Suggestion: ask the Word of God!, not men.

Acts 2

37 Now when they heard [this], they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men [and] brethren, what shall we do?

38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. spirit

but First:

John 6: 43 Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, Murmur not among yourselves.

44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

being called to follow Jesus Christ in not up to men,, the Father chose those He sends to Christ.

all these folks that say all that is necessary is uttering some words, have no clue of the Word of God.
Ask the word of God not man is a great answer and hope will be the bases of all answers given yes that is what we seek after.

Will be interested in following up on the remainder of your post soon.

Further suggestion: Test what men say is the Word of God and believe what seems to be the best/truest interpretation (1Thes. 5:21).
This is a great answer and very true and hoe we all do this when engaged in debate.

study & learn Romans 10:9- "that if thou shall confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus & shall believe in thine heart that God has raised Him from the dead, thou shall be saved". Romans 10:13 is similar. but there's more. 1 must believe in God, Jesus & the Holy Spirit as a born again Christian. study John 3:5- "verily, verily, i say unto thee, except a man be born of the water & of the Spirit, he can NOT ENTER the kingdom of heaven". born again means you are reborn of the way Jesus thinks, speaks & acts. not as the world which is "me 1st", money, sex, materialism, quantity, excess, selfishness, etc. study Romans 12:2- "and be not conformed to this world but be ye TRANSFORMED by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good & acceptable & perfect will of God".
Not quite ready to get into debate just yet but this is an interesting thought will have to did a little deeper into this son.

Get the "biblehub" search engine on line, it has many translations, Strong's concurrence..

All translations are translated according to the beliefs of the translators, if they believe heaven is the reward , their translation will lean in that direction.
I prefer Studylight.org but thank you for the reference.

Unfortunately, some are not open to learning something that contradicts their bias,
so you will find they engage in verbal ping-pong rather than do dialectical and systematic discussions.

When ALL pertinent scripture on the subject is considered, and not cherry picked which causes scripture to conflict with scripture, you end up with the following requirements
1. Belief and faith
2. Confession of belief
3. Repentance
4. Immersion in water, baptism into Christ

Does any one else think this is a good summary. If yes please say so if not please say why not. I think with the responses so far this will be a good starting place to discuss the Opening remarks. As for me I am thinking along these line an feel I can produce the scripture to show the reason I lean in this manner.

If you keep willfully and deliberately practicing evil, by harming your neighbor to your last breath, the summary is useless.

Welcome to CC. I sponsor a thread called "The Kerygma-God's Requirement for Salvation" that is about this very topic, so please read it from the beginning and post me there when you have comments or questions. Look forward to discussing this with you. :)
Making it all about you again.

I have heard many teaching differing on the answer to this question. Being I am new here I was hoping to get the feel of the board as to how each would answer this, so being I could not find a thread currently on this topic I chose to bring it up so as to get a feel of the boards views.
If there is already a thread dealing with topic please pint me in that direct so I can view or we can start over in this one.

Good question.

Here's the answer friend.

I am sorry i am afraid I don't understand your response can you pleases elaborate with scriptural support.

If you don't understand my response you shouldn't even be up here commenting on this subject.
I am sorry I really did not intend to hit a nerve so I will avoid responding to your post it does not seem Christ like and I don't want to make hurt feelings. Please forgive my not understanding.

Water baptism and repentance were requirements for salvation for Israel with their kingdom gospel. Paul speaks of a grace gospel for gentiles that has only one baptism (immersion) that of the believer into the body of Christ by the Holy Spirit.

Gal 2:7 But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as the gospel of the circumcision was unto Peter;

1Co 1:17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.
