Perhaps you should stop worrying about volition and instead praise God that His Grace is Irresistible. . . .

Grace itself is irresistible, in the sense, when it is applied while God is neutralizing a man's flesh as to reason with his soul.
The flesh has no say when it is put in a straight jacket. That restraint is irresistible!

But that does not make someone to believe.

Grace only places a soul in a position to freely choose to believe.
God offers the Word of God. (potential for faith)

If that Word is accepted?
It then becomes the person's faith's beginning.

So then, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the Word about Christ.

Romans 10:17

Faith is believing what the Word tells us, about what we can not see.

God's offering was sufficient to cover the transgression of both Adam and Eve ... both Adam and Eve were clothed with coats of skins to cover the shame of their sin.

Genesis 3:21 Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.

.

Nice to know that you're a firm believer in an efficacious atonement. That's puts you into the Reformed Theology camp under the New Covenant. That's the good news. The bad news, though, is there is not a shred of evidence that Adam repented and trusted God afterward, as there is for Eve.

You don't even believe God is required in the process of coming to believe.

I believe you can not hear what is actually said.

And create diversions away from what was said with your inept perception, taking others away from what is needed to be understood.
You are as tool used to shut down presenting Truth needed for salvation.

That is the whole point of the Bible narrative to tell people to receive salvation willingly.

I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance.
Luke 15:7

Why would there be joy over one sinner who repents if God's grace is irresistible.

Another "system" epic fail.
That's not the biblical narrative.

Says....Rufus.

Adam was created sinless.
By default, he was capable.
He simply chose not to be.

Angels are more spiritual than any man is.
Yet? Even they have failed as well.

Job 4:17-19
‘Can a mortal be more righteous than God?
Can even a strong man be more pure than his Maker?
If God places no trust in his servants,
if he charges his angels with error,
how much more those who live in houses of clay,
whose foundations are in the dust,
who are crushed more readily than a moth!

.....

Yup, he was also capable of closing his spiritual ears just as Israel did.

Adam had no sin nature!
Israel was a nation of fallen people.
Adam had a much easier job of being able to accept the truth and reject the lie.

You keep flunking the test!

Nice to know, you think it was nice to know.

You mean you don't believe that God's atonement in the Garden was efficacious, whereas under the New Covenant such a belief would earn many Christians the dubious title "heretics"!?

As usual, my point fell onto deaf ears. Adam's "capability" was a TWO-WAY street! He had the capability to listen to God and obey, and the capability to close his ears and disobey.

I am not going to ask you how you misunderstood what was said, to throw that out, as to make you appear to be knowing something.

You are 90% facade and image.

You need a good teacher to fill you with what is substantial to be having integrity.
Life is not a written test to repeat the dogma one seeks.
Truth gives you living words to reveal life to those wanting it.

Thanks for explaining how that is so. So informative!

Now, would you mind getting out of the way, so others can use the escalator?

You are an obstructionist.
God created the world so that the knowledge of the glory of the Lord would fill the earth; notwithstanding your mancentric view. God always acts that He might be glorified. Surprised you didn't know this.

He may have been capable but we are not. That is something which was lost in the fall!
Pelagian heretic's don't believe that...

In fact they think of themselves as such goodie 2 shoes that they refuse to acknowledge that they were ever even a child of wrath, which is why they make fun of the idea. That while they are lying their face off, misrepresenting themselves, the Scriptures, and others.
