The Hebrew text does not have the Hebrew word "sons" there. It's a poor translation.
I said the LXX (Greek Septuagint) has sons. The Masoretic Text has tribes.

Levi was never one of the 12 tribes
I said the LXX (Greek Septuagint) has sons.
And I said it's a poor translation. The original does not have "sons".
Eze_48:31 And the gates of the city shall be after the names of the tribes of Israel: three gates northward; one gate of Reuben, one gate of Judah, one gate of Levi.
That's a prophecy, not a historical description of what was.
It matches scripture already provided that proves Levi was always one of the 12 tribes. It's ridiculous to even deny such a well known fact.
Do you know how to count? If you do, show me Levi in the 12 tribes that formed the outer perimeter of the camp in the image I posted. Levi was the 13th tribe set apart to God as long as the tabernacle/temple existed. If you don't know how to count, then I can see how you're confused.
Do you know how to count?
Yes, can you? I already showed Levi was one of the 12 tribes, where you decided to deny the word tribe is used, and Levi was listed 3rd out of the 12 tribes. You are wrong, but you refuse to admit it so go your way with your intentional error.
Yes, that was in Egypt. Now admit that Levi was not one of the 12 tribes in the wilderness or Israel
Levi has always been one of the 12 tribes.
You sir, have a mind that doesn't work
ChristRoseFromTheDead, you have already been checkmated. Why are you still arguing about this?
Levi is a tribe of Israel, but it wasn't numbered among the 12 tribes while the tabernacle and temple were standing because it was the 13th tribe set apart to God. What kind of mind can't understand this simple mathematical and spiritual truth?
Yes, Levi was fulfilling this role. But in Rev. 7:4-8 Levi has been returned to the group, and Dan has been taken unto God to fulfill a last days role. This is a truth as well.
This current discussion is not about anything before or after the dispensation of the law. During that dispensation Levi was not one of the 12 tribes.
