Genesis 11
1And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech.
2And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there.
3And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them throughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for morter.
4And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top
may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.
I find that the name Shinar would make sense as it conveys what they had just come out of a violent flood. A new or young town and also a place of wit as they thought they were smarter than God and going to build a tower.
The US is more than a land between two rivers. Being from Colorado we have 4 rivers that start as melting snow from our mountains. The Colorado which flows to the Pacific. The Rio Grande which flows to the Gulf of America. The Arkansas which flows to the Mississippi. As well as the South Plate.
The US never could have become the nation we are without our water system, great lakes, rivers, bays, inlets and the such. The Mississippi water basin and the fact that a good number of rivers flow to it and that they are navigable made us a nation of commerce. Canals that we built and the harbors. We hit the jackpot for a perfectly placed area with a infrastructure of early highways which navigable waterways were and are.
While I agree that at present the US would fit as a Babylon the great it is not based on because of two rivers as that is not what Shinar means.
I find we would be the best candidate as we are a nation of merchants. God has always been consistent in that it was always the super power of the day he brought down be it Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Persia, Greece, or Rome. Another consistent of that is that those nations had the highest concentrated number of Jews living in their land or under their rule. As that is just what God did is in Genesis 11 he introduced the worlds system with Satan as the god of. Then in Genesis 12 he introduced his plan to bring it to it's periodic end as well as it's final end. He called Abraham and founded the nation that would become Israel.
Reason God has done so is spiritual warfare for one. Those nations he defeated them and their gods. The US has the old gods yet as we have Moloch or Baal Hamon worship going on daily as we sacrifice the unborn. As well as we have the new gods we peddle to the whole world through our economic system and intellectual property or our culture.
As well as I believe it was Adams or perhaps Franklin who said that the American revolution was as much about economics as it was freedom. Reason being is we hear of the Stamp Act and Tea Act. However, what is not commonly taught was the passage of the Currency Act of 1764 which declared economic war on the colonies and made us totally reliant upon England for liquidity.
We also read that the final kingdom and it's ruler will require a mark that without no one can buy or sell. The US is at current such as we are the worlds reserve currency and no one can buy or sell unless they use the dollar. While it is not complete and total as the mark will be we are already in operation of such a system.
So will the US be the final kingdom I have no clue but would say that we are at least a type or shadow of what is to come as we are already fulfilling what is said to a lesser extent with the final kingdom to complete it fully.
