I know, its seems to be an over there issue. But there has been a big rise in Antisemitism here in the US recently. I feel it's an issue as important as slavery was. As far as minds changed, it's not really my goal. It's more about informing people who are unaware of the issue before Replacement Theology takes hold.
Exactly! That's the people I'm talking about. Poor folks don't got nothing better to do with their time than argue about stuff that don't got nothing to do with them.

I have a theory that people in general have an intrinsic need to hate a group of people. It gives them a sense of purpose. And if they didn't have have Jews to hate they would find a different group of people to hate on.

Then the rest argue for jews because they are arguing against jews. And meanwhile the object of their argument isn't affected one bit.

Ok I wasn't sure who you meant. I think people misunderstand when they hear the Jews are God's chosen people. I think it would help if there was a good study on that.
Yes. The letter of the word often gets in the way of the spirit of the word.
Recently, I've noticed added "clarifications' (such as him) to the meaning of 'restrain' so that leans it more toward the meaning of 'constrain' (even though there is a reflexive indication that is present in it), so I've noted an ambition to look into with more depth, but I know this is more for my interest than to think it would do anything to change anyone's long held view of it.

They need an emoji for "interesting". I think it has something to do with how I was raised. We had a pastor that had a Messianic Jew do evangelistic services at our church when I was young. I was always a kid with "big ears", I heard things other kids didn't or would ignore. One night our church showed The Hiding Place, the story of Corrie Ten Booms life. I was possibly a little too young to see it. It made a profound impact on me. I always wondered if I would have that kind of courage if I were in that situation. My mother, realizing it scared the daylight out of me said that I would never have to face such a thing. Then when I was older I watched Schindler's List. At one point in the movie a little girl is screaming at Jews to leave as they are rounded up and taken away. And I thought to myself again, would I have the courage to stand in the face of Antisemitism if I had to face it?

We have seen the sudden rise of Jew hatred in the US and I believe it's because Communism is being taught and pushed again in this country. Hubby and I watched the movie Reagan last night, it's amazing how close it is to what is happening today. I recommend it if you haven't seen it. After Oct 7 happened I was shocked to see how many Christians quickly turned their backs on the Jewish people. My maiden name many could mistake for Jewish. It was my father's step fathers name. My father never had it changed. As I was discussing what had happened on a FB news site the person said to me " You're just using your victim card!!" Then I realized they were assuming I was Jewish because of the name. I didn't change it, I still have my maiden and married name on FB. I live in small town USA but I thought what if we lived in NYC? Would my parents be safe or would they have to change their name? So it's a bit more than arguing Scripture for me. Sorry for the long post but maybe someone here will read it and understand why I post the way I do on this subject.

Yeah, that. People who have never even been out of their own state, much less over to Israel or Palestine, find out a random fact about you that indicates you might possibly be a Jew, and they decide to hate you. They don't even have any skin in the game. They aren't Jewish or Palenstinian or Syrian or anything. They don't live anywhere close to the contested areas.

We'll call them A. Then group B decides to make it their mission in life to argue with A. So B group starts hating on A group almost as much as A hates on Jews.

But people gotta find SOME kind of group to hate, just to make them feel better about themselves.

There is no letter P in Arabic. Arabs generally can't pronounce the world Palestine and certainly can't spell it in Arabic. Yet they lay claim to the land anyway. I was going to put this in the "say something funny" section, but it's beyond a joke. And the God hating world system seeks to destroy the nation of Israel and give it to the followers of a mass murdering paedophile. Come now Lord Jesus. Put an end to this insanity.

So what is your claim on ?esus?
The English "J" sound is not used in the Greek language, so by that sort of logic He does not exist.

Also, are you really this ignorant, or is somebody paying you to spread propaganda?

you would think after the holocaust the last thing some people would become is an antisemite.sometimes makes me wonder if something deepers happening.

Those making claims in regard to Israel as their homeland, but in actually belong to the 'synagogue of Satan,' might their synagogue be a mosque? Sitting smack dab on the most holy ruins of the temple even?
Some say that the mosque and the Dome of the Rock are the abomination that causes desolation. In reality, it is Israel that has controlled the Temple Mount since 1967. It is Israeli authorities that have controlled access

Ho Ho. No, I don't get paid to speak the truth. You are right, we should be saying Yesous, not Jesus. You can blame translators.

