I don't think you have to worry about any enemies if you don't say anything.

Like me, people don't like me for sharing HIS word, people don't like being told the only way to get rid of there sins is to get baptized in JESUS name.

I'm not liked by many, but I'm not here to please people but to share HIS word, JESUS wasn't liked much either.
Wrong. If sime people dont like you its your interpretation of the word, not the word itself.

First we have to get rid of our sins,
You keep mentioning this as if it is a act on our part. But it seem to me that it is an act of Christ, who takes our sin upon Himself.
We must trust and believe that He has done this for us. And, that trust is provided when the Spirit draws us to Christ.

Yeah Billy, dealing 🙄 with the unclean can be astonishing.

I agree with 1 John as I do with all of HIS word.

First we have to get rid of our sins,

Acts 2:38-39
King James Version
38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

AFTER we have been reborn, need JESUS to fill us with the Holy Ghost also like HE did HIS disciples in Acts 2:4.

THEN 1 John comes into play, after we have been reborn all we need to do is to REPENT and confess them to JESUS and HE will forgive us.

Just a little clarification might be needed.

We can not get rid of our sins.
We can get rid of the consequences for when we sin.
There is a difference.

In Acts 2:36-39, Peter was preaching to Jews.
Jews who had been accustomed to needing to go to the Temple to offer animal sacrifices for their sins.
It had been the way of life to them.
Peter was not preaching to gentiles, who did not use the Temple sacrifices for their sins.

Note...
Peter was addressing Israelites.
Not gentiles.

Acts 2:36-39

“Therefore, let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified,
both Lord and Messiah.”
When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles,
“Brothers, what shall we do?”
Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness
of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise is for you and your children and
for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call.”

Peter was telling the Jews that they no longer needed to go to the Temple to take care of their sin problem.
That the new way, in Christ, would be the means to find forgiveness for their sins.

It was an introduction to the new spiritual way of life we are to walk in.

Grace and peace ...

I think you have need to better understand how you are wording things wrongly.
Your intentions may be correct.
But, you are wording some things in a way that are very misleading.

For example...
We can not get rid of our sins.

For we will remain being able to sin until our soul leaves our fallen bodies.
But?
We can get rid of the bad consequences that sinning can cause us, by using 1 John 1:9.

1 John 1:9 is God's means to get us back into the filling of the Holy Spirit, who is to guide us in our spiritual walk with God.

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive
us our sins, and purify us from all unrighteousness."

1 John 1:9

Many were first learning at that time of writing?

That there is no more need for animal sacrifices for sins!

Now we just name your sins to God, and the blood of Jesus purifies us!
Purifies us
by acknowledging and recognizing our sins.

Sins short circuit our spiritual life!
Just confess it privately to God? DONE! Purified!

Confessing sin simply resets our tripped circuit breaker to the filling of the Holy Spirit!

But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth.

John 16:13a

That is what we all need to grow spiritually in the grace and knowledge of God's Word!
The guidance of the Holy Spirit!

.

Notice that John was talking to Israel given that he was not the apostle to the Gentiles. The advocacy we of Israel had at that time, and will have once again in the future in the tribulation, that is indeed truth for those of those times when that truth was relevant. We today, because of grace, don't need advocacy, otherwise it is not of grace, but advocacy.

In other words, if a court of law were demanding I be charged for an alleged crime, then I would need an advocate, but because we're under grace, that's like granted immunity in a court of law, and thus I would be outside the jurisdiction of that court and any charges. The accuser of the saints only accuses those who must endure unto the end (Matt. 24) so that they SHALL be saved (future tense), not already saved to the uttermost. That would be a waste of the enemy's time and effort.

LOL, that could be true if I did, BUT I DON'T DO ANY INTERPRETING!!!

Just HIS word, I'm not the one who died for you I let JESUS do the talking.

Satan's plan, keep them out of the water, if they get in the water keep JESUS name out of it.

Yep, I sure do and sure will.

Did you know that the only way to get rid of our sins is for US to be baptized in JESUS name. Acts 2:38-41 they believed and the ACTED on their belief.

Can a once truly saved believer backslide too much and lose the gift of salvation? If so do they need to repent and ask for forgiveness through Christ again? Thoughts are welcome and scripture too!

Yes, if a saved person turns away from the Lord they reap corruption

And anytime a Christian sins, they are reaping corruption and they would need to confess their sin to the Lord and forsake their sin in order for the Lord to have mercy upon them once again - God is NOT mocked, what we sow is what we reap, if we sow to the flesh (sin) we shall of the flesh reap corruption (Gal 6:7,8)

Proverbs 28:13
He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.

