Your insult is noted. It only reflects on you.
I picked them all. You're the one choosing some and rejecting others. There's that log again.Why not? You people pick the stuff you like all the time and ignore the stuff you don't like.
The observation is you bearing false witness again, one of your precious ten.It's not an insult it's an observation. The fact you can't tell the difference only reflects on you.
I never talk about sinless perfection. You guys just like to use that to falsely accuse and deflect from having to actually submit to God - that part of salvation that makes Jesus the Lord of a Christian's life, not just their Savior.
Making Jesus your Lord means you are no longer your own and obedience to Him becomes a part of your life with Him. We can't do this on our own, so God sends His Holy Spirit to be with us and help us to fulfill all that God wants of us and conform to Jesus Christ-likeness.
But lets get to the heart of what my previous post is about: God gives His Holy Spirit to those who obey Him. It comes from this verse:
Acts 5:32 We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him.”
I used to wonder why there are a lot of people who profess salvation in Christ but don't change and obey God, twisting His word to sound like people will be condemned for obeying Him. God gave me this verse. This explained and answered a lot of questions.
Consequently, that verse is followed be this verse:
Acts 5:33 When they heard this, they were furious and wanted to put them to death.
These who wanted to kill Peter were the Pharisees, the religious group! That's why people who encourage obedience to God get falsely accused and experience character assassination,
Since we can't fully obey God without the Holy Spirit, Peter earlier in the book of Acts talks about what obedience he was talking about:
Acts 2:38 Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
It isn't about the water baptism, but about the repentance and genuine willingness to obey God in carrying out this public declaration. This is God's criteria for giving His Holy Spirit to believers. And He can't be fooled. He knows who wants to genuinely obey Him - He also knows who are just giving Him lip service and won't obey Him.
The verse also says the the Holy Spirit is God's gift - very precious to Him. So He's not going to give Him to anyone who doesn't want to obey Him, who don't want Jesus to be their Lord.

THE REQUIREMENTS FOR ETERNAL LIFE ACCORDING TO JESUS
(All verses are from the ASV.)
Jesus never left people unsure about eternal life. When someone asked Him how to enter the Kingdom, His answer always pointed to the same truths: trust in Him, keeping God’s commandments, doing the Father’s will, following His voice, and staying united with Him.
One of the clearest moments is when the rich young ruler came with a sincere question. The Scripture says, “And behold, one came to him and said, Teacher, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? And he said unto him… if thou wouldest enter into life, keep the commandments” (Matthew 19:16–19). Jesus then listed the commandments to show exactly what He meant. Eternal life is connected to obeying God.
Jesus also said that calling Him Lord is not enough. Eternal life belongs to those who do the Father’s will. “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father who is in heaven” (Matthew 7:21). This makes obedience to God’s will part of the path to life.
Jesus also linked eternal life with keeping His word. “Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my word, he shall never see death” (John 8:51). Keeping His word means trusting Him, obeying Him, and letting His teaching guide our daily steps.
He also taught that we must abide in Him. “Abide in me, and I in you… for apart from me ye can do nothing” (John 15:4–5). To abide in Him is to stay close to Him, listen to His voice, and walk in His teaching. Jesus explained how this abiding works: “If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love” (John 15:10). Obedience is not a burden. It is the way we remain in His love.
Jesus also spoke of following Him, because He is the only way that leads to the Father. “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: and I give unto them eternal life” (John 10:27–28). Eternal life is promised to those who hear His voice and follow His steps.
He also spoke of the final judgment, showing that our choices matter. “They that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of judgment” (John 5:28–29). Here Jesus shows that eternal life is tied to a life shaped by obedience, faith, and goodness.
Together, these teachings show that eternal life is given to those who believe in Jesus, follow Him, keep the commandments, abide in His love, walk in the Father’s will, and live a life of doing good. His words form one simple, clear path.
Isaiah 60:1-12
Arise, shine;For your light has come!And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.
2 For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth,And deep darkness the people;But the Lord will arise over you,And His glory will be seen upon you.
3 The Gentiles shall come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising.
4 “Lift up your eyes all around, and see: They all gather together, they come to you;
Your sons shall come from afar,And your daughters shall be nursed at your side.
5 Then you shall see and become radiant,And your heart shall swell with joy;
Because the abundance of the sea shall be turned to you,The wealth of the Gentiles shall come to you.
6 The multitude of camels shall cover your land,The dromedaries of Midian and Ephah;
All those from Sheba shall come; They shall bring gold and incense,
And they shall proclaim the praises of the Lord.
7 All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together to you, The rams of Nebaioth shall minister to you;
They shall ascend with acceptance on My altar, And I will glorify the house of My glory.
8 “Who are these who fly like a cloud, And like doves to their roosts?
9 Surely the coastlands shall wait for Me; And the ships of Tarshish will come first,
To bring your sons from afar, Their silver and their gold with them,To the name of the Lord your God,
And to the Holy One of Israel, Because He has glorified you.
10 “The sons of foreigners shall build up your walls,And their kings shall minister to you;
For in My wrath I struck you, But in My favor I have had mercy on you.
11 Therefore your gates shall be open continually; They shall not be shut day or night,
That men may bring to you the wealth of the Gentiles, And their kings in procession.
12 For the nation and kingdom which will not serve you shall perish, And those nations shall be utterly ruined.
Yes, Christ will be called great because He kept them! The rest of us must mourn the fact that we cannot do so in ourselves. We are in constant need of forgiveness . . .but the one who keeps them and teaches them will be called great (Matthew 5:19).
Who truly believes they have a get out of jail free card? The people Ive always found who most flagrantly transgress the TC are those who keep insisting they must be obeyed.m"
yet many on the blog will not listen--- they run to Paul, who they believe has given them a get out of jail for free card. Sorry, no such card
Ok, now rip me and the above apart

