One thing you would remember is if JESUS filled you with HIS SPIRIT.
Acts 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
They were told to wait, don't go out with out it.

I'm going to have to trust you, I can't remember.
I do know for a fact there is no error in being baptized in JESUS name.
That is the ONLY way for our sins to be remitted.
If there was another way it would be in HIS word.
I'm open if I said anything wrong.

1) Yes. How? Peter explains it in 1 Peter 3:21. By/through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, as if Jesus did not resurrect after death, we’d not have a way to get our sins forgiven, as our faith would be futile (1 Cor. 15:17. It’s not act of baptism in and of itself that saves (as in baptism alone) and it’s not the water that saves, as it’s not a bath as if you are washing the filth off the flesh. It’s an appeal in faith to have your sins washed away by the blood of Christ (Acts 2:38, 22:16; cf. Col. 2:13: Gal. 3:26-27). Baptism into Christ is through faith in the operation/work of God who raised Jesus from the dead (Col. 2:12). When we are baptized into Christ, we are having faith that God had the power to raise Jesus (Rom. 1:4; Col. 2:12), and are appealing to be saved by the benefits of Jesus’ His sacrifice, that by His blood, He forgives our sins (Acts 2:38; Mt. 26:28). His sinless life, death on the cross and resurrection gives people the hope and promise of being made free from death by not dying in their sins. Baptism into Christ is also an appeal to be saved by Jesus’ resurrection and His sacrifice.
2. No. Speaking in tongues were a sign for unbelievers (1 Cor. 14:22). If the act of speaking in tongues saved, then the Gentiles would have been saved, but Peter commanded baptism (Acts 10:47-48) for the remission of sins (Acts 2:38). Any view that has someone believing they have the remission of sins before repentance and baptism is an incorrect understanding.

If memory serves me you said that to me because i would not answer your question about my baptism and I believed that baptism based on what Jesus said in Matthew was just as valid as in Acts.