I will remind you again that there was no "Palestine" until the 1960's when the arch terrorist Arafat claimed the name. I remind you again that "Palestine" was the name given to a Roman province as an insult to Jews. Palestine is derived from Philistia, Israel's bitter enemies. Nothing has changed, has it? The world system hates Israel because it hates God.

I tend to think a lot of things actually have changed Gideon.
The Philistines like many other people, have been under the judgement of God a long time ago.
God has been known to show grace and mercy even to people He has once punished.
Some of these could well have been ancestors to modern Palestinians, but just as likely so could the brothers and sisters of Jesus.
There seems to be a contradiction in that you acknowledge that the name "Palestine" was given long ago by the Romans, yet you claim that it was all started by Arafat, the man who could not even get a permit to start a tomato farm.
I am pretty sure that you just don't like them.
I see little reason for that because as far as I know you live in Melbourne.
Palestinians have done you no harm.
My father and grandparents lived in Palestine before 1948, and yes it was called "Palestine" even back then.
Despite their Western and Christian way of life, Palestinians did not harm them either.

Philistines are no longer a people and they were of no relation to Palestinians. Palestine has never been a country, Palestine was a geographic area and administrative district under various empires—including Roman, Ottoman, and British—rather than an independent, sovereign country. While Arab, Jewish, and other populations lived there, a distinct Palestinian state was not established prior to 1948.

Your point that it was not recognized as a separate independent country is ok.
Try to be reasonable about it though, because Arab Palestinians have lived there owning land and houses and having families for a very long time.
The Ottomans were neglectful of their empire, and Palestine has long been functioning like a country, and recognized that way by its neighbors.
They have their own traditions and dialect.
There is no country called "Arabia" willing to pay for their resettlement because they are "Arabs", and places like Gaza and Westbank have become their refuge.
If you speak to them, most want to be left alone to rebuild their homes and to grow olives and eggplants.
They do not want help from the outside, and for very good reason do not trust Western countries.
Throughout the story we have been fed stories about innocent "Israel" defending itself against brutal Arabs, but the outcome is that they have been systematically invaded, and so it continues.
Those who feel compelled to "bless" this sort of thing need to stop expecting Palestinians to pay the bill.

No, I'm not just saying there wasn't a country. As Golda Meir said "
  • Golda Meir: "When were Palestinians born? What was all of this area before the First World War when Britain got the Mandate over Palestine? What was Palestine, then? Palestine was then the area between the Mediterranean and the Iraqian border. East and West Bank was Palestine. I am a Palestinian, from 1921 and 1948, I carried a Palestinian passport. There was no such thing in this area as Jews, and Arabs, and Palestinians. There were Jews and Arabs.

The Ottomans were neglectful of their empire, and Palestine has long been functioning like a country, and recognized that way by its neighbors.

Mark Twin described the area in his travels.
  • Desolation: He described the landscape as a "silent, mournful expanse" and a "hypnotic, dreary, heart-broken land".
  • Lack of Population: Twain noted a lack of inhabitants, famously writing, "There is not a solitary village throughout its whole extent—not for 30 miles in either direction"
    .
  • Condition of Cities: He described Jerusalem as having "lost all its ancient grandeur" and Nazareth as "forlorn".

The Arabs have turned down every peace plan. Even Bill Clinton said “I killed myself to give the Palestinians a state. I had a deal they turned down that would have given them all of Gaza". They don't want peace, if they did they could have had it several times. [/QUOTE]

So now that you have a cover story now to keep killing them and taking their land.
The British winged like mark Twain about Australia too.
They never could relate to dry places.
Modern Israel is small and does not genuinely want peace because they want land.
All those peace offers have been fake anyway.
The people that you quoted were in on the game.

So now that you have a cover story now to keep killing them and taking their land.

No, we're not going down the same path as the other thread. Israel did not steal the land, they bought back their own land, at higher prices. We're not going with made up stories. Israel wants peace, they have given up what little land they have to have peace. Israel does not want to kill Palestinians, they want to live in their own land in peace.

The British winged like mark Twain about Australia too.
They never could relate to dry places.

There are before and after photos. I have a large photographic book that shows the difference.

Modern Israel is small and does not genuinely want peace because they want land.

But they have given up land for peace. So no, that is untrue.

All those peace offers have been fake anyway.
The people that you quoted were in on the game.

