and then the ones who assume that all food stamp recipients are lazy and don't work.
I used to get food stamps years ago when child support was taken almost my entire paycheck.
there's nothing wrong with helping hard-working Americans who are trying to do their best.
meanwhile, the satanic temple is already working on food drives for people who are about to lose their benefits next month
I am not aware of anyone who thinks all recipients are lazy. I mistakenly said I thought all were Democrats, I was corrected, and what I should have said much more clearly is that from all the videos I had seen of people saying they would loot and steal if they didn't get EBT and SNAP, they all appeared to be aligned with BLM and Antifa.
I have posted several videos that are a collection of these videos and in most of them if not all of them they make it clear they are not against the government helping people who need a helping hand, nor are they against people who are handicapped or incapable of feeding themselves being supported. The issue is with people taking advantage of the system.
Now it seems to me that these videos are so over the top saying it is the tax payers responsibility to take care of their kids and no way they are going to go to work, they'll steal first, that these are designed to stir up strife and provoke a civil war. Some are parodies, some are fake news. Therefore I think the prudent thing to do is to be warned, to take actions to prepare for the event that there are riots, looting and where it is not safe to go to the store to buy food. Then we can simply watch and see what does transpire.
"The Satanic temple is working on a food drive." Please, that is simply pathetic. I am involved in one of the most successful food drives in the country, I have been involved for about four years. We have people from two other states who also come to this to get food. Last Friday we handed out boxes of food to 1500 people and I gave bibles to 250. It has been a labor of love to those who have worked here. I also work with another organization that serves breakfast and dinner 12 times a week and also gives out bag lunches to those who have jobs. They have been operating for close to sixty years in this city. They typically feed close to 1,000 people a day. Why weren't the Satanists helping people before this? There are too many scammers and charlatans trying to grift, whenever something like this becomes front page news they move in and try to scam people out of money. I'll trust the people who have been doing this day in and day out for decades.
I'm not a member of said organization, as I find Satanism to be corny but they have been doing charity work for decades.

That verse is about discerning what to receive and not to receive. You have every right to decide I won't eat this or that. I make those decisions daily about who to listen to and who not to. But if you want to claim the person is a false prophet, that is a whole different thing. You need to be absolutely clear that you are standing on the word of God before making that judgment because if you are wrong then you are the false prophet. That is a serious thing.

When i was young and going to the church, one day i saw a priest stealing money from the donation box.
This made me very upset and didn't go to the church for like 5 years. But later i realized that actions of men who are supposed to represent God or be ambassadors of God are no different than an unbeliever in a lot of ways and they have a hard time or don't even try to live a life guided by Christ.
So i made the distinctions of realizing that a man in a church is no more holy than you or me and in no way this man was going to affect my love for God.

my wife has been deceased for about a decade and my son has been deceased since 2025. don't act brand new. you know all of this.

the only time I've ever been without a job since I graduated high school this one I was injured and couldn't work.
anyway, when I was injured for a few months and couldn't work, child support took almost my entire paycheck until I got caught up.
I would have started without food stamps, yet I am a hard-working american.
just like millions of other hard-working Americans who also might need help with food sometimes.
The term child support refers to a court ordered child support in a divorce. If your check was used up supporting your children we would not call that "child support". We would call that supporting your children.
