Here is something we all need to learn and know.....
In the day the Bible was being written, the word emotion was not used.
Instead, body parts were used to indicate emotions, as seen in the following.
My bowels, my bowels! I am pained at my very heart; my heart maketh a noise in me;
I cannot hold my peace, because thou hast heard, O my soul, the sound of the trumpet,
the alarm of war." Jeremiah 4:19
Paul said that the worst apostate Christians in his day were the ones who made their God their emotions.
As he expressed in Philippians 3:18-19.
(For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are
the enemies of the cross of Christ: Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose
glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)
Emotions are to respond to what we think.
Emotions are not to drive what we are to think.
Whose end is destruction, whose God is their emotions, and whose
glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)
Such as these Paul calls the enemies of the Cross.
