A very clear explanation of what options the US has to get out of our debt crisis and he makes a compelling case that the only way out will be default. Theoretically there are other ways out, but he does a very good job of explaining why they will not work for the US. He then explains this is why gold is going up, all the world's central banks have come to the same conclusion. I've been following this for two years and this is the best explanation I have seen for how we know that the US will default on its debt and gold will become the world's reserve currency.

"Fixing the situation" means to stop living beyond our means (I am talking about the US debt and deficit). We cannot continue to borrow money, at some point you have to actually pay off the debt. One way to do that is to "tighten your belt" meaning cut back on government programs like SNAP, EBT and Section 8. You may not like the fix, but think about it. Someone is going to have to pay. You are delusional if you think it will be the elites.
Our beloved elected officials who we kept reelecting for decades declined to correct the problem incrementally, so now it must be done with a temporary "great wailing and gnashing of teeth".

This woman says that what will happen is they will jump women coming out of the grocery store with a cart full of food and take her food. Everyone needs to have two months worth of food at home. It will be crazy for the first two months.
I suspect that Walmart and all the other grocery stores are figuring out what their plan is going to be. I think we can assume that their revenue will be down 10% so it will be a very tough environment for them to increase private security. If looting is bad I would expect them to lock the doors and only take drive thru orders where you order the food online and then pick it up. The problem with that of course is hoodlums waiting outside the parking lot to follow cars home. I would learn where the police station is, pick up your food, drive to the police station and take a picture of the cars following you to show them. Then go home.

I think it was one of the videos you provided that resulted in my watching Charlie Munger which I hadn't done for some time. It was so very refreshing to listen to good, simple, success-proven, politically-incorrect common sense. Setting aside the real message that wealth is not measure in $ - the essential, repeated common sense expressed was that finances are very basic math - addition and subtraction and going against this is "STUPID". The fix for all of this pertains to the stupid - the system, the criminality including the gaming of the grace system meant to help the truly needy, the unaccountable political system that has basically unbridled access to the national treasure and abuses it for political gain and maintenance, and so on and on. Simply put, work and make more than you need to spend, save, repeat over time and let compounding do what it does.
You shall not steal. If anyone does not work, then neither shall they eat. Steal no longer, do honest work so you have some to share. Someone said such things long before Charlie spoke his long-tested wisdom.

But in so doing they destroy their business and now more and more countries and people are learning to despise them. The politicians can't leave and the local counterfeit businesses can't leave and so the corruption is concentrated.
