By the way... Alby I've been watching you post a lot on the forum the last couple days, and I gotta say it's flipping hard to pin down exactly what you think. Posts you make in one thread indicate you think one way, then posts in another thread are contradictory.

Contradictory is actually a really good word here. You contradict yourself more than a stadium full of JFK conspiracy theorists. In fact you contradict yourself almost as much as Oliver Stone contradicts himself. Only almost. So far.

well, that's like your opinion, man (and I don't care)

One of my kids has been behaving so badly lately, taking drugs, running away, being violent....I felt like I hated him... but the love was still there underneath and it always will be.... I unconditionally love my kids, I can't help it it's just there....
This makes me sad, I'm sorry

And to answer the question, I do believe unconditional love exist. God of course and i believe humanity is capable of expressing form of this love. Is it done often? NO. Is it possible? I think so. Otherwise, I don't think Jesus would have said it was one of the greatest commandments. Additionally, in respects to man and woman, The Bible says that the husband should be willing to die for the wife. If unconditional love was not an option I don't think it would have said that. IDK that men do this or feel this way though, idk.

“She Didn’t Marry a Hero—She Stayed with a Broken Man”: Johnny Joey Jones Breaks Down Live on Fox News in Heart-Shattering Tribute to His Wife

What started as a standard segment on Fox & Friends quickly turned into a moment of pure, unfiltered emotion when decorated war veteran Johnny Joey Jones unexpectedly broke down on live TV. Fighting back tears, he turned to the camera and uttered the words he says he’s never spoken aloud: “I owe her my life — and I never said it out loud until now.”
As the studio fell silent, Jones delivered a raw tribute to his wife, Meg — the woman who stood by him after war left him without his legs. “She didn’t marry a hero,” he whispered. “She stayed with a broken man until he could walk again… without legs.”

This wasn’t just television. It was a soul-opening moment from a man who had survived the battlefield but said his hardest fight was learning to let someone love him again. “I tried to push her away,” Jones admitted. “But she never let go.” More Below

We've had so many trolls come through here since then that I don't even remember this one. That's how many we deal with regularly.

And every time somebody pulls up the thread years later, it turns out they have always been banned.

Every time this topic comes up on the forum, I think of this.

The author's fiance, then wife, went a few rounds with breast cancer. This chronicles some of the high and low points.

The last three boxes are what I'm always reminded of.

One could ponder whether the very opposite exists. Unconditional hatred. I feel this towards Stalin and other evil dictators the world has known. But I never knew the guy personally.
right, you never knew the guy. but think of this: you can correct your feelings about him & just have jesus deal with it. no Christian likes what an evil person has done to mankind.

I know that all the people who broke my heart, even all the people who hated me;
if they came to me sincerely wanting to be my friend, I would accept them,
and if I saw on the day of judgment that they overcame and are saved, I would greatly rejoice.

Personally think unconditional love is natural to us, however, in our fallen state we often turn it into something sickeningly soppy, sentimental and downright harmful at times. However, it's still there.

As a Mum of children who range from mid-30's to early 40's, they do still have my unconditional love but it isn't the *at all costs* love i felt at times, when they were young. It would probably be very harmful to them and people they engage with, if i still felt such love for them. Personally think unconditional love means you can reject and detest horrible things loved ones do, while still feeling deep love for them. I don't think it's loving to them or those they hurt, if you don't call them out on awful/wicked things they do.

Hope that makes some sense, i know what i mean! :p

He lost both legs for his country and his Wife stayed with him. Ok so the man did turn into a hero and that's good in long run I suppose, but I couldn't help but to think about the Wife's actions...That what the Wife did was Very Heroic in my book ! Not a lot of women would stay.

I wonder if unconditional love or true love really exist in this world. What do you think?
You don’t have to look for love i it’s where you come from.

Consider:
You don’t have to look for love if it’s where you come from.
Be true about it. Be unconditional about it.
Exist like that and see how you show up-in this world.
-Not making this up

I'm not a biological mum but I have 5 step daughters and I honestly didn't consciously realise how much I loved them until recently . One of them was recently being treated disrespectfully by her boyfriend and if I had met up with him around that time , he would have felt my wrath for sure . Another almost lost her life giving birth and I was beside myself with sorry for her . It's not until a person is in trouble or danger that u realise how much u feel for them . I'm guessing that most parents unconditionally love their children . I think u know just how much u really love someone else when their happiness means more to u than your own does , when u would b prepared to make enormous sacrifices to ensure someone else's health and happiness above your own . I know for sure , that no one loves me more than God and Jesus do .

Oh, the question,, lol! I got sidetracked.

Of course there is unconditional Love. God is Love. Jesus is love. The Father is in Him and Him in the Father so the Father is pure love also and of course the Holy Spirit is very much so within all and is love.

