There is no letter P in Arabic. Arabs generally can't pronounce the world Palestine and certainly can't spell it in Arabic. Yet they lay claim to the land anyway. I was going to put this in the "say something funny" section, but it's beyond a joke. And the God hating world system seeks to destroy the nation of Israel and give it to the followers of a mass murdering paedophile. Come now Lord Jesus. Put an end to this insanity.

You and I have had this conversation for some time here. This is an issue I have spoken on for years. It's just recently with Antisemitism rising around the world and, unfortunately,in the church that it's become a lightening rod when discussing it. As I said, we can't discuss when we can't even start from facts and historical truths. If you share a link that leans or hints at Jewish support or, heaven help us, written by a Jew that link won't be read or given any consideration because it's Jewish. At one point there I was talking historical facts and I was being attacked by the anti-Jew side because I didn't empathize with the Palestinians that the Jews stole all the land from. The fact that there are deeds and evidence that the Jews bought back their own land at exorbitant prices didn't matter, I was the devil and worse for not agreeing with their lies. So there is no way to have an honest conversation with dishonest people. That's what I've come to understand in discussing this topic. You can't have a good faith conversation with people who believe there is no such thing as facts, truth and history.

There are some people who are on the fence. I don't try to convince the deceived or those who are bitter and resentful. There are some who are open minded. I have to say that I hardly considered these issues until Hamas attacked. I took it for granted that all believers accepted that God restored Israel in 1948. To me, it is as plain as day.

I understand why many people prior to 1948 believed in replacement theology. Not everyone; Spurgeon was a notable exception. Even in the 17th century a few foresaw the restoration of Israel. But the restoration of Israel should have destroyed the replacement theology argument. It is a mystery to me why people who claim to be born again can be so spiritually blind.

Meditate upon this.

All who believe are the Israel of God.

Our Capital city is the New Jerusalem which is to come tdown from God, brought down by Him.

As pertaining to the Jerusalem of this age, it is all explained bully in the Bood, Revelation.

Now, quoting that Book, "Beware of those who say they are Jews and are not, rather they are a synagogue of Satan.

Having shared this truth from our Lord, we must always bear in mind that we are grafted into the original vine, therefore we must not lord it over them.

Grumpy Cat says: I live in southwest Tennessee. This ain't even my gossip.

Wherever you live, it's not your gossip either. Unless you happen to live in Israel or Palestine... In which case I'm telling your spiritual leader that I saw you on a Christian website. o.O

"But we've GOT to pay attention to and talk about this because... (insert pro- or anti-Israel arguments here.)"

Yeah? How much real difference has that been making in the situation so far? Anybody here been able to convince the president or prime minister or whomever to step in, either for or against Israel?

It's far more profitable to take a nap and let them hash it out. They won't do anything God won't let them do, no matter how many people on an internet forum disagree.

Some people obey God's exhortation to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Those who dismiss Israel as an antichrist construct are not going to pray that way.

I happen to believe that God answers prayer. So I pray for Israel every day. So do many others.

I'm not a fatalist. We are commanded to pray. So I do.

Those making claims in regard to Israel as their homeland, but in actually belong to the 'synagogue of Satan,' might their synagogue be a mosque? Sitting smack dab on the most holy ruins of the temple even?

Yes, @HeIsHere there's much truth in comedy as much as there is tragedy.

The tragedy is, while everyone wants actually wants to belong to Israel, that anyone begrudges, rather than love, anyone that actually does.

All I can say is this, given your insight some day it may come to you as well.
This is biblical truth.

There is one olive tree, still growing.
One covenant people, expanded and fulfilled in Christ.
One plan of redemption unfolding through history.
God has not abandoned Israel.
God has not replaced Israel.
God has fulfilled His promises in Christ and is still grafting in branches from every nation.
The olive tree is alive.
The root still nourishes.
And the plan has never changed.

I know, its seems to be an over there issue. But there has been a big rise in Antisemitism here in the US recently. I feel it's an issue as important as slavery was. As far as minds changed, it's not really my goal. It's more about informing people who are unaware of the issue before Replacement Theology takes hold.

I saw this posted in the other thread, yes, but refrained from liking it because I'm aware of your reservation to overlook that God is able to graft the natural branches back into this Olive tree. And, seeing that it is mentioned at all, since God doesn't waste words, this very possibly might even His actual plan!

is it a nation or individual people.
Anyway believe as you will, no point going round in circles, there is plenty available to all these days, for correct exegesis if one desires it.

Who wants to belong to Israel?

I should have qualified the statement as including whatever relevant interpretation as may be applicable. I was speaking in terms of everyone wants to be (considered) God's people, in general.

God Himself isn't going to change the mind of covenant believers or Replacement Theology believers. Here they are coming to lay the same stones to the same false doctrine and arguments again. It's best to stop rehashing the issue with spiritually blind people who don't even read the posts. It's just hoping to reach some newcomers before they fall prey to false doctrine.

What is the Alex Jones version of "correct" exegesis?

Ok I wasn't sure who you meant. I think people misunderstand when they hear the Jews are God's chosen people. I think it would help if there was a good study on that.
