" I don't know why they have restricted dietary rules when the Bible is very clear that God allows us to eat food that was once seen as unclean."
I once knew an elder with a OPC church. At that time, they did not yet have their own building so they held their service in an SDA church each Sunday because the building was not in use. I think is was nice of the SDA church to let them do so. However, they would not allow them to serve coffee!
I did not know that coffee was restricted. Is it because it is a stimulant of sorts?

So you jujitsu of Authorial intent and proper exegesis did not account for the Foundational truth on which all scripture is built on.
In other words, your understanding of "Foundational truth".

I am weary of listening to the rant and raves of the Faith Alone Regeneration Theology sects.

Just show your faith alone verses or shut up!

Not your conjecture or surmising of general statements about faith or injecting a definitive into a verse.

Just show your hand or give up the farce.

The same could be said for you.

I hope.

Oh that is definatley an AI photo but done when AI was only just available for use and still 'innocent'. I do not use AI and obviously neither do you with that crooked house you have going on

Hey! I like my avatar. My son made it when he was six.

I still don't think that is you in your avatar.

I actually had someone tell me that faith alone was true because the word "faith" was alone in the sentence

Grace can be a hard thing to understand. You have to know you are saved under a sole righteousness of faith in Christ apart from works.
However, someone professes to have gotten saved, they are a drunk, habitual thief, have constant affairs, beat their wife constantly and constantly blaspheme. Though they can be saved in that state. If three months later say, nothing about their lifestyle has changed, in my view, they were never saved in the first place

I think the guy's name was William Bates and he was with Ellen White (SDA founders).

He was a vegetarian and gave up coffee and tea.

He lived to the ripe old age of 80 years old.

He was born in 1792 and died in 1872.

Not sure if the other founding members of the SDA drank that wicked coffee brew.

There we have "in my view". No one was more with God or saved by God than adam and eve yet they chose pride and disobedience over God. By you're reason they were never with God in the first place.

Is it bad that I love that coffee brew? Lol

The word "faith" and "believe" are the same Greek word pistis.

Here are some verses from the gospel of John to support faith only.

John 11:40
Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?”

John 11:42
I knew that You always hear Me; but because of the people standing around I said it, so that they may believe that You sent Me.

John 11:45
Therefore many of the Jews who came to Mary, and saw what He had done, believed in Him.

John 11:48
If we let Him go on like this, all men will believe in Him, and the Romans will come and take away both our place and our nation.”

John 12:36
While you have the Light, believe in the Light, so that you may become sons of Light.” These things Jesus spoke, and He went away and hid Himself from them.

John 12:38
This was to fulfill the word of Isaiah the prophet which he spoke: “Lord, who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?”

John 12:39
For this reason they could not believe, for Isaiah said again.

John 12:42
Nevertheless many even of the rulers believed in Him, but because of the Pharisees they were not confessing Him, for fear that they would be put out of the synagogue;

John 12:46
I have come as Light into the world, so that everyone who believes in Me will not remain in darkness.

John 13:19
From now on I am telling you before it comes to pass, so that when it does occur, you may believe that I am He.

John 14:1
Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me.

John 14:11
Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me; otherwise believe because of the works themselves.

John 14:12
Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father.

John 14:29
Now I have told you before it happens, so that when it happens, you may believe.

John 16:9
Concerning sin, because they do not believe in Me.

John 16:27
For the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me and have believed that I came forth from the Father.

John 16:30
Now we know that You know all things, and have no need for anyone to question You; by this we believe that You came from God.

John 16:31
Jesus answered them, “Do you now believe?

John 17:8
For the words which You gave Me I have given to them; and they received them and truly understood that I came forth from You, and they believed that You sent Me.

John 17:20
I do not ask on behalf of these alone, but for those also who believe in Me through their word.

John 17:21
That they may all be one; even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me.

John 19:35
And he who has seen has testified, and his testimony is true; and he knows that he is telling the truth, so that you also may believe.

John 20:8
So the other disciple who had first come to the tomb then also entered, and he saw and believed.

John 20:25
So the other disciples were saying to him, “We have seen the Lord!” But he said to them, “Unless I see in His hands the imprint of the nails, and put my finger into the place of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.”

John 20:29
Jesus said to him, “Because you have seen Me, have you believed? Blessed are they who did not see, and yet believed.”

John 20:31
But these have been written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing you may have life in His name.

Oh that's cute then. Right. Not me in the avatar and have no clue why you might think it could be. My ears do not look like that at all.

Paul says the TC are the letter that kills, the ministry of death and condemnation, so he obviously did not believe anyone would live a sinless life. However, he also stated if you are a slave to sin it leads to death
John stated if we claim to be without sin we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us
He also stated no one born of God continues to sin
What do we make of Paul's and John's differing statements on this subject? The bible speaks of sin in two different ways. I covered one way in my example, what Paul termed being a slave of sin, where sin dominates your life, you live a wilfully sinfull lifestyle

In Christ, sin and death have already been dealt with and we have nothing to fear.

Romans 8:2
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.

In the Lord's eyes you are perfectly righteous and holy because of what He has done for us.

You receive the gift of perfect righteousness from Him.

Romans 5:17
For if by the transgression of the one, death reigned through the one, much more those who receive
the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.

The N.T is all about what Jesus has done for us.

Your Christian lifestyle will directly reflect your understanding of what Christ has done for us.

I am perfect IN Christ.

no, but I observe the 7th Day Sabbath.

Rome changed the 7th to the 1st and I see Rome joined with the Beast

4. “Constantine accepted Sunday instead of the Christian Sabbath”

This is anachronistic.

  • Christians were already meeting on the first day of the week long before Constantine.
  • Second-century sources (Ignatius, Justin Martyr, Didache) clearly attest to Sunday gatherings.
  • Constantine did not change Christian worship from Saturday to Sunday.
  • His law regulated a day that Christians were already using, but for civil rest, not church doctrine.

This is a crucial correction.

The change of day doesn't matter to God. Saturday was only commanded to Jews, not Christians. However, it's fine if that's the day you choose as your Sabbath, but shouldn'be forced or guilted on others.

If the change of day mattered, God would have made it abundantly clear to Christians. What matters is that we continue to homor the Sabbath as God instructs our hearts, and that can be any day of the week.

This is especially helpful for medical wokers and enforcement officers, basically anyone who has to work on traditional Sabbath days
