The Sin Nature is spiritual lust, not flesh and blood.

Sin is entirely rooted in the longings of the soul and flesh.

I agree with this. Haven't you discovered that the desires of the soul are harder for people to see than the carnal longings of the body which is why we can readily that sexual lust is sin but the desires of the soul - such as pride are deeper and harder to discern. It takes the scalpel of the WORD penetrating all the way to the heart to reveal them to us:
12For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it pierces even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow. It judges the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
(Hebrews 4:12)

There is one vice of which no man in the world is free; which everyone in the world loathes when he sees it in someone else' and of which hardly any people, except Christians, ever imagine that they are guilty themselves....The vice I am talking of is Pride or Self-Conceit: and the virtue opposite to it, in Christian morals, is called Humility. You may remember, when I was talking about sexual morality, I warned you that the center of Christian morals did not lie there. Well, now, we have come to the centre. According to Christian teachers, the essential vice, the utmost evil, is Pride.
(Mere Christianity - Chapter 8 - "The Great Sin" - C.S. Lewis)

One who believes himself to be perfect will also believe his misinterpretation to be perfect and never admit he is wrong. This is the whole issue with the 19th century holiness movement. One who claims perfection puts himself on the same level as God which is also what satan attempted. Didn’t work out good for him.

So you admit that you choose to not believe all that God's Word says then I see...

Matthew 5:48
Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

Matthew 19:21
Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.

Luke 6:40
The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master.

1 Corinthians 2:6
Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:

2 Corinthians 13:11
Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.

Philippians 3:15
Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.

Colossians 1:28
Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:

Colossians 4:12
Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.

1 Thessalonians 3:10
Night and day praying exceedingly that we might see your face, and might perfect that which is lacking in your faith?

2 Timothy 3:17
That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

Ya might want to go back to the Word of God and ditch the false doctrine and quit being a sinner!

in addition to what I said in my last post I would note that the the word tells us to:

...put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
And be renewed in the spirit of your mind
;

The word "lust" is epithumia (ἐπιθυμία) which is a compound of EPI (upon) and THUMIA (passion) together it means to set ones PASSION upon a unlawful object. It indicates a strong DESIRE - lust or longing.

Martin Luther believed that the reason people sin is because their WILLs have been damaged and lack the ability UNABLE to choose God or salvation. Luther even wrote a book about it called "The Bondage of the Will" He held that the effect of the Fall was to render the human will UNABLE to choose Christ or the Gospel. I do not believe this. Our wills are not defective, rather, the problem is our desires. We refuse to lay down the precious idols of our flesh and mind. The gospel demands that we crucify the idols of the "Old Man" and exchange them for the Y0KE.

Martin Luther believed

He taught heresy along with the so called "reformers" who failed to simply go back to God's Word and accept the whole counsel of God.

Those citing heretics are fooled in to also not accepting all the Lord says in His Word and as such cannot be taken seriously when it comes to matters of doctrine.

Martin Luther was a known drunk so who wants to get their doctrine from a drunkard???

He was even more evil than that since he participated in the mass slaughter of the Anabaptists primarily because they chose to baptize only repentant adults rather than infants

Yeah, the reformers got their blood letting on. Same with the catholics.

All these people are of their father the devil who came to kill, steal, and to destroy

They are following in the foot steps of their father the devil so you know they engaged in murder.

Says one sinner to another. The only difference between you and I is that I admit that I sin. The only way we will ever be seen as perfect is when the Father looks at the Son. I never said we shouldn’t strive for perfection. One who loves God will do so. The problem comes when you think you’ve actually made it there. Christ is our only chance as being seen as perfect. Who sets the standard for perfection? God. Who judges whether perfection is achieved? God. There is no one on earth that knows what it takes to be perfect and therefore no one that can judge themselves or others to be perfect.

Where do you get the idea that the many Scriptures quoted, are not from the Bible? Because it's certainly not from reading the Bible.

Many people expose their own fault for not teaching from the Bible, by finding fault with teaching quoted from the Bible.
The cerse you wuoted has nothing to do with the comments you added around it. I’m questioning your comments, not Scripture.

Obviously. 🙄

Interesting. And yet, Jesus was born of a mother, who had the same natural seed of all men in her own flesh and womb; From which the Holy Ghost made the body for the Word to come and dwell in:

Heb 10:5
Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:

2Ti 2:8
Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my gospel:

Romans{1:3}
Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;

Heb 2:16
For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham. Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren.

