I have opened my eyes, heart, and mind, and have both experienced and witnessed things that are consistent with the descriptions in 1 Corinthians. Apparently you have not.
I have never seen Japan or Australia, but I am sure they exist because I don’t assume every other human is a deluded liar. Perhaps you should have more faith in God’s goodness than in human brokenness… especially among people who name Jesus as Lord.
Both of us live in the same place, same time and with the same access to the world around us, yet we see two totally different realities. How can this be? Is not your up & down the same as my up and down, does not 1+1=2 the same for both of us?
Why are so many people not seeing these restorers of sight, these healers of disease, these restorers of life itself?
Why are they not being mobbed, why are their roofs not being pulled apart, why are they not using these gifts to proclaim the gospel of Christ?
Simply put, where are they?
Your anecdotal comments are not convincing on such an issue as this. I doubt you would accept such claims as evidence on other topics.
Below is the world in which the physical supernatural manifestations are active. This is not our world.
Acts 4:9-12
Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them: “Rulers and elders of the people! If we are being called to account today for an act of kindness shown to a man who was lame and are being asked how he was healed, then know this, you and all the people of Israel: It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed.
Acts 28:8-10
His father was sick in bed, suffering from fever and dysentery. Paul went in to see him and, after prayer, placed his hands on him and healed him. When this had happened, the rest of the sick on the island came and were cured. They honored us in many ways; and when we were ready to sail, they furnished us with the supplies we needed.
Acts 5:14-16
And increasingly believers in the Lord, large numbers of men and women, were being added to
their number, to such an extent that they even carried the sick out into the streets and laid them on cots and pallets, so that when Peter came by at least his shadow might fall on any of them. The people from the cities in the vicinity of Jerusalem were coming together as well, bringing people who were sick or tormented with unclean spirits, and they were all being healed.
Acts 19:11-12
God did extraordinary miracles through Paul, so that even handkerchiefs and aprons that had touched him were taken to the sick, and their illnesses were cured and the evil spirits left them.
It seems your theology has blinded you.
