So short answer yes you are set in your understanding and any other view is wrong and you won't even consider it could be you. Just trying to see how open to study you may be?

I'm not dead set.
I'm LIVE set in the basic fundamentals of the Christian faith.
Many cults and pseudo Christian pastors have taken a large chunk out of my life to "prove" their heresies. I've had an open mind and I'm done being my righteous soul with their unlawful deeds.
My teacher is the Holy Spirit and He does a fine job of teaching me each day.

It sounds like you wish to persuade others to trust your opinion and to forsake the plain truth of salvation that is repeated 100 times in one gospel alone, IF you are using the real Bible.

Acts 2:38 was addressed not many days prior to that revival when Peter preached.
Jesus Christ Himself said,

1:5For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

It's not a theological debate.
Not many days hence, the people were preached to sternly that Jesus was NOT a criminal. They must REPENT of what? All the sins they ever committed? Promise to obey the law and never ever do them again ?
NO

36Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.

God the Father offered His only Begotten Son Whom they crucified. They must REPENT (meaning change their minds) and believe on Him.
Then they were baptized at that time by the Holy Ghost.
It wasn't their obedience to getting wet. It was Not obedience to keeping the law (modern rendition "turning from sins"). That was what the Pharisees falsely taught the people that made Jesus so angry with them.
The Lord Jesus Christ was to be believed upon . He not only was crucified but he arose from the dead. That same eternal life is that which they received as His gift to them.

I have heard many teaching differing on the answer to this question. Being I am new here I was hoping to get the feel of the board as to how each would answer this, so being I could not find a thread currently on this topic I chose to bring it up so as to get a feel of the boards views.
If there is already a thread dealing with topic please pint me in that direct so I can view or we can start over in this one.

Believe God, Son is risen from the dead, alive to never die ever again, That part is done John 19:30, that is what he came here to earth to do is fulfill Law and Prophets and so he did that as in John 19:30 for us all. He claimed his in Matthew 5:17
Took sin out of the way (not in the world's sight) In Father's sight for us to be new in the risen Son to get given each person that will not quit belief to God in risen Son for them to be new in.love and mercy too. Continue and you will see too! It might take years to grow into maturity, read Heb 5:12- Chapter 6
God seeks those that are willing, not the have to's, should haves, better have's or else attitudes religions preach to people to gain control over their lives.
Pull up Biblegateway, com In the search, put in the word willing and you will get many verses stating God seeks the willing
As Jesus stayed willing to Father all the way to be killed by the religious leaders there then. then they saw Jesus risen and he still did not flog them either
Message Beleive, receive and see
Col 1:21-22, 23 Stand and stand and continue to stand God did it all for me thank you and all of us all 1 John 2:1-27

The 2nd post answered this. Its Gods gift not ours to add to what He said. He said for God so loved the world He gave His only son that who so ever believes in Him shall not die but will have ever lasting life. His burden is light His yoke is easy. He came to give you life .. give it more abundantly.

Does any one else think this is a good summary. If yes please say so if not please say why not. I think with the responses so far this will be a good starting place to discuss the Opening remarks. As for me I am thinking along these line an feel I can produce the scripture to show the reason I lean in this manner.

There is no leaning in any direction when you have the TRUTH.

My summary with Scriptures is this:
  1. There is a/one all-loving and just Lord or Creator God (Deut. 6:4, John 3:16, 2Thes. 1:6), who is both able (2Tim. 1:12) and willing (1Tim. 2:3-4, Ezek. 33:11) to provide all morally accountable human beings salvation or heaven—a wonderful life full of love, joy and peace forever.
  2. Human beings are selfish or sinful (Rom. 3:23, 2Tim. 3:2-4, Col. 3:5), miserable (Gal. 5:19-21), and hopeless (Eph. 2:12) or hell-bound at the judgment (Matt. 23:33 & 25:46) when they reject God’s salvation (John 3:18, Rom. 2:5-11).
  3. Jesus is God’s Messiah/Christ and incarnate Son, the way that God has chosen (John 3:16, Acts 16:30-31, Phil. 2:9-11) of providing salvation by means of his atoning death on the cross for the payment of the penalty for the sins of humanity (Rom. 3:22-25 & 5:9-11), followed by his resurrection to reign in heaven (1Cor. 15:14-28).
  4. Thus, every person who hears the NT Gospel needs to repent and accept God’s grace or justification in Jesus as Christ/Messiah the Lord or Supreme Commander (Luke 2:11, John 14:6, Acts 16:31), at which moment God’s loving Holy Spirit of Christ indwells/baptizes the believer into the church (Rev. 3:20, Rom. 5:5, 1Cor. 12:13).
  5. Loving Christ Jesus as Lord (Luke 2:11), God the Son (Matt. 16:16) or God in the human dimension (Col. 2:9) means reflecting divine love as empowered by the Holy Spirit, thereby obeying His command to love one another (Matt. 7:21, 22:37-40, John 13:35, Rom. 13:9)—forever (Matt. 10:22, Psa. 113:2), which will eventually achieve spiritual maturity on earth and heaven after Christ returns at God’s resurrection (John 14:6, 17&26, Rom. 8:6-17, Gal. 6:7-9, Eph. 1:13-14, Phil. 3:12-16, Heb. 10:36, 12:1, Jam. 1:2-4)

1 Corinthians 2:2
For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified.

1 Corinthians 15:1-4
Now I make known to you, brothers and sisters, the gospel which I preached to you, which you also received, in which you also stand, by which you also are saved, if you hold firmly to the word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain. For I handed down to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.

