2 Corinthians 1 v 20 ~ No matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through Him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God.

I decided a couple of days ago that there's no point in engaging with this thread anymore. Everything that could be said has been said. Let them have their tantrum.
Team Calvinists' defeat was inevitable. And has been graciously accepted.

2 Thessalonians 1 v 6, 7a, 8, 9 God is just. He will pay back trouble to those who trouble you, and give relief to you who are troubled, and to us as well. He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might.

Ephesians1-7-12s.png

Ephesians 1 v 7-12 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace that He lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding. And He has made known to us the mystery of His will according to His good pleasure, which He purposed in Christ as a plan for the fullness of time, to bring all things in heaven and on earth together in Christ. In Him we were also chosen as God’s own, having been predestined according to the plan of Him who works out everything by the counsel of His will, in order that we, who were the first to hope in Christ, would be for the praise of His glory.

I editorialized for clarity the passage in numbers and I made that abundantly clear by placing brackets around the words to call attention to this fact. But as usual, you're asleep at the switch!
more rationalization ... more excuses for your prideful behavior ... no humility thus far from you ...

you added words to Scripture which the Author of Scripture did not write ... your post 16,480 still infers that cv5 submitted the addition to Scripture ... your inane efforts in the pages of this thread to "fix for [yourself]" whatever tickles your flesh is nothing but your carnal arrogance exhibiting itself.

fyi ... I searched the words "wholly followed" at Blue Letter Bible website ... those words appear in 6 verses and all verses refer to Caleb and none of the verses include the words you bracketed.

Proverbs 15:31-32 The ear that heareth the reproof of life abideth among the wise. He that refuseth instruction despiseth his own soul: but he that heareth reproof getteth understanding.

only the Lord Jesus Christ is the Elect from before the foundation of the world.

yep ...

1 Peter 1:19-20 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you

believers are changed from natural man to "elect" at the time they are born again.

Rufus said:
All the elect are Abraham's spiritual descendants whom God has personally known throughout all eternity. And besides, how could Jesus only be elect?
I said the Lord Jesus Christ is the Elect.

Rufus said:
God elected the Head but not his Body!? Don't you know all those in Christ are ONE with him and in perfect unity with Him positionally.
If you believe you were a member in the body of Lord Jesus Christ prior to being born again, you are mistaken.

.

People elect themselves. Yeah, I have heard of that crazy mixed up carnal theology before.
As Rufus was replying to me ... please provide the post submitted by me wherein I stated "people elect themselves". Thank you.

[not expecting a response from you ... you prefer to slander then slink away without responding when someone asks for proof of what you claim ... ]

The old was given the new so they would be saved by the only way you can be saved through Jesus Christ.

How did one give the old to the new?

And you haven't answered my question about Gentile believers in his this NC economy: How are any Gentile saved since God never made any covenant with the Gentile nations?

.

So in your universe you have severed the elect Federal Head of God's chosen people from the chosen people! So, tell me: How does the Last Adam become the federal head of God's chosen ones?

And, yes, of course, I believe I was a member of the Body of Christ long before the world began! Positionally, I was in Christ in eternity by divine decree. Functionally, I wasn't in Him until my new birth in temporal reality. Another biblical paradox.

Ephesians2-1-3s.png

Ephesians 2 v 1-3 You were dead in your trespasses and sins, in which you used to walk when you conformed to the ways of this world and of the ruler of the power of the air, the spirit who is now at work in the sons of disobedience. All of us also lived among them at one time, fulfilling the cravings of our flesh and indulging its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature children of wrath. :)

:)

And that would necessarily have to include all the promises God made to Abraham via His covenant. There is NO "yes" to any covenantal promises made by God outside of Christ.

Ephesians 2 v 10 We are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

you consider yourself a "chosen one", yes?
.

And you do not, correct? So answer these questions: Is the Last Adam the Federal Head of Gentile believers in this NC age? If not, then, Gentile believers still die in the first Adam, correct? But if the Last Adam is in fact the Federal Head of Gentile believers, then where in scripture did God make a redemptive covenant with each and every Gentile w/o exception on the planet?

So, God now is a rapist, a kidnapper, a bully, a fascist dictator and an unfair and unjust moral monster --all because He decreed to rescue helpless sinners and bring them into his kingdom!? Come Judgment Day, I hope I'm far, far away from these FW blasphemers, many of whom will be cast into the Lake of Fire for their arrogance and pride.

The only way people "want to be saved" is by God granting them the grace that instills the Fear of Himself in them and by circumcising their hearts so that they can love Him -- both of which are unilateral promises given only to his covenant people.
Their willingness to blaspheme is legendary... just as they are in their own minds... which goes a long way to explaining their
Pelagian heresy, since man made in their own image cannot be the creature God's revealed written Word proclaims him to be.
This too is why he rewrites Scripture to his own liking, even Jesus' words, to make it better suit his erroneous thinking.

The Old is NOT being brought to the New! The Old DIED at the Cross of Christ! That is what the rent curtain in
the temple signifies! It signifies several things, including a complete new way God has provided for salvation.

Furthermore, Abraham's spiritual descendants are not included in the New Covenant! Then you need to
explain how any Gentiles are saved in this NC age since God never made any covenant with Gentile nations.

And, yes, Paul considered himself a child of promise; for anyone who believes in Christ in this age is a spiritual
JEW, i.e. a child of Abraham (Gal 3:29)! Was not Paul a NC believer? And didn't he write to NC believers in Galatia?
Ephesians2-13-15s.png

Ephesians 2:13-15a ~ In Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near through the blood of Christ. For He Himself is our peace, who has made the two one and has torn down the dividing wall of hostility by abolishing in His flesh the law of commandments and decrees.
