ok I will pose two questions

1st) when David went and asked and received the show bread from the priests and also took the sword of Goliath when he was fleeing from king Saul, how did King Saul respond when he heard the news?

I think i might have failed top post this reply.. If i have already please ignore this one::

King Saul had the Priest Ahimelech slain along with all the priests in the city of Nob..

(1 Samuel 22:17-19) "¶ And the king said unto the footmen that stood about him, Turn, and slay the priests of the LORD; because their hand also is with David, and because they knew when he fled, and did not shew it to me. But the servants of the king would not put forth their hand to fall upon the priests of the LORD. {18} And the king said to Doeg, Turn thou, and fall upon the priests. And Doeg the Edomite turned, and he fell upon the priests, and slew on that day fourscore and five persons that did wear a linen ephod. {19} And Nob, the city of the priests, smote he with the edge of the sword, both men and women, children and sucklings, and oxen, and asses, and sheep, with the edge of the sword."

Ok here is a new question::

Gideon was tasked by God to attack the Midianites, but the LORD wanted to lower the numbers of the Hebrew warriors that would attack the Midianites so as to make sure the credit of the victory would go to The LORD and not to Gideon and his troops.. The LORD set a test at the well of Harod.. And after this test 300 troops where selected to battle the Midianites with Gideon..

What did the 300 selected warriors do at the well of Harod that caused them to be selected?

Hi everyone! Welcome to Bible Trivia! :)

Feel free to post a Bible Trivia question and we'll see if we know the answer!

I do hope we do NOT argue over the answers.... LOL! Everybody, play nice!

Let the game begin! :)
Based on the New Testament updates from older textual sources, how many verses have the recent translations removed from the bible or footnoted as older textual versions eliminate this verse(s)

yes

very serious reaction Saul had as he said supporting his enemies to which the priest replied something like David your (Saul) son in law to the king, implying in the innocent of his heart he helped David..

The LORD set a test at the well of Harod.. And after this test 300 troops where selected to battle the Midianites with Gideon..

What did the 300 selected warriors do at the well of Harod that caused them to be selected?

from memory

I have always had to think about this one, as I have often gotten confused, perhaps I should have read a different version besides the King James

the text says that all that laid on their belly and drank I believe these were told to return home, & the ones that kneeled down and brought the water to their mouth and drank he kept 300.

I have heard it said these were more prepared for battle as they went upon one knee and still able to look around for danger.

yet as I said, I sometimes get this confused G-D might of kept the the ones that laid on their bellies and drank, unprepared for battle, this may have been the 300

As The Battle was the LORDS, as we read further in the text, That G-D had put the Fear of Gideon in the camp, G-D has them destroy each other, as Gideon and the 300 surround the camp at night. From up on a hill as I remember, with lanterns and they declare something like the Sword of THE LORD & Gideon.

Yes those who used their hands to lift up the water and drank from their hands where selected.. Those who bowed down to the water, putting their mouths down into the water where rejected..

But remember aChristian2 you're supposed to quote the scriptures in your reply.. :unsure:

To those who are keen to get the accolades the scripture is in the Book of Judges,, good fortune peoples,

very well, quote scripture,

I was thinking that if I go from memory, then the poster of the question can say right or wrong, once I look up the scripture pretty hard to get it wrong...

yet I will play by your rules

Well it is not my personal rule.. I think it is the rule because they want other people to be able to go into their Bibles and read the accounts.. It is to encourage people to read the Bible.. Of course people who have read the Bible and have been blessed by God to have great memories can simply answer the question without opening a Bible.. But people like that are sadly a very small minority within the Christian community..

Hello @biblestudent78

I'm sorry, your question cannot be answered with a Bible verse(s). This thread is not a Bible debate or historical records of the Bible.

Instead, it is just simply.... ask a Bible Trivia question that can be answered with a Bible Verse(s). Then, after the question has been answered with a Bible verse(s), we get to share any insight, interpretations or thoughts about it.

I recommend you check out Wes Huff on YouTube regarding historical records of the Bible.

What is the name of the island that John was exiled to when he wrote the Book of Revelation?

Correct! Great job, @SomeDisciple ! :love:(y)

Be sure to give the Bible verse(s) with your answer in case someone wants to read about it…

Revelation 1:9

I, John, both your brother and companion in the tribulation and kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was on the island that is called Patmos for the word of God and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Here’s a map showing the location of Patmos:

There’s a cave on the island that many believe is where John lived while on the island. It’s a tourist attraction now.

Interesting, huh?! :unsure::love:(y)

What objects were in the Ark of the Covenant during the first temple period?

Great question! 😍👍

The 3 things that were inside the Ark of the Covenant are:

1 - Aaron’s almond branch rod that budded;
2 - Gold jar of manna; and
3 - Stone Tablets of 10 Commandments.

Hebrews 9:4

Which had the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron's rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant;
