Christians are new creations and the Holy Spirit dwells in them, my point was, if three months say after someone claims to have gotten saved, nothing has changed in their life, they still get drunk every night, still have multiple affairs, still beat their wife, are still a habitual thief, and still constantly blaspheme they never had a genuine conversion in the first place. We could add to that, they rape, murder and much else. There has to be a line drawn in the sand over this.In Christ, sin and death have already been dealt with and we have nothing to fear.
Romans 8:2
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.
In the Lord's eyes you are perfectly righteous and holy because of what He has done for us.
You receive the gift of perfect righteousness from Him.
Romans 5:17
For if by the transgression of the one, death reigned through the one, much more those who receive
the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.
The N.T is all about what Jesus has done for us.
Your Christian lifestyle will directly reflect your understanding of what Christ has done for us.
I am perfect IN Christ.
Your last sentence is great BTW
