I think part of why psychotic people target Christians for violence is that they think we're meek, passive sheep who will make for easy targets .
True.I think the same thing also. The world don't know us.
It does make me want to stay away from church gatherings.
Yeah, it's important to remember that this is nothing new. The world has always done what the world will do. The Israelites had to take shifts defending and rebuilding the wall. Old paintings from colonial days depict a family going to church and the father carrying a musket. Even as recently as my childhood there have been attacks on churches. No, I'm not hesitant at all. I'm on the safety team at my church. I carry, always.
Recently, our leadership decided to hire off-duty police officers to be there, with the police car visibly parked in the parking lot. We have one at every service, plus the 4 or 5 safety team members mic'd up....
I liken it to pioneers.... you prepare for the eventuality that bad stuff might happen, and don't worry about it.
Maybe the "pew-pew-pew" crew....Not afraid to attend church at all.
The men's ministry has a gun club.
I think they need a name. What do you think of "The Pew Crew"?
Get it? Pew?
I'll show myself out.....
