A yoda goblet. A food processor. Gift cards, gift cards, and gift certificates (because the tea house I like is a small business and doesn't do those fancy gift cards). Also tea and dinner (though I kind of paid for dinner in fancy cheese).

Someone said fancy cheese, and here I am.

How fancy did we get here? Stilton? Smoked gouda? Port du salut?

I've got, like, 17 different kinds of cheese in the fridge right now. Wanna come over for a sampling?

The 20-30 bucks per pound kind. An aged gouda, award winning cheddar, and soft ripened cheese that was mild and soft enough to use like a spread.

I may or may not be known for my affection (I promise it's not an addiction) for certain stuffed critters -- particularly owls. But I'm very picky and usually only buy them on clearance, so I keep my collection limited.

However, I also try my best to be open-minded, and was thrilled when my family got me a new addition to my flock:

One of my owls was very excited because she says any creature with wings is a cousin.

However, we also looked up what dragons apparently like to eat: goats, livestock, and... BIRDS. (The owls STRONGLY reminded me that they are definitely birds...)

Yikes!

Obviously, my little troop is going to have to make some compromises.

But I'm particularly fond of this little dragon because when I was a kid, my grandparents had a cherry orchard -- and I have a faint memory of my grandma way up high on the cherry shaker, grabbing a cherry tree branch and shaking it like it owed her money! (Technically, it did, because of all the maintenance such a farm requires.)

And so, I'm naming her after my beloved grandma. But I'm going to call her Puff (as in, "Puff the Magic Dragon") as a nickname.

Fortunately, she seems a little too young to be breathing fire...

But, it's a work in progress.

the most scintillating beautiful Christmas wreath i have ever seen. & my wife made it!!! colors of silver & green ( my favorite color is green ), gloriously shining to the eyes! an abundance of care from my wife, gourmet breakfasts & dinners, books on axes & hatchets, a "drum" buttoned dress shirt, a history trivia game & another massive merchandise deal from Jesus.

I forgot the most important part of the story!

The reason this dragon reminded me of my Grandma is because she's wearing a little red bandana -- and my Grandma was wearing a red bandana while she was "making that tree pay up" as well. :)

The atmosphere was lively, with laughter echoing as stories were shared over steaming mugs of cocoa. Even small gestures, like handwritten cards or a favorite treat tucked into a stocking, carried immense joy. It was less about the value of the gifts and more about the care and connection behind them, making this holiday feel truly memorable.

Howdy and welcome to the forum.

I'm non-observant of Christmas, but adamjordan53's comment was the best of all. I'm always happy to hear about joyful gatherings of family and friends.
