Jesus stopped reading before the part about the day of vengeance, because obviously that had not come yet.

Some seem to think that Jesus' reign as king won't begin until he is kicking as* and taking names, but that's not the case. He's king over his holy nation and the kingdom of God right now.

What do you mean above in bold?

What do you mean above in bold?
The day of vengeance when he pours out his wrath on the earth, ie the day of the lord.

In other words, some people interpret power of the kingdom of God to mean only violent power that destroys it's enemies. That is a power of God, but it is not the power of God. Jesus destroyed the power of the devil through his death.

Was Jerusalem of old considered the kingdom of God?If the answer is "yes"Then Jesus says that the kingdom will be taken away from them. Was this statement fulfilled in the eyes of a Zionist? If your answer is "yes" Explain how the modern state of Israel fits into this parable, please.

How does spiritual Israel fit exactly into this parable like a puzzle piece, but the modern state of Israel doesn't?Can a Zionist give their opinion?

Well the kingdom of God does not come from Israel The New Jerusalem comes from heaven complete with a new earth and heaven. But in order for this to be so God uses the promised land to stage this event. To fulfill the promises he made to Abraham and Jesus.
All will not pass away until all is fulfilled. How he does it seems to be quite a debate but why he does it is clear according to the prophets. It for Gods name sake not by any merit of Israel.

I'd like to express myself here a bit. To give you and others something to think about.
I see this scripture often written from paul....there is neither Greek or jew rich or poor male or female for all are one in Christ Jesus.
If you say you are in Christ then why do you see a jew, or zionist or Israeli? Jesus called them lost sheep in need of a shepherd.
He wept over Jerusalem,
When Jesus cried out father forgive them for they know not what they do was that only for us...did that exclude the jews?
Why do you play this game with me? I posted a verse that you completely ignored about Jesus being both the lamb of God who was slain and the lion of the tribe of Judah who conquered the world and devil. He was both. If you keep doing this to me I'm just going to start ignoring you. Contrary people like you are not good for my mental and spiritual health

He comes back as the lion of Judah. The one who overcame the world and is now worthy to open the scrolls.
Rev:5.5
Your whole thing was about being king. A king. Being king of israel. Rejected king. Now we are into lion of Judah. Give me a break stop changing the narrative.
If you feel you have to ignore me fine sorry you feel this way. Your transfiguration assessment is in error, fix it and move on. No harm no foul.

The kingdom of God was born in the land of Israel. Then after it's king was murdered and raised from the dead, it spread into all of the world. It is now headquartered in heaven until the temple of God currently under construction is finished, at which time the king will return with his kingdom, holy nation, Israel of God that consists of all the spiritual seed of Abraham throughout all of time, and so all Israel will be saved.

Ignoring Jesus' transfiguration as the coming of the kingdom of God to Israel, as the text plainly says, is due to spiritual blindness and dullness of heart from unbelief.

The OC was fulfilled in Jesus, already. The next time Jesus returns will be for judgment. We are living in the last days!!

The kingdom of God came to Israel and all but a remnant rejected it. Consequently, the king of Israel moved his throne to heavenly Zion from where he now rules over the kingdom of God on earth. There he will stay until the temple of God is completed and the father has made his enemies his footstool. Then he will stand and return with his kingdom, his holy nation, the Israel of God, and establish his kingdom on earth forever. Come King Jesus!

Then maybe you can explain his reign for 1000 yrs . What's that about. Obviously I' and others have it wrong. Others here who do not even approach this but work around it.
Let me express something here. According to what I have gleaned from the scriptures is that from Genesis to revelation all has been done and fulfilled or there would be no ending in the testimony of God. (The bible).
But here on earth God created time, and appointed time and seasons. So if your going spiritlize things and say it is fulfillment then I will disagree.

The kingdom already came, it’s the established church.

-“Even so then, at this present time there is a remnant according to the election of grace. What then? Israel has not obtained what it seeks; but the elect have obtained it, and the rest were blinded. Just as it is written: “God has given them a spirit of stupor, Eyes that they should not see And ears that they should not hear, To this very day.” And David says: “Let their table become a snare and a trap, a stumbling block and a recompense to them. Let their eyes be darkened, so that they do not see, and bow down their back always.””
‭‭Romans‬ ‭11‬:‭5‬, ‭7‬-‭10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

-"Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power. For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet."
I Corinthians 15:24-25 NKJV

While I agree that the kingdom is present today, it cannot be defined as "the church". The kingdom may be within the called out but, since the kingdom is a way of life, it has no geographic location.

This is what is understood by "...the kingdom of God is within you".

and by

"..the kingdom of God is... righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit."

These principle truths are made available to man in Christ alone.

The kingdom of God's king has no earthly location, for he dwells in heaven, but his living subjects dwell on earth, and the kingdom of God is made manifest to the world through them

They were preaching the gospel—-

-"Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, "The kingdom of God does not come with observation; nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.""
Luke 17:20-21 NKJV

-"And heal the sick there, and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’ But whatever city you enter, and they do not receive you, go out into its streets and say, ‘The very dust of your city which clings to us we wipe off against you. Nevertheless know this, that the kingdom of God has come near you.’"
Luke 10:9-11 NKJV

The “Church” are the local believers/ members in Christ.

Of course.

I'm not sure where our views diverge. The kingdom is the kingdom. The church is the church. If they were the same thing we would not need two different words.

Sure, they are often connected (like @ChristRoseFromTheDead wrote) but they are distinct. Sometimes churches don't walk in the kingdom so God will send them someone who can teach them foundational principles of kingdom living. A believer may be "in Christ" but the kingdom may be absent from their lives for one reason or another. That is why correction is common in the epistles.
