After reading this, I can only assume that you had a bad dream. I have no idea what you are talking about. . . .
Not surprised.

Well it certainly doesn't say he was talking about the elect exclusivelyDoesn't say that
There you go again, trying to drag God down to the same level as man!
God is not man no matter how much you try to make Him like us. He is not only able to create men for destruction, but has indeed done so. At the same time, that does not mean that He takes pleasure in it.
Our ways are not God's ways!
I'm posting this because I believe you miss hearing from me. . . .
ok well I clealry must have missed that then that is my bad I apologize for that
who else speaks in tongues? Demons? witches? unbelievers?
I have never seen this in scripture and I have encountered all three of these things demons witches (my sister for one) and unbelievers never seen or heard of this so where do you get your info from?
I believe he saves us for our benefityes this is true he has saved us for his own pleasure and for anyone who believes on the son
ok well again I apologize sometimes words tend to blur together for me but either way I have been searching for any other verses that speak of the gifts ceasing in any way but cannot find itWell you missed it twice.
Yes he does indeedI believe he saves us for our benefit

Unreal that anyone would follow or listen to this sad, sad man. I would rather drink turpentine and pee on a grassfire.

As for the context well I won't ask you to provide it again as I know it can be a chore but even so as far as the word of God is concerned I am still searching for any evidence aside from one verse that says they will cease when the perfect has been perfected
It doesn't change. It only unfolds. It moves forward in stages and phases. If his attributes don't change why would his plan for salvation or redemption?
It was a train wreck after train wreck......I am now stupider for watching the whole thing. It was a horrible sermon, nothing uplifting there that is for sure.
Evidently one can make a career out of Biblically illiterate gaslighting if you toss in a few buzzwords and catchphrases.Unreal that anyone would follow or listen to this sad, sad man. I would rather drink turpentine and pee on a grassfire.
Psychological battery. The refuge of the most craven of cowards. It was a train wreck after train wreck......I am now stupider for watching the whole thing.
And "sermon" is correct. No teaching involved throughout.
you do have some good points brother, and i am listening m, and you are making difference, I believe your only elect until saved, I believe where is does go wrong is everybody is called. Which is also like being chosenYes he does indeed
Yes we must not build our doctrines from a single verse so yes I do require more than one to make it true as for it being achieved already well the thing is unbelievers still exist as do unbelieving jews so if it was achieved then we would not see it in operation today yet we do even if only as you say in special cirumstances and that scripture there yes it says it was speaking to the people it references but nowhere states it has or will cease in todays ageYou need more than one verse in scripture to make it true?
Understand the purpose of tongues and it makes sense. God did not give us gifts to make us feel good within ourselves but for others.
Tongues was specifically given to the Jews to say here is your Messiah, rest in Him and to warn Israel of impending judgement. In Isaiah's day it was achieved through the invasion of Assyria. In the 1st century is was achieved through the destruction of the Temple.
Is.28:11-12
For with stammering lips and another tongue
He will speak to this people, (Israel)
12 To whom He said, “This is the rest with which
You may cause the weary to rest,”
And, “This is the refreshing”;
Yet they would not hear.
Paul draws on this to explain the gift of tongues in 1Cor.14:20-22. One cannot ignore the purpose of something without falling into error.
You sure you made it to the end?I watched it and it sounded to me like he squarely put the responsibility to respond positively to God on the shoulders of the person being given the word or face the consequences.
I see no responsibility or accountability of people in your doctrine, only God's "so there, take that". A God who takes no pleasure in death yet deliberately creates a people solely for the purpose of death? Contradiction much?![]()
