The reason I know you don't understand those verses because you believe in election. Those verses say God gave the Gentiles Repentance. The way you are explaining it would mean God gave all Gentiles Repentance. Is EVERY GENTILE TODAY SAVED BECAUSE GOD GAVE THEM REPENTANCE? IT'S ONLY 8 BILLION GENTILES CURRENTLY. ARE THEY ALL GIVEN REPENTANCE?
Also if you read the verses before the Gentiles spoke in tongues and the Holy Ghost overcome them. Then those who witness knew that God gave the Gentiles Repentance.
In the Bible those who spoke in Tongues were saved. Have you ever spoke in tongues?