Romans 10:9
That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

There is no additional information regarding how to be saved.

There was only ever one way and that's Romans 10:9

It seems to me that 90% of the people on this board is faith alone am I corrections seeing that

My question didn't becomes what is the purpose for baptism what is the difference in John's baptism versus Jesus is baptism and which is Jesus is baptism that John said you would baptize with is it the one in his name which according to acts 2:38 gives the endurance Spirit making it a spiritual baptism important is the baptism mention that they say you were baptized with in Romans 6 that says that that is where the new birth became

You need faith

Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Rom 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Faith (trust) is what one has when he sees truth that can be trusted.
Those who are saved eternally are saved (delivered) by the faith (faithfulness) of Jesus Christ (Gal 2:16- KJV), Faith is a fruit of the Spirit (Gal 5:22=23) You must be born again of the Holy Spirit before you can have spiritual faith.

Perfectly stated, ForestGreeenCook. Christ alone is the Savior, not man.

God did it, I believe it, and see to not stop, have not stopped, been shot, stabbed, left for dead and even medically also with Foreigners Gangrene. Died seven times in that Hospital stay per the Doctors, and was told probably will not live past a year, it now has been 13 years.
I, see as Paul saw and has said. Better for me to go home now, yet am here to stay and be led by God for you all also. And to share in care and hear others as well. Bottom line learn to Luke 21:14-15. The same as Jesus did, then Paul who was Saul learned from God to do. Wow Father, thank you, and you are for us all are you not?
God loves us all y'all, otherwise that cross would not have ever taken place, is what I see in Thanksgiving to God above everything else
All having free choice to live or die. As in God all live, as those that are not, will not, just for a short time here on earth. What doe it profit anyone to gain the whole earth and lose their Soul?
I am not and cannot say who will and who will not, I trust God whatever GHod's judgment be when the end happens, whenever that day happens God is good all the time as good is God all the rime

One must take the whole counsel of God into consideration, the entirety of God’s word is true, but that also requires rightly dividing the word of truth. Are we under the Old Covenant, the Old Covenant’s law, or the New Covenant? Some questions that will help you is are we before the cross or after? We are after. So, that puts us under the New Covenant. To be saved, we are to be saved by the authority of Jesus under His New Covenant. Obviously, we must believe. But what does believe look like? Is it just a mental assent? Is it just belief and no change of life, without repentance? Is it belief without confessing your faith in Jesus? Is it belief without responding to the gospel call of being baptized for the remission of sins? Is it belief without following Jesus after you are saved?

Belief is being a doer of the word. Not a hearer only. To believe in Jesus be saved is to not only believe He is the Son of God, but to believe He died, was buried and resurrected, as well as repenting and being baptized for the remission of their sins. Obviously, a lost person who is desiring salvation, as well as a Christian who is following Jesus is going to confess their faith He’s Lord, as well. One must then follow Jesus and never abandon Him. All of this is found in the New Testament. Please see Acts 2:38-47, 8:36-38, 16:33-34, 10:47-48, 1 Peter 3:21; Gal. 3:26-27; John 10:27, Mt. 7:21, Heb. 5:9, 9:16-17; James 1:22.

After one is saved, we are to abide in Him, or we will be cast out (John 15:6). So, to remain saved, we are to continue to follow Him. And thankfully, His grace teaches us to do just that and to deny sin (Titus 2:11-12; cf. Rom. 6:1). Doesn’t mean we will be sinlessly perfect as some believe, but it means we will not be devoted to having a lifestyle of sin, justify or make excuses for sin. It means we submit our lives to the Lord, by walking in the light (1 Jn. 1:7), not in darkness (1 Jn. 1:6).

To remain saved in risen Son, one anyone in belief continues to follow Father and Son as Won for them in love and mercy given them, to all. There, is no more trying to do what is done through Son from Father giving this to anyone that Dad knows believes, sincerely. Yet, There is a walk to learn from mistakes made, not counted as sin anymore from Father's view, since Jesus took away sin John 1:29, and God sees us as perfect through Son Col 1:21-22. And then one, anyone that believes God, begins to see truth and grow up into maturity, not giving up, even through any and all troubles anyone experiences here on earth, it is done John 19:30, for us to be thankful and ask for the new life, where new life begins is in the risen Life of Jesus for us to be new With Father leading us in Holy Spirit and Truth, the same as he Led Jesus all the way though his walk here on earth first to reconcile us all to himself to agree and trust God to save them 2 Cor 5:17-22. God corrects, people condemn, Romans 8:1 God does not condemn people! Thanks to the done work of Son first and all that looked forward to whatever was to happen to free them, not understanding or knowing how, until Son seen as risen, the disciples have reported this to stand in thankfulness and trust Father to lead Phil 1:6 that no one knew how, just stood in trust Hebrews 11. Even the disciples knew not how, until Acts 1:1-5 and then Pentecost. Wow!! Woe is me Isaiah 6:1-7
Believe, recieve and see new from Father giving this to anyone in belief sincerely. Romans 8:15-16 those that do not care to spend the new on their own pleasures
James speaks of this you ask and do not get, why? Because you wish to sped it on your own pleasures.
So be sincere to know this love and mercy f God, receive it and give it. So much deeper that money, physical lust and wanting to be in charge over others
God's love is not of this worlds love at all God's love 1 Cor 13:4-7,13 Thanks, standing in trust to God to reveal as each needs to see and be humble over it and not guilty anymore either
