The Jewish believers in Jerusalem seemed zealous for the law even as they celibrated the work of Paul among the gentiles without the law.

Act 21:17 And when we were come to Jerusalem, the brethren received us gladly.
Act 21:18 And the day following Paul went in with us unto James; and all the elders were present.
Act 21:19 And when he had saluted them, he declared particularly what things God had wrought among the Gentiles by his ministry.
Act 21:20 And when they heard it, they glorified the Lord, and said unto him, Thou seest, brother, how many thousands of Jews there are which believe; and they are all zealous of the law:

The Gospel is the good news. The good news covers lots of different topics; but they're all part of one gospel message- the chief, or most important part is the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus in accordance with the scriptures; but that's just the beginning.

Not Two gospels?
Then Why is there more than one gospel, According To
God's Precious Word Of Truth, Rightly Divided
?:

Agreement of The Gospel

Amen.
Nope one gospel.
From Gen to Rev.
Same God that requires innocent blood to purge sin.
God is not confused.
One Gospel, from the God that NEVER CHANGES.

BTW....Salvation is a person, not the correct reciting of the bible.
The devil can recite it.
He will never be saved.

The fact that anyone can claim there are 2 Holy Spirits, inspiring men to write the Bible, one with a true gospel and another with a tricky false gospel.....is flat out nauseating.

Who is claiming two Holy Spirits?

In Matthew 4:15-23, Jesus began his ministry with the Gospel message to repent for the Kingdom of God is at hand
That message was preparatory to the gospel, not the gospel itself.

The gospel is remission of sin through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. It could not be preached in full until after His death, and Scripture does not record anyone preaching the complete gospel message until Pentecost as recorded in Acts 2.

Gal 2:7 But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as the gospel of the circumcision was unto Peter;

There are similarities between the two gospels such as salvation by faith. However, if they were the same gospel, why was the gospel of the kingdom for Israel still requiring circumcision while the gospel of grace for gentiles was not.

The Two Apostles, One Gospel Source
Paul writes:

“But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as the gospel of the circumcision was unto Peter.”
Galatians 2:7

At first glance, that might sound like two different gospels. But if we read the next verses carefully:

“(For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles).”
Galatians 2:8

Paul clarifies — it’s one message, two missions:
  • Peter’s apostleship focused on the circumcision (Israel).
  • Paul’s apostleship focused on the uncircumcision (Gentiles).
  • The same God empowered both.
So the distinction is audience, not message.

Circumcision Was a Covenant Mark — Not a Means of Salvation
In the Old Covenant, circumcision identified someone as part of Israel — a physical sign of belonging (Genesis 17:10–14).
But the prophets already pointed forward to heart circumcision:

“Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart…” — Deuteronomy 10:16
“The LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart…” — Deuteronomy 30:6

By the time of Christ and the apostles, the physical ritual no longer defined covenant membership. Paul explains:

“He is not a Jew, which is one outwardly… but he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit…”
Romans 2:28–29
So the early Jewish believers like Peter still practiced circumcision culturally, but faith, not ritual, was the saving factor for both Jew and Gentile.

Peter Himself Affirmed Salvation by Grace Alone
At the Jerusalem Council, Peter declared:

“But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.”
Acts 15:11

Peter — the apostle of the circumcision — stood with Paul and said salvation is by grace through faith, not by circumcision or the Law (see Acts 15:5–11).

That’s the nail in the coffin for any “two different gospels.” The apostles agreed completely: salvation was through faith in Christ’s finished work — the same gospel, though preached to different audiences with different starting points.

Paul’s Gospel Did Not Abolish Peter’s — It Completed God’s Plan
When Paul speaks of “my gospel” (Romans 2:16), he doesn’t mean a different message, but a specific revelation of the same salvation now fully revealed:

“Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages… but now is made manifest…” — Colossians 1:26

That “mystery” was the unity of Jew and Gentile in one body (Ephesians 3:6).

Table of it:
1761171805683.png
Basically...
There are not two different gospels, but one gospel with two commissions:
  • Peter ministered to Israel first — “to the Jew first.”
  • Paul carried the same gospel “and also to the Greek” (Romans 1:16).
The external signs (like circumcision) faded as the New Covenant took full effect in Christ — who “abolished in his flesh the enmity… to make in himself of twain one new man” (Ephesians 2:15).

Grace and Peace

The “second” time? Care to explain?

No, but I guess you would like me too.

LOL, joking no issue.

After JESUS rose from the grave he accended the first time.

John 20:17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.

18 Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that he had spoken these things unto her.

19 Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.

The second time, Acts 1:9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.