1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Hebrews 10:28-31
He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

The false teachers here and else where will tell you it's all good if we sin and thery'll claim even if a Christian lives in sin they are still saved which is why they all still live in sin because they are false teachers and are the tares Jesus warned us about.

Yes. If not, then much of scripture needs to be explained away, imo

Which is exactly what the false grace teachers will do is tell you why these passages don't mean what they say which they gto from their father the old devil.

This is my interpertion

We need to get bapitzed in JESUS name to get rid of our sins, and we shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

What is the gift of the Holy Ghost you ask?

Acts 2:4
King James Version
4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Did I do good?

Yep, I sure do and sure will.

Did you know that the only way to get rid of our sins is for US to be baptized in JESUS name. Acts 2:38-41 they believed and the ACTED on their belief.

Baptism was an Old Testament ritual (John the Baptist was a Jew) that got carried over into the early church age.
The ritual continued until some finally were shown that the Church age has replaced water baptism with Spirit baptism.

Peter was very Jewish. He kept kosher all his life and was careful to follow the Law.
After the Baptism of the Holy Spirit was sprung upon them?
Peter kept thinking like a Jew would for quite some time.
He still commanded water baptism, as he had performed while as a disciple of Jesus before the Cross took place

Peter had to unlearn about water baptism and concerning the mandatory eating kosher.

For Peter, it was like someone who had always driven with a stick, is given a car with an automatic transmission.
Peter kept going for the clutch as he always had done, but it was no longer there!

Here is where Peter was told by God to stop eating only kosher foods.

Acts 10:11-15
He saw heaven opened and something like a large sheet being let down to earth by
its four corners. It contained all kinds of four-footed animals, as well as reptiles and birds.
Then a voice told him, “Get up, Peter. Kill and eat.”
“Surely not, Lord!” Peter replied. “I have never eaten anything impure or unclean.”
The voice spoke to him a second time, “Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.”

Peter was at first highly resistant to eating what he was always taught as a Jew was religtiously "unclean."
The same kind of revolutionary change took place concerning water baptism.
To be replaced by the baptism of the Spirit.

The church age was a revolutionary change and new learning curve for the Jewish apostles.
Gentiles today reading the Bible simply want to do what it says without realizing the mistakes they made.
Mistakes that needed to be corrected as the apostle learned more and more about the New Way in Christ.

grace and peace ...........

So Jesus lied when He said those that believed and are baptized shall be saved?

We should be both spirit baptized and water baptized

If we can't get rid of our sins, we ARE HELL BOUND.

You are right about Peter speaking to the Jews, BUT did you notice

Acts 2:38-39
38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

Now what about this?

Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

What do you think of those in Acts 8, 10 and 19 ALL GETTING THE SAME MESSAGE??

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN??

"That the new way, in Christ, would be the means to find forgiveness for their sins."

When did I say we can not get rid of our sins???

How do you know you have the Holy Ghost??

Acts 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

I bet those 120 people were suprized to see what happened when they got it?

1 John 1 is refering to after we are reborn, then all we have to do is repent and confess them.

Tell me what does this veres say and mean?

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

It could be that the thief was never baptized. He certainly did not repent, although he did admit his guilt and confessed that he deserved what was coming. He only said Lord [remember me. . . . and acknowledged Christ as God].

I wonder if the thief was baptized. Guess we'll never know because Scripture doesn't say!

Nope, I bet not. Why do you ask?

I was going to leave it at that, but just couldn't lol.

Please be humble, I'm just in the seed business.

We need to righty divide the word.

When the thief on the cross died, he died OT laws. Where people had to take a sacrifice to the high priests ones a year to have their sins forgiven GOD RULES.

JESUS is our high priest and he became our sacrifice our lamb.
When JESUS was on this earth and forgave sins as he wished like the thief.

JESUS preach app 3 years, died on the cross, buried and rose again. Then he ascended to Heaven to put his blood on the mercy seat.

Hebrews 9:12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

He then returned to earth and was here app 40 days and ascended again commanding his disciples to wait because they will be filled with the Holy Ghost. Acts 2:3-4

He ascended the second time and this was the first message of how to be reborn.

Since then until he returns again, we live in NT laws and how to be saved we need to repent, get baptized in JESUS name to get rid of our sins and receive the Holy Ghost like JESUS gave his disciples in Acts 2:4.