Luk 2:21
And when eight days were accomplished for the circumcising of the child, his name was called JESUS, which was so named of the angel before he was conceived in the womb.

And so, we see that though the body of Jesus was made of a virgin without a father's intercourse, Jesus' natural body was conceived of the same natural seed of man in her flesh by the Holy Ghost.

Isa 7:14
Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

The virgin birth was a miraculous sign of the coming Messiah in natural flesh of man. It was not a racial eugenics engineered by the Holy Ghost, so that a Messiah comes in the unnatural flesh of a superman...

Jesus' soul was sinless, the same as the Word in the beginning with God; His body was natural, the same as Adam's in the beginning made by Christ.

Adam's same natural seed that He was made with in the beginning, was just as naturally good for producing male and female offspring. Whose natural seed was inherited by all men born of a woman, including Jesus Christ born of Mary of the line of David and Abraham and Noah and Enoch and Seth and Adam.

Creation without God?

If any soul or creature in heaven and earth is made without God, then who is their Creator and Maker?

Jhn 1:2
The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made…That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh.

Rev 4:11
Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

This is how the lie of being born with a 'sin nature' apart from God, becomes an accusation against Christ, as being the Maker of sin and sinful creatures.

If not that lie, than the lie that without God, it's now Lucifer who is become a creator and maker of people in his own devilish image:

Isa 14:12
How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

People do not become sinners by natural birth, any more than Jesus was a born sinner by the seed of Adam in Mary. People become children of the devil by sinning like the devil.

1Jo 3:8
He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning.

Jas 1:14
But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

Sinning against god is by the wicked spiritual seed of lust from Lucifer, not by natural seed of man from Adam.

All men and women have sinned with the devil, by conceiving their own lust of heart after coming into the world. Lucifer does not now create souls with bodies made by him to sin. Men and women make themselves spiritual offspring of the devil by committing their own sin like him.

The god of this world no doubt loves hearing from man created in God's image, that because of his sin against God, man is now created in the devil's own image.

Surprised, in myself, and hear truth flow through you, thank you
I am seeing new in this truth you posted of. Thank you, taking all to Daddy, PaPa, Father in charge.
I hear this: When Adam and Eve sinned, Chose to not believe God they would die if ate from that one particular tree. Rather as said by the Serpent to them, they would be like God, aware of good and bad, yet saw they are as good as dead as soon as Adam the first ate with Eve. So the temptation was to be God themselves as Satan wanted in Isaiah 14:12. yet, satan did not see, man would be as if God themselves and not choose Satan who wanted to lead.

Then and now, Being a God themselves, ourselves (like God, yet not God) to choose right or wrong to themselves, above God. Therefore, whatever they choose to do is righteous to themselves.
Lord God, Father of risen Son Jesus for me, you take it all, have and use from men whatever you want, I am listening to your voice over the world crowd.
Now listening, thank you

I admit that I sin.

So what sin are you in to?

Watching porn? Molesting children? Raping women?

Yes, do tell what kind of sin you enjoy as a "sinner"

The rest of your post demonstrates you have no clue what the Lord teaches in His Word.

Again, you might want to go back to the Word of God and ditch the false doctrine and quit being a sinner!

I admit that I sin

You should REPENT of your sin and STOP BEING A SINNER!

Like maybe start learning what God's Word teaches and start acting on the Lord's instructions before it's too late and you spend eternity separated from Him which ain't nuthin nice.

New Man - Put on Christ

What makes us children of God is IF we answer the Father's call to abide in Christ having turned away from our old life of sin and walk with Him in newness of life

Ephesians 5:1
Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;

Ephesians 4:22-24
put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

Romans 13:14
put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.

Colossians 3:10
And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of Him that created Him:

2 Corinthians 6:17
come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.

This is what baptism is supposed to be about... making a covenant with the Lord, a public declaration of faith, a commitment to put off the old man and put on the new man and to walk in newness of life

Romans 6:4
Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

We are called to cooperate with the Lord, to be co-laborers with Him. He made us in His Image, so we have free will... the Lord desires for us to willingly choose to turn away from our old life of sin and come abide In Christ and not turn away, ever!