GOD BLESS YOU.

Gal 2:7 But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as the gospel of the circumcision was unto Peter;
Galatians 2:7 very simple and clear.
Here’s the verse first (KJV):
“But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as the gospel of the circumcision was unto Peter;”

Simple Explanation
Paul is saying:

  • God gave him (Paul) the mission to preach the gospel to Gentiles (non-Jews).
  • God gave Peter the mission to preach the gospel to Jews.
That’s it.
It’s not two different gospels in content — it’s one gospel with two audiences.

Think of It Like This:
Apostle Audience Same Message Peter Jews (“circumcision”) Jesus is the Christ — salvation through
Him Paul Gentiles (“uncircumcision”) Jesus is the Christ — salvation through Him

Both preached that salvation comes through Jesus, but their focus groups were different.

Example for Clarity:
It’s like two pastors preaching the same message in different neighborhoods:

  • Peter preached mainly in Jerusalem to Jewish people who already knew the Law.
  • Paul preached in Gentile cities like Corinth, Ephesus, and Rome — to people who didn’t.
Same gospel truth — different audiences, different approach.

Key Point:
Galatians 2:7 does not mean there were two different gospels (one of works and one of grace).
It means there was one true gospel of Jesus Christ — entrusted to two apostles with two mission fields.

There are similarities between the two gospels such as salvation by faith. However, if they were the same gospel, why was the gospel of the kingdom for Israel still requiring circumcision while the gospel of grace for gentiles was not.
The reason is timing — not that there were two different gospels.

When Jesus and the apostles first preached to Israel (the Gospel of the Kingdom),
they were still living under the Law of Moses.
Under that old covenant, circumcision was still required for Jewish males (Genesis 17; Leviticus 12:3).

After Jesus died and rose again, the old covenant ended and the new covenant of grace began.
That’s when God revealed that circumcision no longer mattered — only faith in Christ did (Galatians 5:6; 6:15).

In Simple Terms:

Time Covenant Requirement Before the CrossOld Covenant (Law)Circumcision still practicedAfter the CrossNew Covenant (Grace)Faith alone in Christ

So the difference isn’t two gospels —
it’s the same gospel unfolding at two different times in God’s plan.

Summary:

The Gospel of the Kingdom was preached while Israel was still under the Law — so circumcision continued.
The Gospel of Grace came after the cross — when Jesus fulfilled the Law, making circumcision no longer required.

Okay, that's what I figured you meant. The problem is that there isn't a verse telling us that Jesus did ascend between the morning of His resurrection and the event in Acts.

Okay, that's what I figured you meant. The problem is that there isn't a verse telling us that Jesus did ascend between the morning of His resurrection and the event in Acts.

I should have shared more of HIS word, sorry.

He ascended and came back the same day.

John 20:17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.

JESUS said, don't touch me because he did not ascend yet.

Then HE came to them, so did HE ascend or not?

Look at verse 27, HE told Thomas to touch HIM.

It does not say HE ascended and returned, BUT it is clear HE said don't touch me, and then came to HIS disciples and allowed them to touch HIM.

21 Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.

22 And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:

23 Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.

24 But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came.

25 The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.

26 And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.

27 Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.

Grace and Peace

No debate Paul was sent to the Gentiles and Peter to the Jews BUT there messages were the same and both preached to BOTH Jews and Gentles.

Peter was the first one to the Gentiles, Acts 10.

GOD told Ananias, Acts 9:15 But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel:

Look at Acts 19:1 And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples,
2 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.
3 And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism.
4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.
5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.
7 And all the men were about twelve.
8 And he went into the synagogue, and spake boldly for the space of three months, disputing and persuading the things concerning the kingdom of God.
9 But when divers were hardened, and believed not, but spake evil of that way before the multitude, he departed from them, and separated the disciples, disputing daily in the school of one Tyrannus.
10 And this continued by the space of two years; so that all they which dwelt in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks.

To be clear, the same message or results as Acts 2:38 BUT look at verse 10 And this continued by the space of two years; so that all they which dwelt in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks.

So Peter preached to the Gentiles and the Jews along with Paul.

Now to address your Summary:

"The Gospel of the Kingdom was preached while Israel was still under the Law — so circumcision continued.

