funny How you don't like this comment.Huh?
But you will only find fault in me for texting to similar comments made in the same way.
Which is the person your winking at defending is on a mission to have me seen as a Calvinist
funny How you don't like this comment.Huh?
Once again, with coherence?I've never said you was.
That's your assumption again
No. This is real life with eternal consequences. When scripture doesn't suffice, many employ an emotional and hypothetical appeal.
What makes you think I "don't like this comment"? Did I post a "dislike" icon on it? No.funny How you don't like this comment.
The word is "you're", and is that a question or a statement?Which is the person your winking at defending is on a mission to have me seen as a Calvinist
I know that ... I was asking about the quote you submitted.Building a new wing on a hospital does not, in and of itself make you a Christian!
No. Thanks to man's disobedience, we have lost the ability to please God.
Now “every imagination of the thoughts of his heart are only evil” (Gen 6:5).
The Bible clearly and consistently teaches (1) man is free to do good or evil, that he is at liberty to do either, but (2) that he is able to do only evil because of his fallen condition.
** G I Williamson **
again this is your assumption the only thing I'm commenting on is Gods will.Where you post only quotations from Scripture, then it's God's word. If you add commentary, the commentary is not God's word. Still, ignoring your posts, even if they contain only Scripture, is not "ignoring God's word" because you are not the only conduit for God's word.
GOD definitely created man with Free Will; there's no doubt about it.
yep ok so huh means you like something. Good for you. What makes you think I "don't like this comment"? Did I post a "dislike" icon on it? No.
The word is "you're", and is that a question or a statement?
and we just don't love How you keep accusing Christians of not being Christian and enticing them into your drama
no it's not an assumption. That is all your assumption.
Christians can be all over the spectrum of doing right, and doing wrong.
What makes one a Christian is that in a point in time he believed in Jesus Christ.
And likewise, I never said doing good earns salvation. The problem is that you assume Gen. 6:5 teaches we are born like that, but that’s an assertion, not a fact. Perhaps you should remove your Calvinist glasses (but I guess that’s only up to God if you do according to Calvinism). The other problem you have is your doctrine suggests and teach that man cannot do good in an unsaved state, which that is shown to be incorrect. Perhaps you should take your beliefs according to the scriptures instead of taking it from man. Continue to argue with God and His word, I guess.I am not moving anything. I have never mentioned that natural man cannot do good things to benefit others. But, who gave you the right to determine that they are a natural man. Is it you that makes that decision or God?
Your problem is the fact that you ignore plain and simple Scripture - Now “every imagination of the thoughts of his heart are only evil” Gen 6:5. Then, throw out examples that you believe proves that the Scripture plainly stated cannot possibly be correct rather than take it at face value. Perhaps that is something that you should take up with God himself.
The law never saved anyone. The new testament promise is found in Ezekiel 36:26-27. We find that a new heart is given and the Spirit which enable those so endowed to walk in His statutes and keep His judgments.Interesting…so if those passages are referring to the New Testament, then there were Gentiles who were saved without the law [the New Covenant] written on their hearts? And they were able to show the New Covenant law written in their hearts without it?
Well I haven't spoken to him personally, but I believe he is saying that we are at liberty to choose either right or wrong. But only have the ability to please God once He has changed us and restored our ability to do so. I believe that Adam had both the liberty and ability to please God, but freely chose not to.I know that ... I was asking about the quote you submitted.
you quoted Gen 6:5 “every imagination of the thoughts of his heart are only evil”
then followed up with the G I Williamson quote ... so I asked what did G I Williamson mean ...
did he mean that man is free to do good and when faced with a choice he will only do evil?
or did he mean that man is free to do good and when faced with a choice he may do good but the good he does is evil?
I am asking for clarification as to what G I Williamson meant when he made the statement.
.
They must be saved. The carnal man is not subject to the law and cannot be according Romans 8:7.my view is, There not saved in the passage I cited but they still do requirements of the law via God pricking there conscience.
It could be that they don't do the works for Gods intent and purpose but only for there own gain.
But still it's God pricking the conscience of the unsaved.
For those doing his works for the lords gain then yes it would likely lead to them being saved,
But in both instances his pricking of there conscience is his enabling grace to test there works in fire
Did I say that? No. You're the one making unfounded assumptions.again this is your assumption the only thing I'm commenting on is Gods will.
Did I say that? No.Am I stupid to ask can the blind lead the blind by God word.
Asking questions isn't commenting. Ignoring your questions is not ignoring God's word.Would I be just commenting if asked would God create people to do that.
My comments are not intended to be a reflection of what you're saying, and the word is "they're".Your comments are not a reflection of what I'm saying and there only a distraction.
Do you want a cookie?I have more patience than what you think so don't waste your time.
If God did not seek Adam in the Garden. If God didn't send signs and wonders. If God didn't send His word. If God didn't raise up a nation. If God didn't send His Son. If God didn't send us His Spirit.........None would seek Him. None could be saved. We cannot "close" the Gap.@cv5 @Kroogz I have been thinking…it is written in the book of Zechariah and Hebrews that God forms man’s spirit and is the Father of spirits. It is written in the book of Acts that we are the offspring of God. It is written in the Psalms that the LORD he is God, he hath made us. Did God make man without free will or to be totally depraved? If He did, then what part of man? If we have no free will, then does God? And what aspect of man came from God that does not have free will or is totally depraved? If we are made in the image of God, and God has free will, then we have free will. If God has free will, and we do not, then we are not made in His image. Also, did God form a spirit to be in man that is robbed or incapable of making a choice to choose Him? It is written in Genesis that God breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. Did Adam have free will? If not, then did God breathe into man’s nostrils and soul not to have free will and be totally depraved? And why? Was this God’s intention from before the creation itself?
Tell me how it is that millions of people throughout history never even heard of Jesus, but all treated with equal opportunity. For God So loved the world.......
...Not for yours only, but for the whole world.....
...He died for all....
.....tasted death for everyone......
Equal privilege and equal opportunity for ALL....7 kids need this truth.
Did I post a "like" icon on it? No.yep ok so huh means you like something. Good for you.
How does that relate to Romans 2:14-15 concerning with the Gentiles which did not have the law?The law never saved anyone. The new testament promise is found in Ezekiel 36:26-27. We find that a new heart is given and the Spirit which enable those so endowed to walk in His statutes and keep His judgments.
We definitely cannot close the gap.If God did not seek Adam in the Garden. If God didn't send signs and wonders. If God didn't send His word. If God didn't raise up a nation. If God didn't send His Son. If God didn't send us His Spirit.........None would seek Him. None could be saved. We cannot "close" the Gap.
But He did not leave us on our own......He SEEKS that which is lost. A benevolent Savior came after us. Seeking us out......ALL of us.
GRACE.
