This is why I don't take leftists seriously. If you have empathy for the poor give money out of your own paycheck to help them. They think taking taxpayers money and giving it to the poor is somehow empathy. There are 41 million people in this country on assistance, most likely every single one of them is a Democrat. So when the Democrats are for giving money to the poor what they are saying is give money to me and somehow that makes them empathetic?

Then we see Ilhan Omar and others virtue signaling at a soup kitchen only to learn later that they are grifters taking a very big bite out of the money that was supposed to go to charity.

Joe Biden pardons his own son? He gives people a free "get out of jail free card" if they ever do any crimes in the future? You want me to give money to these people and trust them to give it to the poor?

Social Security is not assistance, that is money that we earned and gave to the government to invest and keep it safe for our retirement. Likewise with people who are getting VA benefits or some form of insurance for being injured on the job or while serving the US. That includes unemployment which is insurance that you paid for when you were employed.

These 41 million people are those who receive "food stamps", they have a number of different programs: SNAP, EBT and WIC.

Granted for a few people this is a short term help, often for single mothers or young people trying to find a job. But most young people and single mothers are also democrats, so I will stand by my estimate.

But i also used to work two jobs too bro. And i had fun while doing them too. Of course i was young back then but the point was to better myself so when i got older i didn't have to work 2 jobs.

Of course your gonna stand by you estimate . Your not living in reality. I live in bfe where trump won 90% of the vote and half the people are on food stamps. Thats reality. Every local corner store at an intersection has we accept ebt on it. The gas station in the city of 700 my zip code belongs too and the dollar general there have ebt signs out front. And when I need cheap deodorant or something like that from the dollar store and there's 3 people in front of me they are paying with ebt. Living in a district trump won by 90%. My brother lives in a trailer park in the bayou of Louisiana and everyone is a trump loving unemployed food stamp user. You need to get out more. Fox news and you tube are rotting your brain.

BTW I don't watch Fox news, or ABC, or CBS or NBC or CNN. The only reason I might post a link to one of their videos is because in some news stories without commentary it is more reliable due to the proliferation of Fake news.

Yes, there are many people who are voting Republican who are on some kind of assistance, you are certainly right on that. It is my mistake that I began my discussion on this with people claiming online that they are going to loot when their benefits are cut off and that had been my focus but I neglected to include that caveat in the last two posts, sorry. I have seen many videos of people claiming they will loot and they talk to many people who will lose benefits. Some people talked about how this would be very hard on them, but a number of people seemed to feel that taxpayers paying for their food was their right and if the government wasn't gong to pay then the store will. That was the focus, the minority of people who are on public assistance planning on looting.

Then there was a video today where this guy pointed out that all the videos were from black women with a bunch of kids. I have not done a deep dive on the videos but it is true that of the ones I have seen that was the case.

So to clarify, it seems to me, and this is not scientific, but of the ones who are claiming they will loot that they would be aligned with Antifa, and BLM and Democrats. So far I have not seen any videos from someone clearly aligned with the Republicans saying they are going to loot.

We will find out in the coming week or two how serious or not serious this is.

Also I live in a red state that voted for Trump and it isn't a swing state. I checked 9% of the people in our county get SNAP. Now just because this area voted for Trump, the Democrats got much more than 9% of the vote. I do expect the majority of those who get SNAP voted for the Democrats, if they voted at all. Also in Louisiana Biden got 40% of the vote in 2020.