Grace and Peace

Summary:
  • The Gospel of the Kingdom was proclaimed while Israel was still under the Law. During that period, circumcision and other covenant signs were still observed.
  • After the cross and resurrection, Jesus fulfilled the Law completely (Romans 10:4; Galatians 3:24–25).
  • From that point forward, the Gospel of Grace extended to both Jew and Gentile alike — with no distinction in how anyone is saved. Salvation is now by grace through faith in Christ alone (Ephesians 2:8–9), apart from the works of the Law or rituals like circumcision.
In short:
Yes — after the crucifixion, the Gospel of Grace envelops both Jew and Gentile into one body, the Church.
“For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles.” — 1 Corinthians 12:13

the message of faith and repentance was the same, but the covenantal setting was different.
Before the cross, Israel was still under the Law (Galatians 4:4–5). The Gospel of the Kingdom called them to faith in their Messiah, but they were still bound to the Mosaic system — circumcision, temple worship, and sacrifices — until the ultimate sacrifice was offered:

“For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.” — Hebrews 10:4
“But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God.” — Hebrews 10:12

When Jesus died and rose again, the Law was fulfilled and completed in Him (Matthew 5:17; Romans 10:4). That’s when the Gospel of Grace was fully revealed — salvation by faith in Christ apart from the works of the Law, now offered equally to Jew and Gentile (Ephesians 2:14–16; Galatians 3:28).

In short:
✔️ The message of salvation has always been by faith in God’s promise.
✔️ But before the cross, that faith was expressed under the Law.
✔️ After the cross, that faith rests in the finished work of Christ — the once-for-all sacrifice that set us free from the Law’s demands.

It’s one gospel revealed in two phases of God’s redemptive plan — not two different messages of salvation.

it’s not two gospels.
Before the cross, the same message of faith pointed forward to what Christ would accomplish. After the cross, that same message points back to what He already accomplished.

“For by grace are ye saved through faith…” — Ephesians 2:8
“For what the law could not do… God sending his own Son… condemned sin in the flesh.” — Romans 8:3

Under the Law, believers trusted God’s promise of redemption — though the sacrifice hadn’t yet been made. Once Jesus became the Lamb of God who taketh away the sin of the world (John 1:29), that promise was fulfilled, and the Law’s purpose was completed (Galatians 3:24–25).

So yes — the people before the cross were still under the Law, but the saving message was always centered on faith in God’s provision, now fully revealed through Christ.

Some claim Peter preached a “Kingdom Gospel” for Israel and Paul preached a different “Gospel of Grace” for the Gentiles. But Scripture is unmistakably clear — there has always been one gospel, centered on Jesus Christ’s death and resurrection.

Paul wrote,
“But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel… let him be accursed.” (Galatians 1:8)
He didn’t say “except for Peter’s version” — he said any other gospel.
In Acts 15, Peter publicly affirmed the same message Paul preached:

“We believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.” (Acts 15:11)
That’s one gospel — salvation by grace through faith in Christ alone.
Paul and Peter simply ministered to different audiences:

“The gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as the gospel of the circumcision was unto Peter.” (Galatians 2:7)
That verse doesn’t describe two gospels, but one gospel preached in two mission fields — Jews and Gentiles — just as Jesus commanded (Matthew 28:19).
Peter later affirmed Paul’s writings as Scripture (2 Peter 3:15–16), showing complete unity in message.

The early church stood together on one foundation:

“One Lord, one faith, one baptism.” (Ephesians 4:5)
The “two gospel” theory divides what Scripture unites. There is one cross, one Savior, one gospel for all people in every age — “the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth.” (Romans 1:16)

Grace and peace in Christ.

It's not Peter and Paul who disagree It's Matthew verses Mark through Revelation. If you go back in history to around 384AD and read the things Jerome wrote about the writings of Matthew the Apostle he said gathered up from the different Churches when he was ask to translate it to Latin it will make more sense. By the fourth century AD the original writing of Matthew could not be identified for certain. One Church had the Gospel of Matthew and others had a completely different book they said was the Gospel of Matthew. The Ebonites https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ebionites believed Jesus as the Christ but completely different and so did the sect of the Nazarene sect. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nazarene_(sect) Damasus 1 https://www.google.com/search?client=ubuntu-sn&channel=fs&q=pope+domasas wanted Jerome to translate the Vulgate Bible into Latin and begin at Matthew,Mark,Luke and John in that order.
Jerome wrote to Damasus and stated he found that the copies of Matthew he found were "marked with discrepancies" but Damasus pressed him to continue. If you read the things Jerome wrote at the time he was translating Matthew it will become clear that the writing of the Apostle Matthew was a lost writing by 3rd century AD because it had had another epistle written by another man named Matthew(Ebionite or Nazarene) intermingled with the autograph writing of the Apostle Matthew. Hence you end up with Jesus is the first born of the dead verses some of the prophets of old being raised three days prior at the death of Christ and Jesus not the first born from the dead or Joseph who begat Jesus just like the Ebionite's and Nazarene's believed and taught.
This is why in Thessalonians Paul told them not to be soon shaken that the day of the Lord was "at hand" as if they had somehow missed the resurrection of the dead as the Ebionites and Nazarenes were teaching. https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2 Thessalonians 2:2&version=KJV and even more to the point in 1 timothy 1:20 https://biblehub.com/1_timothy/1-20.htm and 2 Timothy 2:17-18 these who were teaching the resurrection had already occurred. https://biblehub.com/2_timothy/2-17.htm And also Peter who in Acts points out that Davids tomb was still with them so he had not been resurrected at that time https://biblehub.com/acts/2-29.htm . The problem is not Peter verses Paul it's the error added in the first book Damasus had Jerome translate, Matthew because teachings from those who left out from us were intermingled with the writings https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1 John 2:19&version=KJV .

