Yes but men love darkness rather than light and the darkness cannot comprehend the light.

And yet two verses later we see men coming to the light. Looks like it is only those who love practicing (continually) evil who don't come to the light.

You must have been a wicked person to be around growing up. Bully at school were you? Constantly harassing your teachers? Never had any love whatsoever for the truth?

Amazing what you are willing to ignore to keep men in chains.

It's God who breaks the chains Psalms 116:16 free from spiritual chains making people believe 🙂, of course you don't have to, but then God would know your struggling to believe.

Acts 12:7-7 signaling the angel appeared and told Peter to rise and the angel miraculously made the chains fall of, then led him out of the prison.

The moral of the story is prayer can be powerful, and bring deliverance from chains by God who makes his angels do his work, who the makes a person believe more so

And the other moral is you can be made to believe this 🙂

I corrected it to help make you believe 😋

I want honesty and not duplicity. When we first got on this track you said NOTHING about what imprisons a soul. You also said NOTHING about any sinner being freed FROM sin and death! You spoke only about being free TO. You FWers virtually ignore the fact that Freedom runs on two tracks -- not just one!

But now with this latest revelation from you, does Sin and Death render man spiritually powerless and in dire need of divine rescuing?

P.S. Does God set free all mankind in the distributive sense to offer all the opportunity to be saved?

Rufus, we have been discussing free will for the last how many thousands of posts? I have stated clearly from the beginning grace suppresses the sin nature (which is in the body), which frees the will (which is an aspect of the soul) so that a man can decide for themself as to whether they will believe the truth presented or not believe. Christ meets us with grace and truth and does so from the moment we can begin to think, so from a very young age. I have stated clearly man is not able to do anything apart from grace. I have stated grace is God's power to see His will done in this world and that everything begins with grace.

I have gone into great detail how the soul is not created evil but how it becomes evil if the grace and truth which Christ gives us is rejected and how, if there were never grace and truth forthcoming, we all would end up evil and without hope.

The reason you have not heard any of this is because you dismiss what I say as error and give no consideration whatsoever that maybe, just maybe I might actually know what I'm talking about and you might, just might be wrong.

I have no idea what "two tracks" you think freedom runs on. Freedom is freedom, not a train, it exists or it doesn't.

I know, It has been stated many, many, many, many, many, many times. No grace? No hope.
Didn't you just say people take no consideration ?

Well ok can Gods grace make somebody else believe then ?

Or should we only take your testimony into consideration ?

Which is you came to believe by yourself reading the word

He does a lot of Google searches....
Really oh I suppose you never, my posts come from insight and understanding, from people of sound mind, this is something else that God can also make somebody have.

But for you, your to difficult to please, coz when I don't quote scripture but still cite scripture you then claim I'm not, making up your usual stories,

I've Got some nice news for you, for your closed mind, my wife whom also believes in God through devine intervention, bought me a shiny new bible today 🙂

But your so good at making awkward arguments, that no doubt you'll make one out of this

Hebrews 2:1-3 "We must pay closer attention, therefore, to what we have heard...For...how shall we escape if we neglect such great salvation. This salvation was first announced by the Lord..."
A synonym for neglect which is applicable here is disregard.

For those who deny free will, they sure do spend an awful lot of time saying it doesn’t exist.

you need to pay attention, Free will for man has a law of it's own, lives in the flesh, is born from a sin nature, Disobeys Gods word, and has nature that needs rescuing, unable to rescues itself. And in bondage. Makes crazy choices makes things up, follows man, worships the devil, sells it's seif to sin, Commits evil .

And Incapable of obeying God without his assistance,