1 Corinthians 3:9
We are laborers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.

It's God's work, His power, His ability... but WE have to choose to accept His offer to be His children and turn from darkness to walk with Him in the Light.

John 1:12
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

2 Corinthians 5:21
For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Getting born again is the introduction and the starting point and if one truly believes and dies moments after getting born again, yes they would go to Heaven.

But few die immediately after getting born again so it remains to be seen... will WE to choose to accept His offer to be His children and turn from darkness to walk with Him abiding In Him until the end of our lives so that we might be saved???

Matthew 24:13
But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

Endure to the end as in... DON'T fall away!

You worry about your own sins and I’ll worry about mine. Wouldn’t want you to jeopardize your self-righteousness by worrying about me. Telling someone to follow scripture that you don’t follow yourself is kinda hypocritical wouldn’t you say. You should start with Matthew 19:21 and sell whatever device you’re using to post on here and give that money to the poor.

Thanks for posting His word .. but so many of these scriptures have nothing to do with sin nature is spiritual lust, not flesh and blood. Its called out of context.

So we believers have a new spirit.. a new creation.. we put off the old man and put on the new man. So if we have a new spirit .. you saying that new spirit can sin can fall..again? Were born again born from above. As Paul or the sweet holy Spirit in us forever said.. its no longer I that sin but sin that is in me. No it cannot sin fall again. It is not (us) from this world. This world is no longer our home.

If we are to believe the word of God then "Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me." "surely I was brought forth in iniquity. I was sinful when my mother conceived me"

We can all make Gods word say what we want when we put many scripturas together from different books/letters and tada.. "yes exactly what I was thinking." ;) Then if someone questions it.. yeah its not the the person posting.... no no.. they right the one that simply questions it.

So if we make a statement like this and just post this verse that verse.. explain how each of those verses show what your saying they show. Because many of them have nothing to do with this.

Thing is, I don't think our boy from Dallas has a grip on salvation and the fact that our sins are no longer counted against us. No one who is in Christ needs to worry about their sins. We are forgiven. We have been given new life in Christ and we can now come boldly to the throne of grace. I would not give him any credence or worry about a thing he goes on about.

I have him on ignore and was just wondering who you were responding to. He sounds like he could give the Westboro Baptist church some competition.

12For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it pierces even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow. It judges the thoughts and intentions of the heart. 13Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight; everything is uncovered and exposed before the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.

14Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we profess. 15For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who was tempted in every way that we are, yet was without sin. 16Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. Hebrews 4

Thanks brother. Not my first run in with him. I also added him to the ignore list after I replied. I haven’t dove into Hebrews in a while so thank you for reminder. Might be a late night of studying for me now. So it’s your fault if I’m late to work tomorrow 😂.

I'm not the one going around proudly proclaiming I'm still a sinner

Says the guy who refuses to sell all he has and give it to the poor.

You should follow your own advice and take a vow of poverty so you can "earn" your salvation crazy.gif

Thanks for posting His word

No problem. Glad to help.

I don't think our boy from Dallas has a grip on salvation

I was understanding and walking in the new birth back when you were still in diapers son!

our sins are no longer counted against us.

When we get born again our past sins are forgiving and we have a clean slate.

Romans 3:25
Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God

But, going forward if we sin we must forsake and confess our sins to obtain mercy and be cleansed of those sins.
(see Proverbs 28:13 and 1 John 1:9)

Galatians 6:7-8 (see Gen 8:22)
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

If one claims we DO reap corruption when we sin, then they are admitting they do not believe OSAS / Eternal security doctrine (and sadly many of their friends will forsake them!).... and if one claims we DO NOT reap what we sow, then according to Gal 6:7, that would be mocking God!

Adam and Eve were given eternal life by the Lord when He created them... but when they sinned against God they became corrupt and died spiritually and became separated from God.

So Gal 6:7,8 is quite the quandary, quite the state of uncertainty and perplexity for the adherents of OSAS doctrine.

Hebrews 2:2,3
For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward;
How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation

My apologies sister. It would be nice if there was way to know especially for us new folk that don’t everyone yet. Or maybe there is and I’m not aware of it. I woke up on time. Only made it through 2 chapters and ended up back in Matthew. My wife says I have ADD 😂.

No worries. As long as I know what I am haha. The forum used to have female with pink in the avatar section and males with blue but that changed way back. Your wife should know ;)
