That is generally speaking but of course some who are diagnosed as having TDS are actually Schizophrenic and/or delusional. This usually manifests as paranoia, recently we had a person on this forum exhibiting extreme paranoia.
For example we have one poster who thinks electing Mamdani is NYers "coming to their senses" -- that is delusional.

Ridiculous? It depends. Just because you don't like Trump does not mean you have a mental disorder. It makes sense that a lot of people would not like the tariffs, a lot of people would not like the blowing up of the drug cartels boats even if they want the drug cartels prosecuted and shut down, they would not like the saber rattling, they would not like the government shutdown. All those things are valid issues to debate. But if people are incapable of having a respectful debate over the issues this could certainly be a sign of cult like behavior. It could be group think, but in reality it is a sign of brain washing and manipulation.
So throwing around a term like TDS to anyone who disagrees with Trump is ridiculous. But if they are throwing around terms like Fascist and racist, is it really ridiculous?
It's fascinating. Rather than sit down and try to figure out how they can improve people's lives, they start looking for ways to cheat and game the system; more of the same that made voters turn away from them in the fist place. This is the true maga.
I agree. We have both TDS and TWS (Trump worship syndrome). This tells me that the purpose of the brain washing and group think is to divide and conquer. The 1% is pitting the 40% against the 40%. 9% are the equivalent of the House N***** and maybe at most 10% can see this for what it is, an attempt by the elites to stay in power as the world crumbles around them.
BTW phobias and depression and dissocial disorders are on the DSM. I provided quotes from two different posters that would clearly make them eligible for counseling. We have had many, many more examples from Tik Tok also posted on this forum.
If you look at the amount of people in the US taking prescription medicine to treat mental disorders it is incredibly stunning. It is off the charts stunning. Basically it is hard to get a number because you don't know if the same person is taking multiple prescriptions. But if you were to look at this reasonably and assume most people are suffering from one disorder, you are looking at 1 out of 2 people in the US potentially are taking prescription medicine for mental disorders or have taken them in the last 12 months.
Now you can find out there are two groups that have a very high rate of mental disorder, even compared to the US which has an astronomical rate as a country.
The first is divorced women. The second is residents in large cities. Interesting that the biggest supporters of the Democrats and the base of the Democrats is where mental disorders are the highest.

I'd argue even in this idea TDS isn't the disease, it's just the symptom. The disease is the Mind Virus.
I am well aware of the DSM, I did some social work courses while trying to decide on path I would take.
You do have stuff in this post I agree with, yes there has been a concerted effort to polarize and brainwash the citizens in western democracies.
But it kinda side steps my point, I am sure that there are people on both sounds that are "clinical" that could be diagnosed, it would be more reasonable to assume the illness was there or/and politics just makes if worse or brings it out in some people.
