Being chosen in eternity past is a done deal forever! There is no un-choosing, God has drawn us to Him. . . .

that is not what the Word says,, If a person choose "willfully, knowingly choose to return to sin --- there is no more repentance available for that person. it the lake of fire

When Jesus told the crowd in John 6 to “believe in the One whom God has sent,” He was not teaching a shallow belief with no change of life. In the same chapter Jesus explains what real belief looks like. He says later in this same talk that anyone who comes to Him must eat His flesh and drink His blood which means to receive His life, follow Him, and stay in Him. And in many other places Jesus explains very clearly what true belief does.

Jesus said in John 14:15, “If you love Me, keep My commandments.” The word “if” shows a condition. The word “keep” shows action. Jesus never separates belief from obedience. For Him, belief means trust, loyalty, and following His words.

In John 8:31 Jesus says, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed.” Real belief stays with His teaching and does not walk away from it. In Matthew 7:21 Jesus warns, “Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.” Here Jesus shows that faith that does not obey is empty.

The rich young ruler asked Jesus how to have eternal life. Jesus answered in Matthew 19:17, “If you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.” Jesus then listed several of the Ten Commandments. This shows that for Jesus, belief is not an idea only. It is a life lived in obedience from the heart.

Some people try to use one sentence of Jesus to cancel all His other words, but Scripture never works that way. Jesus speaks with one voice everywhere. When He says “believe,” He means the kind of belief that follows Him, listens to Him, and obeys Him. When He says “keep My commandments,” He is describing the same thing. Faith and obedience are one life, not two separate things.

You reject Jesus words because you do not want to obey. Jesus said in John 3:19 that light has come into the world but people loved darkness rather than light because their deeds were evil. When the heart refuses the light, the words of Jesus become closed to them. But those who want truth will always come to the light, and the light will show them how to walk.

if you refuse Jesus's commandments how to you expect to enter heaven? Jesus was perfectly clear about it when he said in Matthew 19:17, “If you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.”
Works. Works, works, works, ….

Gee… How can I help Jesus save me!?

I know, I”ll follow the 10 commandments and live reeeaall good!

That oughta help Him!

Matt 7:21“Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.”

First in that day there were so many around Him saying "lord lord, Rabbi Rabbi, Master master" this is fact. So not everyone that says lord lord will enter the kingdom. Second the will of the Father.. its written to believe in Yeshua/Jesus Christ as lord. "For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.” If you love me.. this has been twisted to say something He never said. I don't know any one when He first found them they loved JESUS. How do you love someone you don't know? Then if you love me was said from the start? No at first when they came back over joyed the demons were subject to them He said.

Don't rejoice demons are subject to you but that your names are written in heaven. Later years later ... if you love me you will keep my words/commands. Some things He said were still under the law which they lived by. The rich man was living by the law. He was keeping the commandments. Which they all "tried" to do. Today you want ever lasting life its John 3:16-17 Rom 10:9-10. Ooh this will be good.. and if you brake one commandment....your still getting in. Its Yeshua/Jesus Christ believing in Him. Paul goes into this. What do I know lol

Since you believe the Torah/law does not matter, lets look at this from another view point.

If you were very successful in some career, becoming wealthy and had sons and daughters.

As you grew older and wanting to pass on you wealth, You must, you should take a hard look at your children.

Which, if any, could you trust to protect and even grow that wealth?

This is the same question the Father must determine of us.

The Father is not going to turn over “power” and eternal life to anyone He cannot trustand has not proven they can be trusted to do and to follow the same Way of life the Father and Jesus Christ have lived for eternity? Living by the same set of rules and standards They live by.

Why would you, as a father, turn over anything of value to a son or daughter that had no self-control, no morals, spent every dollar they could get their hands on and caused problems for the entire family, a person you knew would ruin everything?

Our Father has set before us a Perfect WAY.

“A hebraic definition of Torah is:

"a set of Instructions, from a father to his children, violation of these instructions are disciplined in order to foster obedience and train his children".

The entirety of God’s Word encourages, ask for, and demands our obedience.

Is it not written Christ obeyed perfectly? Why would our Father not expect the same for the rest of HIS Children?

If you will not do as you are told --- why would any one hire you -- and folks expect God to just take any tom dick and harry like a pig in a poke and trust them with power and eternal life???

I suppose you believe the leaders of the first century church, including Peter, James and Paul gave gentile converts a licence to sin in Acts 15, they only asked them to follow four laws, three of which are widely believed to have been given to bring unity at the council

night let me run something by you..

for those that believe Paul Taught the Law i.e. the Torah was abolished,

lets look at this from another view point.

if you do not understand or accept this is fact – don’t bother reading further.

Red Herring fallacy

The Question IS? Why would anyone think God the Father tested Jesus Christ to see if He would and could obey the Father"s will =-- which He did and then have no concern about would we obey - BEFORE He gave us eternal life and great Power??

No human in their right mind would turn over to some fool the button that starts WW3, but they expect God to give some untested person power just for saying "I believe"---- that is the definitions of insanity.

Red Herring fallacy

I knew you would have no answer, there is only ONE correct answer and you will never give it,

So you expect God the Father to give you eternal life and great power after never testing to see under what circumstances you will continue to obey, Christ obey unto death ---

God doesn't give anyone power. He employs His power in and through us. The Spirit isn't subject to us. We are subject to Him. It is God who is at work in you...Philippians 2:13.

Don't I know what Im talking about. Lets take the TC
Every time you dwell on an impure thought do you get on your knees and tell God you are sorry for transgressing those laws?
Every time you desire anything of your neighbours, whether material goods or a member of their household, do you get on your knees and tell God you are sorry for transgressing the TC?
If you ever have lust/sexual desire for anyone apart from your spouse, do you get on your knees and tell God you are sorry for transgressing the TC?
Every time you desire in your thoughts anything that is not yours to have do you get on your knees and tell God you are sorry for transgressing the TC?
That is just one commandment, I can go on to others if you wish

All your post tells me is that you don't submit to the Holy Spirit. He is the empowering force in a Christian's life that hekps us to overcome every temptation and sin so that can obey G9d and serve Him.

I can testify that He has been the overcoming power in my life such that the things you've mentioned are no longer a snaring temptation for me. He is THAT POWERFUL.

I'm really amazed at His power to help us obey Him! If you can't or don't want to obey God, then something is wrong, because He not only enablies obedience, but als9 the desire to obey Him.

Really? So you claim to perfectly obey the law relating to the inner man, the law only you and God need know you break? You have no snaring temptations whatsoever in this regard?
