When it comes to things religious scholars and average people alike have been arguing about for 400 years to 2000 years depending on the subject. Im of the position we could both be wrong.

I did not say He ceased to be God.

I was careful to say that He chose to stop functioning as God when He made the choice to make Himself be as a man.

When God chooses to do nothing?
He still remains being God.

If God chose top be neutral towards the Soul of Jesus?
Does not God have that right and ability to do so?


Did you know that God is spirit?
And, not soul?

Jesus was being two natures in union.
The Deity side chose to let the Soul of Jesus to do all as a man without enabling His soul.
Any power Jesus needed from God?
He depended upon the Father and Holy Spirit for.

He lived like we are now supposed to do.

If you understand that the book of Deuteronomy is about God initiating a covenant with Israel with terms and sanctions for failing to keep the covenant, you will be able to understand the book of Revelation as God ending the covenant with Israel because they failed to uphold their obligations under the covenant.

Christ is ruling the earth and His kingdom is growing. Satan is bound as Jesus told us...I will build my church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it.

Judgment was poured out upon Israel in the 1st century culminating in the destruction of Jerusalem and the temple.

It certainly tells them they are barred unless they are one of the divine "favored ones" .. must be something to sit in church for years to find out you are not one of them.

I was wondering about the children sitting in Sunday School waiting and wondering if they are one of the divine favorites.

Heartbreaking.. I mean they have to be "poofed" aka regenerated without warning, just happens like a blink, no thinking, if they do think it will only be to deny of the Good News, they cannot understand it, it is all gibberish, like a foreign language or something.

And we know :rolleyes: God created them that way, He created them to reject Him at every turn unless they are a favored one.

Children will hear but that is all ..it is spiritual has no earthly counterpart for them to grasp and believe, unless they are on the favorite list ... all of it falls on ears that cannot respond positively.


Little children born with evil, with chains around them, hearts of stone, born slaves to sin, wicked evil children, Satan has them captive before birth actually.... he is omnipotent you know,..... blind children worse than Hitler if not for common grace Paul Washer tells us, hated by God according to some.

Yup heartbreaking.

As God he simply chose not to directly empower his humanity.
And, his soul agreed that it was to be the needed arrangement to follow in order to die on the Cross as a man would die.

Jesus is uniquely fully God, and fully man, in union.
Do you agree with that statement?

It's true, we could both be wrong but I still wouldn't pen your lambs in with the wolves but you are free to ignore my advice. :)

I’m not comfortable with the idea He stopped functioning as God. But I agree that He never stopped being God when He took on flesh.

Is it possible Revelation is an expanded account of the destruction of Jerusalem in AD 70?