It's really pointless trying to discuss anything with you since you claim that some of scripture is not inspired. There's no common foundation for discussion. The inerrancy of scripture is an essential Christian doctrine. Your view is unorthodox which puts you outside the Christian camp.Comment:
During my over 8 decades of life I have learned what Christ meant when He stated " there is not one good -- no not ONE!"
what Vassal included above, spoken by the Son of God, and after Christ's baptism, the Father said "listen to Him"
yet many on the blog will not listen--- they run to Paul, who they believe has given them a get out of jail for free card. Sorry, no such card
DO - "DOING" the will of THE FATHER -- that requires action and Christ did not say --- do what you hope Paul is saying.
Do I expect any to think, to rethink, to prove what they have been told by church leaders --Nope!
In the Word, the ONLY Word of God, we are instructed to do the will of the Father --- I have heard some of the most creatives way to get around the will of the Father on this blog.
When that day and that hour of sudden destruction comes and it is coming --- THE MANY will say "WHY ME'
remember the above.
Ok, now rip me and the above apart
When did I say God will condemn us for obedience?God writes His commands or laws in our hearts and then gives His Holy Spirit to us so we're able to obey and fulfill them.
But according to you God will condemn us for carrying them out.
Think about it.

Well law as we all understand law to mean has been abolished, for that law comes in two parts, what is written in the law and the penalty for transgression. Jesus died to pay our pentalty of transgression our sin. So, all that is left is what is holy, just and good(Rom7:12) that is not abolished, it has been transferred to an internal law, written in the minds and placed on the hearts of believers under the core terms of the NCthose that are insistence, the Torah and the Commandment have been abolishes keep saying they are under "Grace" meaning --- they are accepted "just as they are". nothing more is required, no conditions, say a few words and its a done deal forever.. that is not what Christ Taught.
I view Grace as a get out of jail for free, no cost no bail, just walk out.
I agree some talk a good game but do not walk the walk..
When did I say God will condemn us for obedience?
Why is it so easy for you to bear false witness?
I would have a conscience if I casually acted like that
So who truly wants a get out of jail card here?
Now I agree, God writes his applicable laws in the minds and places them on the hearts of believers under the core terms of the NC. So its remarkable, many do not know in their minds what has been placed there. Tyey only have a watered down conviction of what obedience to the TC entails
Being chosen in eternity past is a done deal forever! There is no un-choosing, God has drawn us to Him. . . .those that are insistence, the Torah and the Commandment have been abolishes keep saying they are under "Grace" meaning --- they are accepted "just as they are". nothing more is required, no conditions, say a few words and its a done deal forever.. that is not what Christ Taught.

Don't I know what Im talking about. Lets take the TCYou said that those who obey God's TC flagrantly transgress. If God went to all the trouble of writing them on our hearts AND giving us the Holy Spirit, why would God think we have flagrantly transgressed if we follow through and obey Him on them???
How can our obedience of what God wrote in our hearts and empowered by the Holy Spirit be watered down?
You don't know what you're talk8ng about.

We could add to that, anyone who insists you must obey the TC to remain saved, will need to fully obey them themselves:Everyone who insists that they keep the law will be condemned for not keeping it!
I agree! Christ came to save sinners, not those who believe that they are somehow righteous in themselves.We could add to that, anyone who insists you must obey the TC to remain saved, will need to fully obey them themselves:
The measure you use to judge others will be used to judge you Matt7:2