So every president that has tried to bring in the middle east, all those offers were fake. Bill Clinton was in on the "game"? Conspiracy theory forum is that way, here we use facts. Peace was offered by Israel, it was rejected every single time.

Joshua 1 tells us who owns the land.
God gave all, from the great sea on the west to the Euphrates on the east, to Israel.

I just found this and thought it was interesting.

“It’s Palestine! They were here before you!”
Were they?
Let’s examine it with some history, and show you how wrong this claim really is.
1f449.png
Shchem / Nablus
The ancient Hebrew city of Shchem is located in the Samaria region and is mentioned many times in the Hebrew Bible.
Joshua 24:1
“Joshua gathered all the tribes of Israel to Shchem, and summoned them, and they presented themselves before God.”
The Romans conquered this region around the year 70 CE and renamed it “Neapolis,” which means “The New City.” As you know, in Arabic there is no “P,” so it became Nablus.
1f449.png
Hevron / Al Khalil
You may know it as Hebron. The city of the patriarchs. This is where our patriarchs are buried.
Genesis 13:18
“Then Abram moved his tent and came and dwelt by the oaks of Mamre, which are in Hebron, and built there an altar to the Lord.”
One of Abraham’s titles is “the friend,” as in “the friend of God.” The name Hevron is derived from the Hebrew root h-v-r, meaning friendship or companionship.
The name was translated into Arabic as Al-Khalil, which means… drumroll please… the friend.
1f449.png
Shiloakh / Silwan
The biblical Shiloakh was a stream of water that channeled water from the Gihon Spring inside the ancient city of Jerusalem downhill to the Pool of Siloam.
Isaiah 8:6 explicitly mentions “the waters of Shiloah that flow gently.”
Again, the name has been adapted, and today we have the East Jerusalem Arab neighborhood of Silwan.
1f449.png
Ein Ganim / Jenin
Another biblical place. Ein Ganim literally means: Ein = spring, Ganim = gardens
So, the spring of gardens.
Joshua 19:21 lists Ein Ganim as a town in the territory of the Tribe of Issachar, and it fits the geography perfectly. The area is rich in water sources, the land is fertile, and it fits the “spring of gardens” description perfectly.
1f449.png
Yerikho / Ariha
You may know it as Jericho. The city Joshua circled around seven times when he led the Hebrews into the biblical land of Israel, and then captured it.
Joshua 6:20
“So the people shouted, and the trumpets were blown… and the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they captured the city.”
1f449.png
Azzah / Ghazza
You may know it as Gaza. Another ancient city mentioned in the Hebrew Bible. In this city, the Israelites fought with the Philistines, a sea people from the Aegean region who settled along the coast. Jewish presence in Gaza is attested by at least the late First Temple and Persian periods (7th-6th centuries BCE).
Judges 16:21 (Samson)
“And the Philistines seized him and gouged out his eyes and brought him down to Gaza.
And they bound him with bronze shackles, and he ground at the mill in the prison.”
1f449.png
Yafo / Yafa
You may know it as Jaffo. This is the city where the biblical story of the prophet Yonah (in Arabic he’s known as ‘Younes’) takes place. God tells him to go to Nineveh and warn the people. He boards a ship through the biblical port of Yafo.
Jonah 1:3
“But Jonah rose to flee to Tarshish from the presence of the Lord. He went down to Jaffa, and found a ship going to Tarshish; so he paid the fare and went on board…”
Arabs renamed this biblical city to Yafa.
More examples? Sure.
1f449.png
Shomron was renamed by the Romans to Sebaste, which later became the Arab town Sebastia.
1f449.png
Bet Shean, a name that appears in the Book of Samuel, was renamed Beisan. Even the name Bisan comes from this ancient city. Do you think the Palestinian influencer Bisan Owda knows the Hebrew origins of her name?
1f449.png
Bet El? Let’s call it Beitin from now on.
The Hebrew roots of this land are undeniable. This is why we keep finding ancient coins from 2,000 years ago, 2,000-year-old Jewish purity baths, Hebrew scrolls, Hebrew seals, and ancient winepresses.
“Palestine” comes from ‘Syria Palaestina’, the name the Romans imposed on Judea after destroying Jerusalem and the Temple, looting it, desecrating it, stealing the Menorah, and carving that theft into the Arch of Titus in Rome.