SO it can reasonable be presumed that Love is indeed the single most powerful thing in existence anywhere.

I used to think that love was a two-way street. But it's not, it is a one way street. Loving another has nothing to do with whether or not they love you, fact is, you either love them or you dont! When a man (or woman) loves someone and they are lucky enough that the 2nd party loves them also...I am here to tell you that, A Spiritual like thing occurs, there is a bonding of those two spirits and a good connection made. I was blessed and got to experience that very thing before in my 1st Wife.

When I met her, she was freshly immigrated to the US and only knew about 3 words of English, lol. I have always liked the Cinderella type of girls. and when I met her she was 17 and never really been to the big city before, lol. So everything was new and fascinating to her because she was raised on a farm in old country Poland, and she cook like nobody you ever seen before! Just my type of girl. The language barrier wasn't even a barrier to a young man of US ilk at the time. I liked her at once and wanted her. That little girl was so easy to fall in love with and I did fall in love with her. And in those early years she was in love with me too. And found it pretty easy to talk to her and I showed her many new things that she had never seen before, so she fell for me hard too. So I got a place appropriate and we got married the 2nd year.

But we got so close that it was like we could read each others minds. We had friends over one day and someone was talking and going on about something and I was just sitting there listening to my friend talk and I looked at her and I knew right away what she was thinking! So I gave her my assent with a look and then she answered me with another look, and I knew what she meant! We were talking with our eyes? Our spirit? We was connected, and it had to be the Love Connection! SO we was sitting there talking silently about my friend and then she up and changed the subject on me, and I immediately picked up on it. I was thinking, no way! Is this really happening? SO I gave her her a (spiritual) answer to her change of subject and we talked abut something else for a few.

Suddenly I was bored with my friends company and wanted them to leave so I could compare notes with my wife! But it wouldn't look good for one to drag the other one into the other room for a quick private conversation, they guests might feel funny, lol Eventually they did leave and so I sat my wife down and asked her about it, and was we sitting there and you thought this or that? and she confirmed it what she was thinking and says and you answered me and was thinking this or this (I forget what it was about)!! And she was right and thought that was way cool. Neither of us really had a clue what it really was, just that it seemed like we could read each others minds. Very cool to pay with. The next day I was thinking about it and I wondered if it would work at a distance? And she was upstairs cleaning. So I sat in m chair in the LR and called for her to come to me, mentally, nothing spoken. And in about 10 seconds she's coming down the stairs asking if I need something? !!

So I told her what I did the novelty of it wore off on her and she stopped liking talking about that stuff. But it was a real season in my life that I had a spiritual connection with someone through Love that did happen to me.

Eventually, meeting my friends wives and stuff gave her opportunity to learn dark sub culture girl stuff of the US. She got "Americanized" over time and became materialistic. When my income dipped below 6 figures she divorced me to "go marry a millionaire". She didnt like the phenomenon of reading her mind either, lol. I also had body language classes and interrogation techniques and all that stuff when I was trained to for law enforcement stuff. But I was somehow blessed or smart enough to not let them swear me in! I'd prolly be a punk by now if I had worked cop duty. But that was my wife so I could read her like a book, even from the early days! She got to where she hated that and used to call me the human lie detector. Lol. I wish her well.

But the Unconditional Love is real and it is powerful. I told her she was pregnant before she knew it herself! nd I was exactly right.

Yeah... You find out how much you love somebody when people do them wrong, and suddenly you notice the word "eviscerate" coming up in your conversation a lot.

That's so true brother! A man would kill for the wife he loves. Unconditional love is when you'll help them hide the bodies, lol! It tells all about love in scripture and all about God's love, as He is the source for all love.

After I was divorced and met up with the Lord again, the 1st thing he started teaching me about was love. The enitre scriptures are about love. In deed the Word is a love letter.

Then it hit me that earthly marriage and relationships were a dry run for us in our real relationship with the Lord as His Bride! What a teaching mechanism! (She talks so much! Lol!!)

Yep, she most certainly wins the Medal of Honor for genuine and exemplar 'Unconditional Love!!!'
Her commitment and sacrifice is what brought me to tears to make the post... As he said, she ultimately 'saved' him and their marriage and family in the process of her True Valor and Unconditional Commitment to all that she loves dearly! Her husband, children and family!!! She's my hero in this story!!!

I think it only exists in the way that God loves us.

We say we love unconditionally but then we treat poorly, at times, those who we feel arent loving us back.

We break the toxic off from our lives because they are not good for us, allthough the chances are that they need love the most.

Some of us see evil in the world and instead of praying we become bitter and think harsh thoughts about those who we should be praying for.

I love my husband. I really do. But my love is far from unconditional.

I would say we hope to love perfectly, but we will all fail and be failed.

Thats where forgivness comes in.

These are just my thoughts:)
