We are responsible for our own actions, JESUS did what HE had to do.

Now it's up to you to do what you have to do.

You don't do nothing, NOTHING will happen!!!

So what don't you like about the part of how we get rid of ours sins?

The only way it could be water is if it is referring to John's baptism which, is not for the Church, so either way you're stuffed.

Grace isn't God doing His part and us doing ours. Grace is God doing everything and faith is us responding to what He has done.

Yes we must be baptized into the person of Jesus Christ, that is what the name means because it is only in Him that our sins are forgiven.

Galatians 3:27
for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.


Why do you keep insisting on this error of the need to be baptized in water when the scripture is clear there is only one baptism for the Church, the one of the Son?

Acts 1:5
For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.”

Ephesians 4:5
one Lord, one faith, one baptism;

Why, like Peter, can't you finally wake up and remember what the Lord said?

Do you not understand why we are baptized into Christ?

We all must pay the penalty for our sins yet, if we did so in our own strength, we would remain in death until it is thrown into the lake of fire where we would stay forever.

In order to remain just, God hasn't simply wiped the slate clean because Christ died. We undergo His baptism of fire when we are baptized into Him.

Mark 10:38-39
38 “You don’t know what you are asking,” Jesus said. “Can you drink the cup I drink or be baptized with the baptism I am baptized with?” 39 “We can,” they answered. Jesus said to them, “You will drink the cup I drink and be baptized with the baptism I am baptized with,

That is what happens when we are baptized with the Spirit.

The one who was responsbile for putting JESUS on the cross, HAD FAITH AND OBEYED.

Then Jesus could have easily said "the word and Spirit" or "the Son and the Spirit" or "my death and the Spirit" but He never mentioned water until Nicodemus mentioned physical birth.

At the absolute best, it would be referring to John's baptism with literal water as Nicodemus knew nothing of 1 Peter 1:23 and so the thought would have made no sense to him.

You need to look at the situation through Nicodemus' eyes based on what he had, not on what we would come to learn later, and see what Jesus is countering as to why He is talking about spiritual birth at all. It's not like Nicodemus came and asked Him how to be born of the Spirit.

None of it made sense to Nicodemus. And it could have been said as you say, but it doesn't. It's the glory of God to conceal a matter and the glory of kings to search out a matter.

Of course you're wasting your time if you keep on insisting water is the method of baptism for the Church.

It is not "also", it is only.

On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying,
“If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as
the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”

John 7:37-38​

So, every time 'water' is mentioned?
Will it mean the same thing?

Jesus was speaking truth. The way we know He was speaking about the gospel is because we compare scripture with scripture. Again, both water and Spirit are referring to being born again. This is evidenced by the parallel construction of verses 3 and 5.

No. Here water is referring to the Holy Spirit.

More poor discernment. I never stated water always symbolizes the word of God.

I never made the claim in the first place that any symbol had only one reference. You assumed and then insinuated it without any justification. I simply made reference to 2 passages.
