From the top scholars and theologians using the Hebrew language in perfect tense:

The use of Elohim may be a linguistic device to show God's majesty and greatness, similar to how a king might refer to himself in the plural.

His humanity is God's means to interpret God for mankind, in human terms, so that we can have a perfect concept of who and what God is.

No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship
with the Father, has made him known. [He has revealed Him and brought Him out where He can be seen;
He has interpreted Him and He has made Him known].
John 1:18
Without the manifested flesh, if we were to meet the WORD in His perfect Spirit form we would die immediately.

Looks like...

Someone had to come up with a rationalization to try to explain why God appears as a plurality without getting a headache.

God is everywhere at once.
He may make it sound as if He is in several places at once.
But, God is always being everywhere at once.

God is always in the past, present, and future.
Very True!

But God was showing Moses that even though He is with Moses teaching him what happened there was more of God in other places doing the work of God.

Or it looks like how much of the king James Bible is written in the 3rd person format.

Be like instead of me saying I did this I say it in 3rd person format that lrs68 did it.

But,” he said, “you cannot see my face, for no one may see me and live.” Exodus 33:20
We have seen him when we believed!

Jesus answered: “Don’t you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time?
Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? John 14:9

When you believe in Jesus Christ, you will die immediately when you do.
For, to see Jesus, is to see the Father!

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.
The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me
and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20

Interesting statement if you have seen Me you have seen the Father.

This is the answer Jesus gave after Philip asked shows us the Father. Jesus basically said you have been seeing the Father this entire time because you have seen me.

Jesus by means of his humanity is Exegeting God to men, because God can not be naturally seen/perceived by men. John 1:18!

Yes, like the God that cannot be seen in person extended Himself into flesh to be able to be with people.

OK. Thanks for your honesty.

Probably not a bannable offense but DEFINITELY a longstanding heretical position in MOST Churches.

You have not addressed Jesus's Baptism question.

ALL 3 Members of the Trinity were present, AND separate at that event.

How do you explain that?

Yep.
The French King Louis XIV famously said "L'état, c'est moi", "I am the state".

We've heard of the accusation of those 'playing God' so, if the state of being 'as God' has to do with the full spectrum of influence on existence ("I Am"), then it becomes easier to see how each of the Trinity qualify 'as God.'

John 8:58

Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. KJV

Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am.” NASB

“Very truly I tell you,” Jesus answered, “before Abraham was born, I am!” NIV

ALL 3 Members of the Trinity were present, AND separate at that event.

How do you explain that?

No need to explain God Almighty, as if you could.

Why not just accept what He says in His Word on this topic?

1 John 5:7
For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are One.

Remembering that ALL things are possible with God!

Matthew 19:26
with God all things are possible

People need to accept and believe what the Lord says in His Word.

Those trying to figure God out using the peanut brain open themselves up to lies of the devil because the devil is certainly going to deliver some false doctrine to those trying to figure out God apart from what He says of Himself in His Word.

These arguments about the trinity are much to do about nothing.

The Lord has already told us all we need to know about this in His Word which is the end of the discussion.

Anything beyond what the Lord says in His Word is speculation out of darkness courtesy of the devil who is always happy to help people depart from God's Word to lead them in to deception.

Yeah, there's something about "Oneness" that eludes our minds.

Speaking for yourself and your buddies referred to as "Our"

Ever-existing Persons.

No, there are not 3 different Gods.

God is ONE Person made up of Father, Word, Spirit.

He made man to be ONE person who is spirit, soul, and body when He created man in His Image.

Do you go around telling people you are 3 different persons?

If you do, that'll earn you a one way ticket to the nut hut!

Why is God a Trinity?

Because the Lord said so in His Word.

Is what He says good enough or not?

I have read 1 John 5; 7 was added by Rome, who began this trinity doctrine, and so many other lies.

The web states it was not in any Greek bibles before the 1600's

I hope this thread becomes a discussion about the Trinity. These are just some of my observations followed by questions.

1. The Father, The Son, and the Holy Spirit are God.
Question: Is this the core belief of the Trinity? Something else? Assuming it is not appropriate to call them "Gods" is there one title that actually fits the Father, the Son, and the Spirit?

2. Jesus did not consider equality with God something to be grasped (Philippians 2:6).
Question: How best can we describe the Trinity without using the word "equal"?

That's all for now. Thank you.

Why then does the apostle Paul never include this ghost or the Holy Spirit in beginning greeting in all his letters?
Why does Christ not include this ghost or the Spirit in the ONE, He and the Father are ONE.
and John does not include the spirit as well.

there are no scriptures that clearly states God is three personalities or entities. no trinity, Just the Father and the son

Why is God a Trinity?

Here is one reason why...

No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God
and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known. John 1:18

If God were not a Trinity?
We would be oblivious to Him.
No one can perceive Him outside of human terms which we relate to.
And, God is not human.

Jesus is uniquely both fully man, and fully God.
He alone has full access to knowing God as much as a man can know God.

And, with that knowledge, take what is known to Him, and interpret what we can not know,
and present it to us in a manner that we can know God.

No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God
and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known. John 1:18
