I will put the fear of me in their hearts, that they may not turn from me.

I wonder what free willers make of that verse.

Do they say, oh, God turned me into a puppet?

Do they scream about how unfair He is to act unilaterally to cause people to obey?

It does make me wonder...

He puts the spirit of the fear of God into our hearts that warns us there is a bad consequence for doing works of the flesh. After that it's our choice what they do.

The fear of the Lord is described as a "fountain of life" that turns people away from death.

Scripture says the wicked are devoid of such.

Proverbs-Fearofthe-Lord.png

The fear of the Lord leads to life, that one may rest content, without visitation from harm. Proverbs 19 v 23 He who fears the Lord is secure in confidence, and his children shall have a place of refuge. The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, turning a man from the snares of death. Proverbs 14 v 26-27 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Proverbs 9 v 10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline. Proverbs 1 v 7 The fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom, and humility comes before honor. Proverbs 15 v 33 His mercy extends to those who fear Him, from generation to generation. Luke 1 v 50 By the fear of the LORD one turns aside from evil. Proverbs 16 v 6B

Can't explain? Who can't explain?
I'm a premillennialist and I CAN "explain" all of those prophecies and concatenate them with the book of revelation accurately without breaking a sweat.

You see little buddy, it is YOU that "can't explain" those prophecies or the book of revelation. You can't. Not me can't not they can't.....YOU can't.
Ok. So...give me an outline of the book of Revelation and we'll see.

I admire your confidence in your belief. I hope I can be as confident in my understanding of them some day.
It takes decades of sustained effort to get there. And as you well know, family, work, other distractions can impede progress.

But.....we are overcomers are we not?

I know it's not pleasant sometimes m, but what can we do when in where disagreement

There are some people who have been Relentless here as in having zero reasoning to stop assigning everything we discuss to ideologies of the wrong kind. Despite asking them nicely to stop on several occasions, and explaining why they shouldn't, responding in kindness, rather than Sooner or later m when confronted with this no end, you end up saying something you wish you didn't have to.

Sending thousands of posts to then only have some new member come along and it's back to square 1 again, and people in this thread are being very tolerant in this thread towards that as well as being tolerant of unnecessary comments before calling it out for what it is.

Such as people behaving incredibly unfair, and acting like trolls that like to bully along with acting like hypocrites m

How much should you take before you call it out for what it is. Because you tried reasoning even humoring, as well showing them clearly how the will of man lives in the flesh m,.. and how the lords will is above all. 🤩🌈🍰
Trolls just do what they do friend, enlightening, mutually beneficial spiritual discussion, isn't what floats their boat. They want to control discussion, impose their interpretation of Scripture etc, i do wonder if some of them are genuine Christians.

However, trolls are often troubled people, it's also possible there are only a couple of, or a very few, busy trolls. Doesn't take many of them to cause trouble, i have cracked up laughing when reading replies seemingly to two or three other members, who are all clearly the same troll. If you get a sense of déjà vu too at times, i recommend clicking on the comment linked in the reply, it's often very enlightening

Are you unaware of all the blather about how God acting unilaterally makes us puppets, and/or Him a monster?

From the free will crowd, of course. Some of them definitely have a hate-on for God's sovereignty.

impose their interpretation of Scripture etc, i

And there is only one narrow path and one gate and one way to enter, a Christian should always support, teach and preach the correct, accurate and authentic Gospel, it is not open to interpretation at all.

The natural man does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God. For they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. 1 Corinthians ch 2 v 14

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom (2 Cor ch 3 v 17). If anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ (Rom 8 v 9b). The world cannot receive the Spirit of truth, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him (from John 14 v 17). Those not in Christ are not free (see Heb 2 v 15). Praise God if He has rescued you from the dominion of darkness! (see Col 1 v 13)

Of course there's only one actual interpretation, but people often have different interpretations of particular scriptures. Hence why there are the *thou-shalt-nots* you hang out with and the more *rejoice in the Lord* types like me.

i have read some interesting comments from you about other things, however, think you're pretty dogmatic spiritually. Well, at least on this thread, s'pose we'll find out whether one or both of us got it right in the nearish future.

Precious friend, if you are talking to / trying to (in love) encourage different people, that is
one thing, but the continual "bashing over the head with Scripture" of one particular individual,
is quite different, and, imho, in that case God's Commands Should "be heeded", Correct?:

Romans 16:17; Titus 3:10; 2 Thessalonians 3:14 AV

Hope this helps...

Amen.

Here...

In order for Jesus to place himself on the cross to die in our place?
He needed to make Himself (in his function) to be a man only.

For, if he remained as God in his function?
He could never qualify as our substitute on the Cross.
Besides that?
God can not die.
And, as God? He can not die for a man..
It takes a man to be the perfect substitute on the Cross.

Jesus Christ has two distinct natures in union.
He is both fully man, and fully God.
Two different natures in union.

In order to die as a man for all mankind?
He needed to deny Himself of His right to be as God in his function.
Philippians 2:6-8, says that is what happened.
He denied himself his right as being in full power as God,
in order that he could make himself to become a man, our perfect sacrifice.

Philippians 2:6-8 tells us that is what took place!
Who, being in very nature God,
did not consider equality with God
something to be used to his own advantage;
rather, he made himself nothing
by taking the very nature of a servant,
being made in human likeness.
And being found in appearance as a man,
he humbled himself
by becoming obedient to death—
Even death on a cross!

See it now?

He denied himself all his powers of Deity, so that by means of His human soul,
he functioned fully as the perfect Man of God. Not as God.
His Deity went in full neutrality in regard to enabling his humanity in any way.

He had to make himself become like a Christian, needing to depend upon the Father and Holy Spirit.

Grace and peace ...... GeneZ

Truth and dogmatism are two different things.

It is good to be dogmatic with truth and not good to be dogmatic with error.

There is one objective, consistent teaching in scripture about spiritual salvation and how it is received.

I don't believe it only refers to the church age; simply revealed during the church age. This is why Christ revealed the truth concerning Abraham that Abraham saw His day and rejoiced. It is also why Job recognized God as his redeemer. While they understood less than we do today, they had to be in Christ in order for Christ to be their mediator. Otherwise, they remained in Adam. There is no third option.
How many Brides does he have?

Of course there is a distinction between believing gentiles and unbelieving Jews.
And of course, Jews that come to believe AFTER THE RAPTURE are not part of the Church per se.

Church is one and done....starts at Pentecost ends at the rapture.

Those who believe post-rapture are categorized in different classes of saints.

It takes a while for it to settle down for some.

It all depends upon what kind of teachings they have accepted and never were in a position to question before.

There is just one truth, however, we don't agree as to what that truth is. Well, it's wait and see for both of us.
