always trust God.

But the NT does not use FAITH in this manner, but as having faith in things unseen.
Faith, as the opposite to just TRUST.

Hebrews 11:1
1Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.

And HOPE:
Why hope when we have everything we ever hoped for?

Romans 15:4
4For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.

Some scripture refers to HOPE as the hope we have that Jesus has resurrected.
This also will require no hope when in heaven.

Now here is where things get troublesome.

Agreed.
Our faith will show itself in our actions/behavior.
And I agree that it is difficult to fall away,
but if Jesus and Paul warn against it...we can know that it's a possibility.[/QUOTE]