That’s quite a long historical detour you took — but it doesn’t actually address my main point about one gospel.

Brother, thank you for sharing that background — but none of those manuscript issues change the gospel itself.

Even if Jerome noted differences among early copies of Matthew, the New Testament message is still consistent across all four Gospels and the apostolic writings. The core truth never shifts:

“Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and… rose again the third day.” — 1 Corinthians 15:3–4

The early church recognized the same gospel through all the apostolic witnesses. Peter, Paul, and even the Gospel writers proclaimed one Savior, one cross, and one way of salvation — by grace through faith.

“We believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.” — Acts 15:11
“There is one body, and one Spirit… one Lord, one faith, one baptism.” — Ephesians 4:4–5

Historical manuscript variations don’t create new gospels; they only remind us that the same inspired truth was preserved and confirmed through multiple witnesses — all pointing to Christ’s finished work.

Grace and peace in Him.

Grace and peace in Christ.

yeah look how consistant it actually is

“The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God; ….Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭1:1, 14-15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭24:14‬ ‭

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved;

but he that believeth not shall be damned.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭16:15-16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into his lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and out of the prophets, from morning till evening. And some believed the things which were spoken, and some believed not.

…And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house, and received all that came in unto him, preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭28:23-24, 30-31‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle,( sent messenger ) separated unto the gospel of God, concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh; and declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭1:1, 3-4‬ ‭

the gospel doesn’t begin at the cross and end at the empty tomb ,

“And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭2:10-11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, good will toward men. And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭2:14-15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

There are four accounts of Jesus life , miraculous birth of a virgin , his miracles and power his ministry and teachings signs and wonders his love and care towards man and of course his suffering , willingly , on thier behalf and agonizing bloody death on the cross for the sins of the people and not his own … then rising up from death and walking out of the tomb victorious … then after that appearing many times to his disciples over a fourty day period , then ascending into heaven to sit and the right hand of God our Lord forever .

his whole life and time on earth is the gospel , the good news and Gods good will towards mankind is the gospel of Jesus Christ the son of God they all preached it you are correct . Jesus is the king and it’s his eternal kingdom that he offers to all who believe the new heaven and earth to come .

Just the one Gospel but the. Bible has four accounts based on people who Jesus chose as witnesses to the world and who followed and walked with him learned from him saw his power and knew his truth .

theres the gospel according to Matthew , an apostle and chosen witness of Jesus Christ to all the world . The gospel according to mark , an early biblical Christian who was closely associated in scripture with the apostle Peter and his perspective and account of the gospel .

The gospel according to John an apostle and chosen witness of Jesus Christ.
and the gospel according to luke which is unique in its sourcing being a collective of many eye witness accounts gathered and scrutinized and ordered by one who was there from the beginning and also had his own witness and accounts . Who was later a ministry companion of both Paul and mark. and is in the end with Paul in prison before his execution in rome.

the death of Jesus and his resurrection certainly are essential elements of the gospel it so what’s his life and ministry

Amen — well said! You’re absolutely right that the whole life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ is the gospel — the good news of God’s redeeming work through His Son.

Where we’re emphasizing unity is this: whether it’s the “Gospel of the Kingdom” that Jesus preached before the cross, or the “Gospel of Grace” proclaimed after the resurrection, both point to the same Person and the same salvation.

Before the cross, the message looked forward to the coming sacrifice — “the Lamb of God which taketh away the sin of the world” (John 1:29).
After the cross, it looks back at the finished work — “Christ died for our sins… and rose again” (1 Cor 15:3-4).

Different stages of revelation, but one continuous gospel, centered in Jesus — the King who saves by grace through faith.

Grace and peace in Christ.
